He said: 'You should not learn it, O 'Aishah, and I should not teach it to you, for you should not ask for any worldly things thereby.'" She said: "So I got up and performed ablution, then I prayed two Rak'ah, then I said: 'O Allah, I call upon Allah, and I call upon You, Ar-Rahman (the Most Gracious), and I call upon You, Al-Barr Ar-Rahim (The Most Kind, the Most Merciful), and I call upon You by all Your beautiful Names, those that I know and those that I do not know, (asking) that You forgive me and have mercy on me.' [Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ: "Indeed, the greatest name of Allah is found in three Surahs of the Quran." Isa ibn Musa said, while I was listening, "O Aba Zabir, I heard Ghaylan ibn Anas say that he heard Al-Qasim Abu Abdur Rahman say that he heard Abu Umamah narrate from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Indeed, the greatest name of Allah is found in three Surahs.' Then he mentioned a similar narration from Amr ibn Abi Salamah: 'This does not invalidate the hadith of Al-Walid ibn Muslim, for Al-Walid is more knowledgeable, skillful, and well-acquainted with the hadith of his land, although the two sheikhs did not rely on Al-Qasim Abu Abdur Rahman.'"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man saying: O Allah, I ask Thee, I bear witness that there is no god but Thou, the One, He to Whom men repair, Who has not begotten, and has not been begotten, and to Whom no one is equal, and he said: You have supplicated Allah using His Greatest Name, when asked with this name He gives, and when supplicated by this name he answers. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1493)

[Machine] He entered the mosque with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and there was a man praying, supplicating and saying, "O Allah, I ask You by virtue of the fact that I bear witness that there is no god but You, the One, the Eternal, who begets not nor was He begotten, and there is none comparable unto Him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, he has asked Allah by His greatest name, which if He is called upon using it, He answers, and if He is asked by it, He gives." And when a man was reciting in a corner of the mosque, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He has been given a melodious voice from among the melodious voices of the family of Dawood (David)." The man said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I inform him?" He said, "Yes, inform him." So I informed Abu Musa, and he said, "He will always be my friend."

I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and a man was offering prayer. He then made supplication: O Allah, I ask Thee by virtue of the fact that praise is due to Thee, there is no deity but Thou, Who showest favour and beneficence, the Originator of the Heavens and the earth, O Lord of Majesty and Splendour, O Living One, O Eternal One. The Prophet ﷺ then said: He has supplicated Allah using His Greatest Name, when supplicated by this name, He answers, and when asked by this name He gives. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1495)

[Machine] A recent hadith narrated from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Recite this supplication: O Allah, I ask You by Your Greatest Name and Your Greatest Pleasure." Salma repeated it multiple times, as it is one of the names of Allah the Almighty. I have always heard that Jadd bin Amir had a rock that would rise up without sinking into the water. He was the son of Malik, the son of Fatimah, the daughter of Abi Marthad, from the Kinana tribe descended from Husayn bin Nafar bin Yarbu'.
