Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the eating of donkey-meat.

نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الأَهْلِيَّةِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the eating of the meat of beasts having fangs.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ

Ibn Abbas reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the eating) of all the fanged beasts of prey, and of all the birds having talons.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ وَعَنْ كُلِّ ذِي مِخْلَبٍ مِنَ الطَّيْرِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us to eat horse-flesh, the flesh of mules and of asses. The narrator Haywah added: Every beast of prey with a fang. Abu Dawud said: This view is held by Malik. Abu Dawud said: There is no harm in (eating) horse-flesh and this tradition is not practised. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been abrogated. A body of Companions of the Prophet ﷺ had eaten horse-flesh. OF them are: Ibn al-Zubair, Fudalah bin 'Ubaid, Anas bin Malik, Asma' daughter of Abu Bakr, Suwaid bin Ghaflah, 'Alqamah; the Quraish used to slaughter them (horses) during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ زَادَ حَيْوَةُ وَكُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited eating fanged beasts of prey.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السَّبُعِ

the Prophet forbade eating any predator that has fangs."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ

"The Messenger of Allah allowed us to eat the flesh of horses but he forbade the flesh of donkeys."

أَطْعَمَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ وَنَهَانَا عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ

"It is not permissible to eat the flesh of horses, mules or donkeys."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ يَحِلُّ أَكْلُ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ

the Messenger of Allah forbade eating the flesh of horses, mules and donkeys, and any predator that has fangs.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ وَكُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ

the Messenger of Allah forbade eating any -predator with fangs, and the flesh of domesticated donkeys.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الأَهْلِيَّةِ

"On the Day of Khaibar we ate the flesh of horses, and onagers, but the Prophet forbade us (from eating) donkeys."(sahih)

أَكَلْنَا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَحْشِ وَنَهَانَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ الْحِمَارِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the flesh of horses, mules and donkeys.”

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade the eating of wild animals having fangs. (Az-Zuhri said: I did not hear this narration except when I went to Sham.) Al-Laith said: Narrated Yunus: I asked Ibn Shihab, "May we perform the ablution with the milk of she-asses or drink it, or drink the bile of wild animals or urine of camels?" He replied, "The Muslims used to treat themselves with that and did not see any harm in it. As for the milk of she-asses, we have learnt that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the eating of their meat, but we have not received any information whether drinking of their milk is allowed or forbidden." As for the bile of wild animals, Ibn Shihab said, "Abu Idris Al-Khaulani told me that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the eating of the flesh of every wild beast having fangs . the Prophet forbade eating any predator that has fangs." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4325)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the eating of donkey-meat. (Using translation from Bukhārī 4218)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited eating the animal which feeds on filth and drinking its milk. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3785)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَكْلِ الْجَلَّالَةِ وَأَلْبَانِهَا»

"The Messenger of Allah allowed us to eat the flesh of horses but he forbade the flesh of donkeys." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4328)

«أَطْعَمَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ وَنَهَانَا عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted us to eat horse meat and prohibited us from eating donkey meat."

«رَخَّصَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَنَهَانَا عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ»

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ»

أَنَّهُ قَالَ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الضَّحَايَا بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ»

"It is not permissible to eat the flesh of horses, mules or donkeys." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4331)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحِلُّ أَكْلُ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the consumption of camel meat, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the consumption of horse meat."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ وَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِلُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ أَنْ تُؤْكَلَ»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prohibited the killing of every wild predatory animal."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ» نَهَى عَنْ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السَّبُعِ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited every animal with canines among the wild animals.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ»

"نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ".
