The Prophet ﷺ and one of his wives used to take a bath from a single pot of water. (Shuʿba added to Anas' Statement "After the Janaba").

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ يَغْتَسِلاَنِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ زَادَ مُسْلِمٌ وَوَهْبٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ

"I heard Anas bin Malik say: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Wudu' with a Makkuk (cup) and Ghusl with five Makkuks (cups).'"

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسَةِ مَكَاكِيَّ

"I heard Anas bin Malik say: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Wudu' with a Makkuk and Ghusl with five Makkuks.'"

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسَةِ مَكَاكِيَّ

"My maternal aunt Maimunah told me that she and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Ghusl from one vessel."

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"I heard Anas bin Malik say: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Wudu' with a Makkuk (cup) and Ghusl with five Makkuks (cups).'"

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسَةِ مَكَاكِيَّ

"The Prophet and his wife would take a bath from one vessel, but neither of them would have a bath with the leftover water of the other." (Daif)

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَهْلُهُ يَغْتَسِلُونَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَلاَ يَغْتَسِلُ أَحَدُهُمَا بِفَضْلِ صَاحِبِهِ

"The Messenger of Allah and his wives used to take a bath from a single vessel."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ يَغْتَسِلُونَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

She and the Messenger of Allah used to take a bath from a single vessel.

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلاَنِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"I heard Anas bin Malik say: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Wudu' with a Makkuk (cup) and Ghusl with five Makkuks (cups).'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 73)

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمَكُّوكِ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسِ مَكَاكِيكَ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his wife used to do ghusl from the same vessel.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَهْلُهُ يَغْتَسِلُونَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ and the woman from his wives used to take a ritual bath from the same vessel. He would take a bath with five scoops of water and perform ablution with a dipper.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَكَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسِ مَكَاكِيَّ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the woman from his wives used to perform their ablutions from the same container, and he would perform ablutions with five handfuls of water and perform ablution with a vessel (Makook).

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَكَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسِ مَكَاكِيَّ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take a bath, along with a woman from his wives, from one vessel.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ هُوَ وَامْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to perform ritual purification (washing) with a woman from his wives using the same vessel.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلُ مَعَ الْمَرْأَةِ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ

[AI] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying, "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take a bath, the woman from his wives would use the same vessel."

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيَغْتَسِلُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ

"I heard Anas bin Malik say: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Wudu' with a Makkuk (cup) and Ghusl with five Makkuks (cups).'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 73)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلُبِخَمْسَةِ مَكَاكِيكَ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ

"My maternal aunt Maimunah told me that she and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Ghusl from one vessel." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 236)

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ هِيَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"The Messenger of Allah and I would take a bath from a single vessel." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 376)

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَهُوَ بَيْنَهُمَا

"The Messenger of Allah and I would take a bath from a single vessel." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 376)

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"The Messenger of Allah and I would take a bath from a single vessel." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 376)

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"I heard Al-Qasim narrating that 'Aishah said: 'I used to perform Ghusl, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I from a single vessel, from Janabah.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 233)

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"My maternal aunt Maimunah told me that she and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Ghusl from one vessel." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 236)

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ هِيَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to kiss some of his wives while he was fasting.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ بَعْضَ نِسَائِهِ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ

"The Messenger of Allah and I would take a bath from a single vessel." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 376)

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The translation of the passage into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to kiss some of his wives while he was fasting."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ بَعْضَ نِسَائِهِ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ

"My maternal aunt Maimunah told me that she and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Ghusl from one vessel." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 236)

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ هِيَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"I heard Al-Qasim narrating that 'Aishah said: 'I used to perform Ghusl, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I from a single vessel, from Janabah.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 233)

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

"The Messenger of Allah and I would take a bath from a single vessel." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 376)

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az- Zubayr from A'isha, umm al-muminin, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do ghusl for major ritual impurity from a vessel which contained a faraq.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ هُوَ الْفَرَقُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ

Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) took a bath with five Makkuks of water and performed ablution with one Makkuk. Ibn Muthanna has used the words five Makakiyya, and Ibn Mu'adh narrated it from 'Abdullah b. 'Abdullah and he made no mention of Ibn Jabr. (Using translation from Muslim 325a)

"I heard Anas bin Malik say: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Wudu' with a Makkuk (cup) and Ghusl with five Makkuks (cups).'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 73)

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسِ مَكَاكِيٍّ»

قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلُ هُوَ ونسائه مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

قالت كنت أغتسل أنا ورسول اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ واحد

قالت كنت أغتسل أنا ورسول اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ واحد

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take a bath together with Aisha, and they would quarrel over the water."

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَائِشَةُ ؓ يَغْتَسِلَانِ منْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ فيتنازعانِ الْمَاءَ»

The Prophet ﷺ and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. While in Iʿtikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses). (Using translation from Bukhārī 299)

«كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He and his wife can perform ablution from the same vessel."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «اغْتَسَلَ هُوَ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution, and some of his wives also from a single vessel.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَغْتَسِلُ وَبَعْضُ نِسَائِهِ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Ayesha used to perform ghusl (ritual bathing) from a single container.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ كَانَا «يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and she used to "perform ablution from one vessel."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ كَانَا «يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ «تَغْتَسِلُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ and the woman from his wives used to perform ablution from one vessel.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

" عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ يَغْتَسِلُونَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحد ".

" أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ".
