Yahya related to me from Yahya ibn Said that Umar ibn al-Khattab asked a man what his name was. He said, "Jamra (live coal)." "The son of who?" He said, "Ibn Shihab (meteor, flame)." "From whom?" He said, "From al-Huraqa (burning)." "Where do you live?" He said, "At Harrat an-Nar (lava field of the fire). "At which one of them?" He said, "At Dhati Ladha (one with flames)." Umar said, "Go and look at your family - they have been burned." Yahya added, "It was as Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said."

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مَا اسْمُكَ فَقَالَ جَمْرَةُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ مَنْ فَقَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ مِمَّنْ قَالَ مِنَ الْحُرَقَةِ قَالَ أَيْنَ مَسْكَنُكَ قَالَ بِحَرَّةِ النَّارِ قَالَ بِأَيِّهَا قَالَ بِذَاتِ لَظًى قَالَ عُمَرُ أَدْرِكْ أَهْلَكَ فَقَدِ احْتَرَقُوا قَالَ فَكَانَ كَمَا قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رضى الله عنه

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

[Machine] "From Abdullah Ibn Amr, similar to him..."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو نَحْوَهُ

[Machine] From Ubaidullah ibn Umar, approximately.

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ نَحْوَهُ

Ibn ʿUmar used to send his Hadi from Jam' (to Mina) in the last third of the night with the pilgrims amongst whom there were free men and slaves, till it was taken into the Manhar (slaughtering place) of the Prophet ﷺ . (Using translation from Bukhārī 1711)

عن ابن عمر ؓ

[Machine] From Jabir ibn Abdullah.

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ

[Machine] Ibn Umar said, "Abdullah bin 'Adi passed away during the caliphate of Umar bin Khattab."

ابْنُ عُمَرَ «تُوُفِّيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ »

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there were to be a prophet after me, it would be Umar ibn al-Khattab."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَو كَانَ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ كَانَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ»

[Machine] Yes, among them is Abdullah bin Mas'ood.

نَعَمْ وَمِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ

[Machine] Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al-Aas wanted to...

أَرَادَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ

[Machine] From Umar ibn al-Khattab and Abdullah ibn Umar about the adulterer and its likes.

عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ وَعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فِي الْمَذْيِ نَحْوَهُ

[Machine] "Umar ibn al-Khattab said..."

عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ

[Machine] "From Abdullah bin Mas'ood."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ

[Machine] "From Jabir ibn Abdullah."

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ

[Machine] About Amir al-Mu'minin Umar ibn al-Khattab.

عَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ and the narration of the servant about Umar ibn al-Khattab.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَحَدِيثُ الْعَبْدِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ

[Machine] From Abdullah bin Amr, from his saying.

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو مِنْ قَوْلِهِ

[Machine] "About Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو إِلَّا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ وَحْدُهُ

عن عبيد بن عمير

عَن بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبد اللَّهِ بن الأشج ح

[Machine] He has a son named Amir, he is your master, the son of Umar.

لَهُ ابْنُ عَامِرٍ هَذَا سَيِّدُكَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ

"عنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَكيم أَنَّ عُمَرَ بن الْخَطَّابِ كَانَ لَا يُضَمَّنُ الوَدِيعَةَ".
