[Machine] A man freed six slaves he had upon his death, and he had no other wealth besides them. So the Messenger of Allah heard about them, struck his hand to his thigh between them, freed two and returned four to slavery.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةً مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرَهُمْ «فَأَقْرَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَرَدَّ أَرْبَعَةً فِي الرِّقِّ»
'Imran b. Husain reported that a person who had no other property emancipated six slaves of his at the time of his death. Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for them and divided them into three sections, cast lots amongst them, and set two free and kept four in slavery; and he (the Holy Prophet) spoke severely of him.
أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَدَعَا بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ أَثْلاَثًا ثُمَّ أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً وَقَالَ لَهُ قَوْلاً شَدِيدًا
A man who had no other property emancipated six slaves of his at the time of the death. When the Prophet ﷺ was informed about it, he spoke severely of him. He then called them, divided them into three sections, cast lots among them, and emancipated two and kept four in slavery.
أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ أَعْبُدٍ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ قَوْلاً شَدِيدًا ثُمَّ دَعَاهُمْ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ أَعْبُدٍ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً
a man had six slaves, and he did not have any other wealth apart from them, and he set them free when he died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided them into groups, set two free and left four as slaves.
أَنَّ رَجُلاً كَانَ لَهُ سِتَّةُ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَهُمْ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً
[Machine] A man freed six of his slaves before his death. The Prophet ﷺ drew lots between them, and two of them were freed.

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , Ayyub, Hisham, and Habib, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Imran ibn Husayn, from the Prophet ﷺ , and from Humaid, Yunus, Qatadah, and Simak ibn Harb, from Al-Hasan, from Imran ibn Husayn, from the Prophet ﷺ , that a man emancipated six of his slaves when he was on his deathbed, where he had no wealth besides them. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ hit between them and freed four of them as slaves and emancipated two.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَيُّوبَ وهِشَامٍ وَحَبِيبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَحُمَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ وَقَتَادَةَ وسِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرَهُمْ فَأَقْرَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ فَرَدَّ أَرْبَعَةً فِي الرِّقِّ وَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ

So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called him and reprimanded him. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ summoned the slaves and distributed them among themselves; he freed two of them and retained four in slavery.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ رُءُوسًا سِتَّةً عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَغْلَظَ لَهُ فَدَعَا بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَرَدَّ أَرْبَعَةً فِي الرِّقِّ

[Machine] A man freed six slaves upon his death because he did not have any other wealth except for them. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ struck a blow between them and freed two of them and reduced the punishment of the other four.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ «فَأَقْرَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً»
[Machine] A man had freed two slaves when he was about to die, and he had no other property except them. So, this matter was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he distributed them equally between them, and returned the rest to slavery.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ مَمْلُوكِينَ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ مِنْهُمُ اثْنَيْنِ وَرَدَّ بَقِيَّتَهُمْ فِي الرِّقِّ»
[Machine] A man emancipated six of his slaves before his death. So, the Prophet ﷺ drew lots among them and freed two of them.
أَعْتَقَ رَجُلٌ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ «فَأَقْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ مِنْهُمْ»

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةً مِنَ الرَّقِيقِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَأَقْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

[Machine] A man freed six slaves on his deathbed, despite not having any other possessions except for them, according to the agreement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . The Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided them into portions and freed two, while he assigned the remaining four to another owner.
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ أَعْبُدٍ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَجْزَاءً فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

"عَنْ عمْرَانَ قَالَ: تُوفِّى رَجُلٌ وَأعَتَقَ سِتَّة مَمْلُوكِيْنَ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرهُم، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: لَوْ أَدْرَكْتُهُ مَا دُفِنَ مَعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فأَقْرعَ بَيْنَهُم، فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْن وَاسْتَرقَّ أَرْبَعَةً".
"عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ: أَعْتَقَتِ أمْرأَةٌ [أَوْ رَجُلٌ] سِتَّةَ أَعْبُدٍ لَهَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ، فَأُتِى في ذَلِكَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ فَأَقْرعَ بَيْنَهُمْ، فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً".
