When anyone wipes himself with pebbles (after answering the call of nature) he must make use of an odd number and when any one of you performs ablution he must snuff in his nose water and then clean it.

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ وِتْرًا وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ فِي أَنْفِهِ مَاءً ثُمَّ لْيَنْتَثِرْ

The Messenger of Allah (way peace he upon him) said: When anyone performs ablution he must clean his nose and when anyone wipes himself with pebbles (after answering the call of nature) he must do that odd number of times.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

When anyone wipes himself with pebbles (after answering the call of nature) he should do this odd number of times.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُوتِرْ

" When one amongst you strikes (at the face)."

وَقَالَ إِذَا ضَرَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ

The Prophet ﷺ said: When one of you inflicts a beating, he should avoid striking the face.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا ضَرَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَّقِ الْوَجْهَ

"Whoever performs Wudu' then let him sniff water in the nose and blow it out, and whoever uses small stones (to remove filth) then make it odd (numbered)."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

"When you perform Wudu', sniff water in your nose and blow it out, and when you use small stones (to remove filth), then make it off (numbered)."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَاسْتَنْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ

The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'When you perform ablution, clean your nose, and when you use pebbles to clean yourself after defecating, use an odd number.'"

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَانْثُرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever performs ablution, let him clean his nose, and whoever uses pebbles to clean himself after defecating, let him use an odd number.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

"If one of you consults his brother, then let him advise him."

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَشَارَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُشِرْ عَلَيْهِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُوتِرْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you perform ablution, one of you should insist on rinsing the mouth and when you take in the water through the nose, you should blow it out."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If anyone of you performs ablution he should put water in his nose and then blow it out and whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do so with odd numbers. And whoever wakes up from his sleep should wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution, because nobody knows where his hands were during sleep." (Using translation from Bukhārī 162)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ فِي أَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ لِيَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you performs ablution, let him rinse his nose, and when he performs istijmar (cleansing with stones after using the bathroom), let him do it an odd number of times."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

[AI] The following passage translates to: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When one of you applies kohl (eyeliner), let him do so with an odd number, and when one of you performs istinja (cleansing after using the bathroom), let him do so with an odd number."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اكْتَحَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْتَحِلْ وِتْرًا وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ وِتْرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of you applies kohl, let him apply it to both eyes."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اكْتَحَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْتَحِلْ وِتْرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you applies kohl, let them apply it in odd numbers. And when one of you performs istinja, let them perform it in odd numbers."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اكْتَحَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْتَحِلْ وِتْرًا وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ وِتْرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wants to perform istijmar (cleansing after using the restroom), let him do it three times."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ ثَلَاثًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you prays, let him cover himself for his prayer, even if it is with an arrow."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَتِرْ لِصَلَاتِهِ وَلَوْ بِسَهْمٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you performs 'Istijmar', then let him perform 'Witr'. And when one of you applies 'kohl', then let him apply 'Witr'."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ وِتْرًا وَإِذَا اكْتَحَلَ فَلْيَكْتَحِلْ وِتْرًا

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When one of you applies kohl (eyeliner), let them apply it in odd numbers, and when one of you performs istijmar (cleaning oneself after using the bathroom), let them perform it in odd numbers."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اكْتَحَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْتَحِلْ وِتْرًا وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ وِتْرًا

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَانْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up, let him rinse his mouth three times."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَنْتُرْ ذَكَرَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'zZinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you do wudu, snuff water into your nose and blow it out, and if you use stones to clean your private parts use an odd number."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ فِي أَنْفِهِ مَاءً ثُمَّ لِيَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

Yahya related to me from Ibn Shihab from Abu Idris al-Khawlani from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The person doing wudu should snuff water up his nose and blow it out again."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should neglect his prayer, even if it is with an arrow."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيَسْتُرْ أَحَدُكُمْ صَلَاتَهُ وَلَوْ بِسَهْمٍ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up in the morning and has not performed the Witr prayer, let them perform it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَصْبَحَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلَمْ يُوتِرْ فَلْيُوتِرْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you asks, let him ask abundantly, for indeed he is asking his Lord."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَأَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُكْثِرْ فَإِنَّهُ يَسْأَلُ رَبَّهُ»

The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'When you perform ablution, clean your nose, and when you use pebbles to clean yourself after defecating, use an odd number.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 406)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَاسْتَنْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ»

[AI] "He heard Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa'id Al Khudri say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ablution should then sprinkle water on his face, and whoever performs istinja (cleansing after using the bathroom) should then perform istitr (cleaning with water)."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولَانِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ»

[AI] "Narrated by Al-Qa'nabiyyu from Malik from Abu Zinad from Al-A'raj from Abu Hurayrah, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you performs ablution, let him put water in his nose and then blow it out, and whoever performs Istijmar (cleansing with stones or similar materials after using the toilet) should perform Wudu (ablution) afterwards.'"

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلِ الْمَاءَ فِي أَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ لِيَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ»

When any one of you fights with his brother he should avoid striking at the face. (Using translation from Muslim 2612a)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا قَاتَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْتَنِبِ الْوَجْهَ»

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ للَّهِ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال إذا ضرب أحدكم فليتق الوجه

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا قاتل أحدكم فليجتنب الوجه مضارب بن حزن

The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'When you perform ablution, clean your nose, and when you use pebbles to clean yourself after defecating, use an odd number.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 406)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَاسْتَنْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَاسْتَنْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "One of you should cover himself during his prayer, even with an arrow."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لِيَسْتَتِرْ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ وَلَوْ بِسَهْمٍ»

The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'When you perform ablution, clean your nose, and when you use pebbles to clean yourself after defecating, use an odd number.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 406)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتُمْ فَأَوْتِرُوا وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأْتُمْ فَاسْتَنْثِرُوا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you buys food, do not sell it until you receive it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اشْتَرَى أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَامًا فَلَا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you stands up for prayer, he should not close his eyes."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَغْمِضْ عَيْنَيْهِ»

[AI] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that Ibn Lahi'a has narrated from al-Harith bin Yazid, from Abdullah bin Jubayr, from 'Uqbah bin 'Amir, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you applies kohl, let him apply it three times, and when one of you performs istijmar, let him perform it three times."

ثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا اكْتَحَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْتَحِلْ وِتْرًا وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ وِتْرًا»

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 479)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"When you perform Wudu', sniff water in your nose and blow it out, and when you use small stones (to remove filth), then make it off (numbered)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 89)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَاسْتَنْثِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever performs ablution should clean his nose with water by putting the water in it and then blowing it out, and whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do it with odd number of stones." (Using translation from Bukhārī 161)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ»

"إذا اكْتَحل أحدُكم فليَكْتَحل وتْرًا، وإذا اسْتَجْمَر فليستجمر وتْرًا" .
