عُرْوَةُ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ

[Machine] The messenger of Allah, ﷺ , entered upon me, so I said, "Do you have any interest in my sister, the daughter of Abu Sufyan?" He said, "What will you do?" I said, "Marry her." He said, "Your sister?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Do you wish for that?" I said, "Yes, I am not opposed to it, and I love her." He said, "Does she feel the same?" I said, "By Allah, I have been informed that you are proposing to marry Durrah, the daughter of Abu Salama." He said, "The daughter of Abu Salama?" I said, "Yes." He said, "By Allah, if she was not my stepdaughter, she would not be lawful for me. She is my brother's daughter through breastfeeding. Thuwaybah breastfed both her and me. So, do not propose your daughters or sisters to me."  

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ هَلْ لَكَ فِي أُخْتِي بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ؟ قَالَ «أَفْعَلُ مَاذَا؟» قُلْتُ تَنْكِحُهَا قَالَ «أُخْتَكِ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «أَوَ تُحِبِّينَ ذَلِكَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ لَسْتُ لَكَ بِمُخْلِيَةٍ وَأَحَبُّ أَوْ قَالَتْ وَأَحَقُّ مَنْ شَرِكَنِي فِي خَيْرٍ أُخْتِي قَالَ «فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِي» قَالَتْ فَوَاللهِ لَقَدْ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّكَ تَخْطُبُ دُرَّةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ «بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَوَاللهِ لَوْ لَمْ تَكُنْ رَبِيبَتِي فِي حِجْرِي مَا حَلَّتْ لِي إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ أَرْضَعَتْنِي وَإِيَّاهَا ثُوَيْبَةُ فَلَا تَعْرِضْنَ عَلَيَّ بَنَاتِكُنَّ وَلَا أَخَوَاتِكُنَّ»  

[Machine] Um Habiba, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , said, "O Messenger of Allah, marry my sister, the daughter of Abu Sufyan." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her, "Do you like that?" She replied, "I have no objection, and no one is better than you to marry my sister." He said, "It is not permissible for me." She said, "By Allah, we have heard that you intend to marry Durrat, the daughter of Um Salama." He asked, "The daughter of Um Salama?" She replied, "Yes." He said, "By Allah, if she was not my foster sister, it would have been permissible for me. She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding, and she breastfed me and Thawiba. So, do not offer your daughters or sisters to me."  

أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ انْكِحْ أُخْتِي بِنْتَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَوَ تُحِبِّينَ ذَلِكَ؟» قَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْلِيَةٍ وَخَيْرُ مَنْ شَرِكَنِي فِي خَيْرٍ أُخْتِي قَالَ «إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِي» قَالَتْ فَوَاللهِ إِنَّا لَنُحَدَّثُ أَنَّكَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَنْكِحَ دُرَّةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ «بِنْتَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ؟» قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَوَاللهِ لَوْ لَمْ تَكُنْ رَبِيبَتِي مَا حَلَّتْ لِي إِنَّهَا لَابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ لَقَدْ أَرْضَعَتْنِي وَإِيَّاهَا ثُوَيْبَةُ فَلَا تَعْرِضْنَ عَلَيَّ بَنَاتِكُنَّ وَلَا أَخَوَاتِكُنَّ»  

[Machine] She said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you have any interest in marrying Hamnah bint Abi Sufyan?" He asked, "What shall I do?" She replied, "Marry her." He then asked, "Does she qualify for me?" She said, "By Allah, I was informed that you are proposing to Zainab bint Abi Salama." He said, "My foster-sister is in my house and by Allah, if she was not my foster-sister, she would be my niece as she breastfed me and Thawiba as well. Therefore, do not present your daughters, sisters, or mothers to me."  

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ لَكَ فِي حَمْنَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ «أَصْنَعُ مَاذَا؟» قَالَتْ تَنْكِحُهَا قَالَ «فَهَلْ تَحِلُّ لِي؟» قَالَتْ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّكَ تَخْطُبُ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ «أَرَبِيبَتِي فِي حِجْرِي فَوَاللهِ لَوْ لَمْ تَكُنْ رَبِيبَتِي فِي حِجْرِي إِنَّهَا لَابْنَةُ أَخِي أَرْضَعَتْنِي وَإِيَّاهَا ثُوَيْبَةُ فَلَا تَعْرِضْنَ عَلَيَّ بَنَاتِكُنَّ وَلَا أَخَوَاتِكُنَّ وَلَا أُمَّهَاتِكُنَّ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , entered upon me, so I said, "Do you have any interest in my sister, the daughter of Abu Sufyan?" The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "What would you do?" I said, "I want to marry her." He asked, "Your sister?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Do you really want that?" I said, "Yes, I am not compelled, and I love whoever you choose for me, even if it is my sister." He said, "She is not permissible for me." I said, "By Allah, I have been informed that you are proposing to marry the daughter of Abu Salama." He asked, "The daughter of Abu Salama?" I said, "Yes." He said, "By Allah, if she was not my stepdaughter, she would not have been lawful for me. She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding, and Thawiba breastfed both me and her. Therefore, do not present your daughters and sisters to me."  

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ هَلْ لَكَ فِي أُخْتِي بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فَأَفْعَلُ مَاذَا؟» قُلْتُ فَتَنْكِحُهَا قَالَ «أُخْتَكِ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «أَوَ تُحِبِّينَ ذَلِكَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ لَسْتُ بِمُخْلِيَةٍ وَأَحَبُّ مَنْ شَرِكَنِي فِي خَيْرٍ أُخْتِي قَالَ «إِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِي» قُلْتُ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ أُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّكَ تَخْطُبُ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ «بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «وَاللهِ لَوْ لَمْ تَكُنْ رَبِيبَتِي فِي حِجْرِي مَا حَلَّتْ لِي إِنَّهَا بِنْتُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ أَرْضَعَتْنِي وَإِيَّاهَا ثُوَيْبَةُ فَلَا تَعْرِضْنَ عَلَيَّ بَنَاتِكُنَّ وَأَخَوَاتِكُنَّ»  

Um Habiba said to Messenger of Allah ﷺ "We have heard that you want to marry Durra bint Abu-Salama." Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Can she be married along with Um Salama (her mother)? Even if I have not married Um Salama, she would not be lawful for me to marry, for her father is my foster brother." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5123)  

لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّا قَدْ تَحَدَّثْنَا أَنَّكَ نَاكِحٌ دُرَّةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ «أَعَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ؟ لَوْ لَمْ أَنْكِحْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ مَا حَلَّتْ لِي إِنَّ أَبَاهَا أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ»  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, and Bakr bin Sahl al-Dimyati narrated to us, and Abdullah bin Yusuf narrated to us, all of them from Malik bin Anas, from Abdullah bin Abi Bakr, from Humaid bin Nafi, that Zainab bint Abi Salama informed him that she entered upon Umm Habiba bint Abi Sufyan, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , when her father, Abu Sufyan, passed away. Umm Habiba offered her some perfume, which had a pleasant scent. She anointed one of her servant girls with it, and then touched her own wrists with it. Then she said, "By Allah, I have no need for this perfume except that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to observe mourning for a deceased person for more than three nights, except for the mourning of a husband which lasts for four months and ten days.'"  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ أَبُوهَا أَبُو سُفْيَانَ فَدَعَتْ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِطِيبٍ فِيهِ صُفْرَةٌ خَلُوقٌ أَوْ غَيْرُهُ فَدَهَنَتْ مِنْهُ جَارِيَةً ثُمَّ مَسَّتْ بِعَارِضَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَتْ أَمَا وَاللهِ مَا لِي بِالطِّيبِ مِنْ حَاجَةٍ غَيْرَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ تُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»  

[Machine] "When the news of her father's death arrived, she called for perfume and wiped her arms with it. She said, "By Allah, I have no need for perfume except that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased person for more than three days, except for her husband, for whom she may mourn for four months and ten days.'"  

أَنَّهُ لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ أَبِيهَا دَعَتْ بِطِيبٍ فَمَسَحَتْ بِهِ ذِرَاعَيْهَا وَقَالَتْ وَاللهِ مَا لِي بِالطِّيبِ مِنْ حَاجَةٍ لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ تُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»  

I want to Zainab bint Jahsh when her brother died. She asked for perfume and used some of it and said, "By Allah, I am not in need of perfume, but I have heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying on the pulpit, 'It is not lawful for a lady who believes in Allah and the last day to mourn for more than three days except for her husband for whom she should mourn for four months and ten days.'" سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»  

It is not permissible for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafter to observe mourning on the dead for more than three (days), except in case of her husband. (Using translation from Muslim 1491)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying: "It is not permissible for a believing woman in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a dead person for more than three days, except for her husband."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ»  

[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, my daughter's husband has passed away and I fear for her eyesight. Should I apply kohl to her eyes?" He (the Prophet) said, "One of you used to apply kohl to her eyes upon the completion of four months and ten days."  

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا وَقَدْ خَشِيتُ عَلَى بَصَرِهَا أَفَأَكْحُلُهَا؟ قَالَ «كَانَتْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ تَرْمِي بِالْبَعْرَةِ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْحَوْلِ وَإِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»  

[Machine] "That a woman asked Umm Salamah and Umm Habibah whether a woman should wear makeup during her waiting period after the death of her husband. They said that a woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about that. He said, 'During the pre-Islamic era, if one of you becomes widowed, she would stay for a year, then throw away the veil. However, the waiting period is only four months and ten days until the prescribed time is completed.'"  

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ وَأُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ أَتَكْتَحِلُ الْمَرْأَةُ فِي عِدَّتِهَا مِنْ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا؟ فَقَالَتْ أَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَتْهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «كَانَتْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا أَقَامَتْ سَنَةً ثُمَّ تَقْذِفُ بِبَعْرَةٍ فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا حَتَّى يَمْضِيَ الْأَجَلُ»  

[Machine] It is narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to say, "When he heard the muadh-dhin (the caller to prayer), he would repeat what the muadh-dhin said until he was silent."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَسْكُتَ»  

[Machine] His aunt, Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan, said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, 'When I am with her and I hear the caller, I would speak as he speaks until he finishes speaking.'"  

عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدِي فَسَمِعَ الْمُنَادِيَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ حَتَّى يَسْكُتَ»  

[Machine] Um Habibah bint Abi Sufyan narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs in one day, Allah will build a house for them in Paradise." Um Habibah said, "I have not left them since I heard them from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." 'Amr ('Amr ibn 'Awn) said, "I have not left them since I heard them from Anbasah."  

حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ» قَالَتْ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ مَا تَرَكْتُهُنَّ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ عَمْرٌو مَا تَرَكْتُهُنَّ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهُنَّ مِنْ عَنْبَسَةَ «وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْنٍ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever prays twelve units of prayer in a day, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] From Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ and his sister, it was reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve units of prayer, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise: four units before Dhuhr, two units after Dhuhr, two units before Asr, two units after Maghrib, and two units before Fajr."  

عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهِيَ أُخْتُهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ ثِنْتَا عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مَنْ صَلَّاهُنَّ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Twelve rak'ahs, whoever prays them Allah will build for him a house in Paradise: four rak'ahs before Zuhr and two rak'ahs after Zuhr, two rak'ahs before Asr, two rak'ahs after Maghrib and two rak'ahs before Subh prayer." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1801)  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فِي يَوْمٍ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ  

[Machine] "I am telling you a hadith that Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan told me, she told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs along with the Dhuhr prayer, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise.'"  

إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا حَدَّثَتْنِيهِ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مَعَ صَلَاةِ النَّهَارِ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

"Whoever prays twelve Rak'ah in a day and night, a house will be built from him in Paradise: Four Rak'ah before Zuhr, two Rak'ah after it, two Rak'ah after Maghrib, two Rak'ah after Isha, and two Rak'ah before Fajr in the morning Salat." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 415)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَرْبَعًا قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَهَا وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve additional units of prayer, other than the obligatory prayers, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً سِوَى الْمَكْتُوبَةِ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve rak'ahs (units of prayer) in a day, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise. And whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve units of prayer in a day, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise: four units before Dhuhr prayer, two units after Dhuhr prayer, two units before Asr prayer, two units after Maghrib prayer, and two units after Isha prayer."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve voluntary units of prayer in their night and day, other than the obligatory prayers, Allah will build a house for them in Paradise."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَلَّى اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فِي لَيْلَهِ وَنَهَارَهِ غَيْرَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever prays twelve voluntary units of prayer, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً غَيْرَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever preserves four units (raka'at) before the Maghrib prayer and four after it, will be forbidden from entering Hellfire."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَى أَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْهَجِيرِ وَأَرْبَعٍ بَعْدَهَا حُرِّمَ عَلَى جَهَنَّمَ»  

[Machine] "Narrated by the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , that he said: 'Whoever observes four units of prayer before Zhuhr and four after it, Allah will make him forbidden from the Hellfire.'"  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَى أَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَرْبَعٍ بَعْدَهَا حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "Whoever observes four units of prayer before the Zuhr prayer and four units after it, Hellfire will be prohibited for him."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ حَافَظَ عَلَى أَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْهَجِيرِ وَأَرْبَعٍ بَعْدَهَا حُرِّمَ عَلَى جَهَنَّمَ»  

[Machine] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever prays four units before Dhuhr, Allah will forbid the Fire for him."  

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ النَّارَ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Whoever prays four units (rak'ahs) before Zhuhr prayer and four units (rak'ahs) after it, Allah has made Paradise forbidden for him."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَرْبَعًا بَعْدَهَا حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Whoever prays four units before Dhuhr prayer, Allah will make his body forbidden to the fire."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ حَرَّمَ اللهُ جَسَدَهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever touches his sexual organ, let him perform ablution.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 482)  

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ فَرْجَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»  

[Machine] As for my sister, Umm Habiba, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ told me that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve voluntary units of prayer during the day and night, excluding the obligatory prayers, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise." I have not abandoned them since I heard this.  

أَمَا إِنَّ أُخْتِي أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَدَّثَتْنِي أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً سِوَى الْفَرِيضَةِ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَمَا تَرَكْتُهُنَّ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهُنَّ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays twelve units of prayer in a day and night, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever touches his private parts should perform ablution.'"  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»  

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Whoever touches his private part, let him perform ablution."  

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Whoever performs four units of prayer before the noon prayer and four units of prayer after it, Allah will forbid him from the Hellfire."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ رَكَعَ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ بَعْدَهَا حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever prays four units of prayer before Dhuhr prayer and four units after it, Allah will forbid him from the Hellfire."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَرْبَعًا بَعْدَهَا حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

“Whoever performs twelve Rak’ah (of Sunnah) during the day and night, a house will be built for him in Paradise.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1141)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بُنِيَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever prays four units before Dhuhr and four units after, Allah will make him forbidden from the Fire."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَرْبَعًا بَعْدَهَا حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet said, "Whoever performs four (units of prayer) before Dhuhr and four (units of prayer) after it, Allah will forbid him from the Fire."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى أَرْبَعًا قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَرْبَعًا بَعْدَهُ حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

[Machine] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever prays four units before noon prayer and four after it, Allah will forbid him from the Hellfire."  

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَرْبَعًا بَعْدَهَا حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّارِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever prays twelve units of prayer in his night and day, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فِي لَيْلَهِ وَنَهَارِهِ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever offers twelve Rak'ahs of prayer in a day, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى فِي يَوْمٍ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] He entered upon Umm Habiba and she offered him a drink, then he got up to pray. She said to him, "O my cousin, perform ablution, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Perform ablution from the place in which fire has touched.'"  

أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ فَسَقَتْهُ سَوِيقًا ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي فَقَالَتْ لَهُ تَوَضَّأْ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْهُ النَّارُ»  

'Perform Wudu' from that which has been touched by fire.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 175)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»  

'Perform Wudu' from that which has been touched by fire.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 175)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»  

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say this: Ablution is obligatory (for one who takes anything) touched by fire. (Using translation from Muslim 351)  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْوُضُوءُ مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»  

[Machine] He informed him that he entered upon his aunt, Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, and she offered him a drink. She then said, "O my son, perform ablution, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Ablution extinguishes what has been touched by fire.'"  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى خَالَتِهِ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَخَاضَتْ لَهُ سَوِيقًا فَشَرِبَهُ فَقَالَتْ يَا بُنَيَّ تَوَضَّأْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْوُضُوءُ مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»  

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Perform ablution after (eating) that which has been changed by fire.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 486)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ»
