[Machine] "A man passed by while he was reciting to a group. When he finished, he asked and Amr said, 'We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.' I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever recites the Qur'an, let him ask Allah for it, for soon there will come a group of people who recite the Qur'an and ask people with it.'"  

أحمد:١٩٨٨٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَأَوْ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ

مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ سَأَلَ فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلْيَسْأَلِ اللهَ بِهِ فَإِنَّهُ سَيَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ بِهِ

[Machine] Imran, indeed we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we shall return. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Read the Quran and ask Allah with it before a people come who will ask the people with it."  

أحمد:١٩٩٩٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ مَرَّ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ بِرَجُلٍ يَقُصُّ فَقَالَ

عِمْرَانُ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ وَسَلُوا اللهَ بِهِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَجِيءَ قَوْمٌ يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ بِهِ

[Machine] "And he said, 'Stop, let us listen to the Quran.' So when he finished, he asked and said, 'Imran, come with me, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Recite the Quran and ask Allah through it, for indeed there will be people after you who will recite the Quran and ask people through it.'"  

أحمد:١٩٩١٧ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَحَدُنَا آخِذٌ بِيَدِ صَاحِبِهِ فَمَرَرْنَا بِسَائِلٍ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فَاحْتَبَسَنِي عِمْرَانُ

وَقَالَ قِفْ نَسْتَمِعِ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ سَأَلَ فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ وَاسْأَلُوا اللهَ بِهِ؛ فَإِنَّ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ قَوْمًا يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ بِهِ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلْيَسْأَلِ اللهَ بِهِ فَإِنَّ بَعْدَكُمْ قَوْمًا يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ بِهِ»

[Machine] He passed by a storyteller and when he finished, he asked him. He said: "Verily, to Allah we belong and to Him is our return." I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Recite the Quran and ask Allah through it before there comes a people who recite the Quran and ask the people through it."  

الطبراني:١٥٥٢٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حَثْمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَى قَاصٍّ يَقُصُّ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ سَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ وَاسْأَلُوا اللهَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ يَسْأَلُونَ بِهِ النَّاسَ»
