[Machine] A man named Akkaf ibn Bishr al-Tamimi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and the Prophet ﷺ asked him, "O Akkaf, do you have a wife?" He replied, "No." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Do you have a servant girl?" He replied, "No." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Are you capable of getting married?" He replied, "Yes, I am capable." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Then you are among the brothers of the Shaytans. If you were among the Christians, you would be among their monks. Indeed, our way is that marriage is the best for you, while celibacy is the worst. Your young men who are celibate are the lowliest of your dead. Are you fornicating with the devil? There is no weapon that the devil possesses that is more effective against the righteous than women. Except for those who are married, they are the purified and innocent ones. Woe unto you, O Akkaf! They are the companions of Ayub, Dawud, Yusuf, and Khosrow." Bishr ibn Atiyya asked, "Who is Khosrow, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "He was a man who worshipped Allah on a beach from the beaches of the sea for three hundred years. He used to fast during the day and pray at night. Then he disbelieved in Allah the Almighty because of a woman he loved, and he left his worship of Allah. Then Allah caught up with him by revealing to him some of what he used to do, so he repented. Woe unto you, O Akkaf! Get married, otherwise you will be among the unstable." Akkaf said, "O Messenger of Allah, marry me." [Machine] A man placed his hand on the Prophet ﷺ and said, "By Allah, I cannot bear to put my hand on you due to the intensity of your warmth." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, we, the community of prophets, have our afflictions multiplied just as our rewards are multiplied. If a prophet is afflicted with lice until he kills them, and if a prophet is afflicted with poverty until he takes a cloak and they come and take it away, they would rejoice in affliction just as you rejoice in ease."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "You will surely follow the ways of the previous nations, inch by inch and arm by arm, to the extent that if one of the people of Israel entered the hole of a lizard, you would also enter it." And he also said once: "You will follow them therein."

[Machine] "He asked Ibn Umar and said, 'I only ask you about two things: about raisins and dates, and about climbing palm trees.' Ibn Umar said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had someone brought to him who was drunk, and he said, 'I only drank raisin and date juice.' So he had him flogged, and he forbade him from having them anymore.' Ibn Umar said, 'A man gave his date-palm trees to another man, and he said to him, 'Your date-palm trees did not bear any fruit this year.' So he wanted to take his money, but the man did not give it to him. So he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, 'Your date-palm trees did not bear any fruit.' He said, 'So why did you keep his money?' So he gave it to him.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade climbing palm trees until their goodness becomes apparent."

ahmad:10576Yazīd > al-ʿAwwām > ʿAbdullāh b. al-Sāʾib > a man from al-Anṣār > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "The prayer from one prayer to the next is an expiation (for the sins committed between them), and Friday prayer to Friday prayer is an expiation, and Ramadan to Ramadan is an expiation, except for sins that are major. He said: So we knew that it is an order except for polytheism with Allah, breaking a deal, and abandoning the Sunnah. He said: We said, O Messenger of Allah, we know what polytheism with Allah is, so what is breaking a deal and abandoning the Sunnah? He said: Breaking a deal is when you sell something to someone and then you fight him with your sword, and abandoning the Sunnah is leaving the congregation."

By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued to stand for such a long time that I had to prolong my sitting position. Then, he left and I got up and went to him, saying, 'O Messenger of Allah, this man stood up for you to the extent that I had to prolong my sitting position for your sake.' He asked me, 'Do you know who that was?' I replied, 'No.' He said, 'That was Jibril (Gabriel), who came to instruct me regarding being kind to neighbors, to the extent that I thought he would command me to make him my heir. If you had greeted him, he would have returned the greeting to you.'"
