[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, can you provide me with guidance regarding lost and found items?" He replied, "If you find something on a well-traveled road or in a populated area, then announce it for a year. If you do not find its owner, then it is for you. And if you find something in a village or on a less-traveled road, then it is subject to one-fifth (as tax)." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what if I lost my bow?" He said, "Any bow that returns to you is yours." I asked, "And what if it disappears from me?" He said, "If you do not find any trace of arrow or spear in it after losing it, then it is lost."

[Machine] He heard Abu Thalabah saying, "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land of the People of the Book, and we eat with them in their utensils. And our land is a hunting land, and we hunt with bows and trained dogs, and also with dogs that are not trained. So, tell me what is permissible for me out of what is forbidden to us?' He said, 'Regarding what you mentioned about being in the land of the People of the Book and eating with their utensils, if you find other utensils, do not eat in them. But if you do not find others, then wash them and eat in them. And as for what you mentioned about hunting, whatever you hunt with your bow and you mention the name of Allah upon, then eat from it. And whatever is caught by your non-trained dog, eat from it as long as you catch up to it. And whatever your trained dog catches, eat from what it caught while it was with you and mention the name of Allah upon it.'"
[Machine] "Narrated by Abu Tha'labah: Muawiya raised him (i.e., Abu Tha'labah) one time and did not raise him another time, saying, 'Verily, Allah does not make this nation incapable for even half a day. And when you see the banquet of a man and his family in Sham (Syria), then at that moment Constantinople would be conquered.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that the jinn exist in three categories: a category with wings that fly in the air, a category that are snakes/serpents, and a category that can possess and afflict people.
[Machine] "He (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ) participated in the Battle of Khaybar along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . They experienced hunger, so they slaughtered some donkeys (from the booty) and the Prophet ﷺ was informed about it. He commanded Abdur-Rahman bin Awf to announce to the people that the meat of domestic donkeys is not permissible for those who witnessed that I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So they threw their pots (filled with the meat) and found onions and garlic in their gardens. They ate from them while they were still hungry. When the people went to the mosque, the smell of onions and garlic spread. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever ate from this evil tree should not come near us."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said about the one who catches his prey after three [days], "He can eat it unless it starts to decompose."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah will not be incapable of delaying my Ummah by half a day."

28.5 [Machine] Jubayr bin Nufayr, from Abu Tha'labah
[Machine] He (referring to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ) conquered Khaybar with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the people were hungry, so he found some camels among the human camels (referring to the livestock of the Jews in Khaybar). The people slaughtered them and informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So, he commanded Abdur Rahman to announce to the people that the meat of the human camels is only for those who do not bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah, so they filled their pots with what was in them. They also found onions and garlic in their gardens, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever eats from these trees, do not approach us." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, "Plunder is not permissible, nor is eating from predatory animals, every creature with fangs is forbidden, and neither is mutilation permissible."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ saw a golden ring in his hand, so he started tapping it with a stick that he had with him. When the Prophet ﷺ became distracted, he dropped the ring and said, "All we see is that we have made you suffer and we have caused you to become infatuated."

The Prophet tapped his hand with a stick that was in his hand, then the Prophet became absorbed in something and the man threw his ring. The Prophet looked at him and said, "Where is your ring?" He replied, "I threw it away." The Prophet said, "I think we have caused you pain and distracted you."

[Machine] He informed him that he asked the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and he said: "We live next to the People of the Book, and they cook pork in their pots and drink alcohol in their vessels." The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "If you find anything else, eat and drink from it. If you do not find anything else, rinse it with water and then eat and drink from it."
[Machine] I heard Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani say, "I asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, inform me regarding what is permissible for me and what is forbidden upon me.' He looked at me directly and said, 'Piety is that which satisfies the soul and comforts the heart, and sin is that which does not satisfy the soul and does not bring peace to the heart.'"

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to camp in a place, the people would scatter away from him in the valleys and the mountains. So, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and said, "This is the work of Satan." After that, when they camped in a place, some of them would join others until you would say, if a cloth were to be spread over them, it would cover them all or something similar to that.

[Machine] I went to Abu Tha'labah Al-Khushani and said, "O Abu Tha'labah, how do you interpret this verse?" He asked, "Which verse are you referring to?" I replied, "His saying, 'O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided'." He said, "By Allah, you have asked about something knowledgeable. I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it and he said, 'Rather, enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And when you see greed being obeyed, desires being followed, worldly gains being preferred, and everyone is pleased with their own opinion, then you should focus on yourself in particular and ignore the common people's affairs. For behind you, there will come days of patience, where the patient one will be like the one holding onto burning coals. In that time, the reward of fifty men will be obtained by the worker.'" And without a doubt, 'Utbah ibn Abu Hakim increased me (i.e., added another narration). It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, will the reward of fifty men be for us or for them?" He replied, "No, rather the reward of fifty men will be for you."

[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I shoot with my bow, and sometimes I recover its prey and sometimes I do not. What is permissible for me from what I recover and what is forbidden for me? I am in the land of the People of the Book, and they eat pork in their vessels and drink wine in them. Can I eat and drink in them?" The Messenger of Allah raised his gaze at me and stared at me, then he said, "Nuwaybah." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is Nuwaybah better or Nuwaybah worse?" He said, "Nuwaybah is better." Then he said, "If your arrow returns to you mentioning the name of Allah, then eat from it. And if you find something else to eat from the vessels of the disbelievers, then do not eat from them. But if you do not find anything else, then wash it intensely with water and then eat from it."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to fast both Sha'ban and Ramadan all together.
[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ would return from a journey, he would start with the mosque and pray two rak'ahs in it, then he would go to Fatimah and greet her. Then he would go to his wives. If he returned from a journey, he would pray two rak'ahs in the mosque, then go to Fatimah and she would receive him at the door of the house with her mouth and eyes covered, and she would be crying. He would ask her, "What makes you cry?" She replied, "I see you dirty and covered in dust, and your clothes are worn out." He said to her, "Do not cry, for Allah has sent your father with a matter that will leave no house, town, stone, or tree on the face of the earth, except that Allah will enter it with honor or humiliation until night falls."
