He replied, "No." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Do you have a servant girl?" He replied, "No." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Are you capable of getting married?" He replied, "Yes, I am capable." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Then you are among the brothers of the Shaytans. If you were among the Christians, you would be among their monks. Indeed, our way is that marriage is the best for you, while celibacy is the worst. Your young men who are celibate are the lowliest of your dead. Are you fornicating with the devil? There is no weapon that the devil possesses that is more effective against the righteous than women. Except for those who are married, they are the purified and innocent ones. Woe unto you, O Akkaf! They are the companions of Ayub, Dawud, Yusuf, and Khosrow." Bishr ibn Atiyya asked, "Who is Khosrow, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "He was a man who worshipped Allah on a beach from the beaches of the sea for three hundred years. He used to fast during the day and pray at night. Then he disbelieved in Allah the Almighty because of a woman he loved, and he left his worship of Allah. Then Allah caught up with him by revealing to him some of what he used to do, so he repented. Woe unto you, O Akkaf! Get married, otherwise you will be among the unstable." Akkaf said, "O Messenger of Allah, marry me."
[Machine] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: 'There will be a group of people who will have a covenant. Whoever kills one of them will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance can be detected from a distance of seventy years.'"
[Machine] "He passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting at the gate of his mosque, with a cloak around him that had a patch, and he was saying: 'A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, who neither wrongs him nor abandons him.' Then he pointed to his chest and said: 'Piety is here, piety is here.'"
[Machine] His mother said to him, "Why don't you go and ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, just as people ask him?" So I went and asked him, and I found him standing and giving a speech, saying, "Whoever seeks forgiveness, Allah will forgive him, and whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient, and whoever asks people while he has enough for himself, he has sought a means of begging." So I said to myself, "We have a camel that is better than five dinars for him, and his servant has another camel that is better than five dinars." So I returned without asking him.
[Machine] I prayed behind Ali ibn Abi Talib a prayer that reminded me of a prayer I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the two caliphs. Then I went and prayed with him, and he would say Allahu Akbar every time he prostrated and every time he raised his head from bowing. So I said, "O Abu Nujayd, who was the first to leave it?" He said, "Uthman ibn Affan left it when his voice became weak and feeble."
[Machine] "A man passed by while he was reciting to a group. When he finished, he asked and Amr said, 'We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.' I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever recites the Qur'an, let him ask Allah for it, for soon there will come a group of people who recite the Qur'an and ask people with it.'"
[Machine] He asked the Prophet ﷺ , "What are the rights of my wife upon me?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Feed her when you eat, clothe her when you dress, and do not hit her in the face or abandon her except within the house."
The prophet ﷺ used to stand in the rak’ah of prayer so much so that no sound of steps heard. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 802)
[Machine] I saw the Prophet of Allah ﷺ sleeping until he snored, then he woke up and prayed without performing ablution.
[Machine] "I and a man from the Quraysh used to distribute the wealth of orphans. He said, 'There was a man who owed me 1000 dirhams.' So, I happened to have 1000 dirhams with me, and I said to the man from Quraysh, 'He has owed me 1000 dirhams, and I have received 1000 dirhams for him.' The man from Quraysh said, 'My father told me that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Return the trust to the one who entrusted you, and do not betray the one who betrays you.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to the mosque, which is called Al-Ahzab. He placed his cloak down and stood up, raising his hands in supplication while invoking curse upon them. He did not offer prayer. Then he came and cursed them again and prayed.
[Machine] "If the year is thirty-five and there is a great event, if they perish it's by my will, and if they survive, perhaps. And if the year is seventy, you will see what you deny."
There is (at times) some sort of shade upon my heart, and I seek forgiveness from Allah a hundred times a day. (Using translation from Muslim 2702a)
[Machine] "I wish that both I and those who disagree with me in seriousness would curse each other, so which of us is worse in speech."
[Machine] "He heard Abu Hurairah say, 'I advise you not to fast on Friday, but I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Do not fast on Friday unless you fast one day before it.' And I do not pray in my sandals, but I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in his sandals.'"
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Do not drink the cupped water extract (kar') but let one of you drink using his hands."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah has forgiven a servant who lives until he reaches the age of sixty or seventy. Indeed, Allah has forgiven him."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ had three things that he liked in this world: food, women, and perfume. He managed to have two of them, but not one. He had women and perfume, but not food.
[Machine] Jaabir restrained the Prophet ﷺ from doing so.
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "The prayer from one prayer to the next is an expiation (for the sins committed between them), and Friday prayer to Friday prayer is an expiation, and Ramadan to Ramadan is an expiation, except for sins that are major. He said: So we knew that it is an order except for polytheism with Allah, breaking a deal, and abandoning the Sunnah. He said: We said, O Messenger of Allah, we know what polytheism with Allah is, so what is breaking a deal and abandoning the Sunnah? He said: Breaking a deal is when you sell something to someone and then you fight him with your sword, and abandoning the Sunnah is leaving the congregation."
