[Machine] He ﷺ said, "The best of the Ansar are the Banu Najjar, then the Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal, then the Banu al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj, and the Banu Sa'idah, and in every generation of the Ansar there is goodness." It was said, "So he preferred them over us?" He said, "Yes, he preferred you over many others."  

ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ بَنُو النَّجَّارِ ثُمَّ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ ثُمَّ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ وَبَنُو سَاعِدَةَ وَفِي كُلِّ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ فَقِيلَ فَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا قَالَ فَقِيلَ قَدْ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ  

[Machine] We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the expedition to Tabuk, and he mentioned the hadith during his departure and return. He said, "Until we reached the outskirts of Madinah, and he said, 'This is Tabah and this is 'Uhad,' and it is a mountain that loves us and we love it. Then he said, 'Indeed, the best neighborhoods of the Ansar are the neighborhoods of Banu Najjar, then the neighborhoods of Banu 'Abdul Ashhal, then the neighborhoods of Banu Al-Harith bin Khazraj, and then the neighborhoods of Banu Sa'idah. And in every neighborhood of the Ansar, there is good. Then Sa'd bin 'Ubada caught up with us, and Abu Usaid said, 'Didn't you see that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ chose the neighborhoods of the Ansar and made us the last? So Sa'd caught up with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you chose the neighborhoods of the Ansar and made us the last.' So he said, 'Is it not sufficient for you that you are among the chosen ones?  

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي خُرُوجِهِ وَرُجُوعِهِ قَالَ حَتَّى أَشْرَفْنَا عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ طَابَةُ وَهَذَا أُحُدٌ وَهُوَ جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ خَيْرَ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ دَارُ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ ثُمَّ دَارُ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ ثُمَّ دَارُ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ ثُمَّ دَارُ بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ وَفِي كُلِّ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ فَلَحِقَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ فَقَالَ أَبُو أُسَيْدٍ أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَيَّرَ دُورَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَجَعَلْنَا آخِرَهَا دَارًا؟ فَأَدْرَكَ سَعْدٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ خَيَّرْتَ دُورَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَجَعَلْتَنَا آخِرَهَا فَقَالَ أَوَلَيْسَ بِحَسْبِكُمْ أَنْ تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْخِيَارِ؟  

[Machine] I heard Malik ibn Anas saying, "Whoever insults the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , they do not have any right in the booty. Allah says, 'For the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and their properties, seeking bounty from Allah and [His] approval' (Surah Al-Hashr 59:8). These are the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who migrated with him. Then He says, 'And [also for] those who were settled in the home and [adopted] the faith' (Surah Al-Hashr 59:9). These are the Ansar. Then He says, 'And [also for] those who came after them' (Surah Al-Hashr 59:9). Malik exempted Allah (the Exalted) from this, and He said, 'They say, 'Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith' (Surah Al-Hashr 59:10). The booty is for these three groups, so whoever insults the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he is not from these three groups, and he has no right in the booty."  

سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ يَقُولُ مَنْ سَبَّ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ فِي الْفَيْءِ حَقٌّ يَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ {لِلْفُقَرَاءِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَأَمْوَالِهِمْ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِنَ اللهِ وَرِضْوَانًا} [الحشر 8] الْآيَةَ هَؤُلَاءِ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا مَعَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ {وَالَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُوا الدَّارَ وَالْإِيمَانَ} الْآيَةَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَنْصَارُ ثُمَّ قَالَ {وَالَّذِينَ جَاءُوا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ} قَالَ مَالِكٌ فَاسْتَثْنَى الله ﷻ فَقَالَ {يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ} [الحشر 10] الْآيَةَ فَالْفَيْءُ لِهَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةِ فَمَنْ سَبَّ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَيْسَ هُوَ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةِ وَلَا حَقَّ لَهُ فِي الْفَيْءِ
