Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should try to pray at sunrise or sunset."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

Let not any one of you intend to observe prayer at the time of the rising of the sun or of the setting sun.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

Do not intend to observe prayer at the time of the rising of the sun nor at its setting, for it rises between the horns of Satan.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بِقَرْنَىْ شَيْطَانٍ

"'Aishah, may Allah be please with her, said: 'Umar, may Allah be please with him, is not correct, rather the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only prohibited, as he said: 'Do no deliberately seek to pray when the sun is rising or when it is setting, for it rises between the horns of a Shaitan."

عَائِشَةُ ؓ أَوْهَمَ عُمَرُ ؓ إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَىْ شَيْطَانٍ

[AI] None of you should anticipate the rising or setting of the sun, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid that.

لَا يَتَحَيَّنَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ

[AI] The translation of the given text in English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, 'None of you should avoid praying at the rising or setting of the sun, as it rises between the horns of the devil.'"

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَتَحَرَّىأَحَدُكُمُ الصَّلَاةَ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Do not pray when the sun is rising nor when the sun is setting, for it rises between the horns of Satan and sets between the horns of Satan."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُصَلُّوا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا حِينَ تَسْقُطُ فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ وَتَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ: "Do not perform salah (prayer) when the sun is rising, as it rises between the two horns of Satan, nor when it sets, as it sets between the two horns of Satan."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَا تُصَلُّوا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَلَا حِينَ تَغِيبُ فَإِنَّهَا تَغِيبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Do not pray when the sun is rising, for it rises between the horns of Satan and every disbeliever prostrates to it. And do not pray when it is setting, for it sets between the horns of Satan and every disbeliever prostrates to it. And do not pray at midday, for it is at the moment of Hellfire's scorching heat."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُصَلُّوا عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ؛ فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَيَسْجُدُ لَهَا كُلُّ كَافِرٍ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا؛ فَإِنَّهَا تَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَيَسْجُدُ لَهَا كُلُّ كَافِرٍ وَلَا نِصْفَ النَّهَارِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ عِنْدَ سَجْرِ جَهَنَّمَ

[AI] Concerning prayer, it is not to be performed except at the rising of the sun, for it rises between the two horns of the devil.

عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ

Do not get used to observe prayer at the time of the rising sun and at the time of its setting and (exhorted the Muslims) to pray at their times. (Using translation from Muslim 833b)

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لَمْ يَدَعْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِقَالَتْ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَا تَتَحَرَّوْا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَتُصَلُّوا عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You should not intend to pray either at sunrise or sunset."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَحَرَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

"No one of you should deliberately try to pray when the sun is rising, or when it is setting." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 563)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not pray at the time of the sunrise or sunset, as it sets between the horns of Satan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ»

عَنْ سَمُرة ؓ أُمِّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَال لاَ تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ ولاَ غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ فِي قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَتَغْرُبُ فِي قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَحَادِيثُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهَا عَنِ الْحَسَنِ غيره

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not hurry in performing your prayers at the time of sunrise or sunset, for the sun rises between the two horns of Satan and sets between the two horns of Satan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَتَغْرُبُ فِي قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not pray when the sun is rising or when it is setting, as it rises between the two horns of Satan, and it sets between the two horns of Satan."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُصَلُّوا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا حِينَ تَسْقُطُ فَإِنَّهَا تَسْقُطُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَتَغِيبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ»

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بِقَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ

"لا تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلا غُرُوبَهَا؛ فَإنَّها تَطلُعُ بَينَ قَرْنَىْ شَيطَانٍ، فَإذا طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَلا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَبْرُزَ، وَإذَا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَلا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَغِيبَ".

"لا تَحَرَّوا بِصَلاتكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلا غُروبَهَا فَتُصَلُّوا عِنْدَ ذَلكَ".

"لا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلا غُروبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطلُعُ بَينَ قَرْنَىْ شَيطَانٍ".

"لَا تُصَلُّوا عندَ طُلوعِ الشَّمسِ ولا عندَ غروبها فَإِنها تطلُعُ وتغربُ على قَرنِ شيطان، وصلوا بَينَ ذلك ما شئتم".

"لَا تُصَلُّوا عِنْدَ طُلُوع الشَّمسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلعُ بَين قَرْنَى الشَّيطَانِ، وَتَغْرُبُ بَينَ قَرْنَى الشَّيطَانِ".

"عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ: لا تَتَحرَّوْا بِصَلاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلا غُرُوبها، فَإنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنَاهُ مَعَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ ويَغْرُبَانِ مَعَ غُروبِهَا، وكَانَ يَضْرِبُ النَّاسَ عَلَى تِلْكَ الصَّلَاةِ".

" عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: لاَ تَحَرَّوْا طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا؛ فَإِنَّ
