When you follow a bier, do not sit until it is placed on the (ground).
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اتَّبَعْتُمْ جَنَازَةً فَلاَ تَجْلِسُوا حَتَّى تُوضَعَ
When you follow a bier, do not sit until it is placed on the (ground).
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اتَّبَعْتُمْ جَنَازَةً فَلاَ تَجْلِسُوا حَتَّى تُوضَعَ
Whenever you come across a bier you should stand up, and he who follows it should not sit down till it is placed on the ground.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْجَنَازَةَ فَقُومُوا فَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا فَلاَ يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: When you follow a funeral, do not sit until the bier is placed (on the ground). Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been narrated by al-Thawri (i.e. Sufyan) from Suhail, from his father on the authority of Abu Hurairah. This version has: until it (the bier) is placed on the ground. It has also been narrated by Abu Mu'wiyah from Suhail. This has: Until it is placed in the grave. Abu Dawud said: Sufyan's version is more guarded than that of Abu Mu'awiyah.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا تَبِعْتُمُ الْجَنَازَةَ فَلاَ تَجْلِسُوا حَتَّى تُوضَعَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever follows a funeral procession should not sit down until the deceased is laid to rest."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً فَلَا يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to not sit down until the funeral was placed.
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً لَمْ يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ
