I heard the Prophet ﷺ forbidding the offering of prayers at the time of sunrise and sunset.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

Let not any one of you intend to observe prayer at the time of the rising of the sun or of the setting sun.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

Do not intend to observe prayer at the time of the rising of the sun nor at its setting, for it rises between the horns of Satan.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بِقَرْنَىْ شَيْطَانٍ

"No one of you should deliberately try to pray when the sun is rising, or when it is setting."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَحَرَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

"'Aishah, may Allah be please with her, said: 'Umar, may Allah be please with him, is not correct, rather the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only prohibited, as he said: 'Do no deliberately seek to pray when the sun is rising or when it is setting, for it rises between the horns of a Shaitan."

عَائِشَةُ ؓ أَوْهَمَ عُمَرُ ؓ إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَىْ شَيْطَانٍ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْطُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ

[AI] None of you should anticipate the rising or setting of the sun, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid that.

لَا يَتَحَيَّنَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should try to pray at sunrise or sunset." (Using translation from Bukhārī 585)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَتَحَرَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should intentionally pray before sunrise or after sunset." I asked Maalik about Abdullah. He said, "Yes."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَتَحَرَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّيَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا قُلْتُ لِمَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ؟ قَالَنَعَمْ

[AI] The translation of the given text in English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, 'None of you should avoid praying at the rising or setting of the sun, as it rises between the horns of the devil.'"

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَتَحَرَّىأَحَدُكُمُ الصَّلَاةَ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Do not pray when the sun is rising nor when the sun is setting, for it rises between the horns of Satan and sets between the horns of Satan."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُصَلُّوا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا حِينَ تَسْقُطُ فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ وَتَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ

[AI] She said, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade praying at the time of sunrise and sunset."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ أَنْ يُتَحَرَّى بِهَا طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ وَغُرُوبُهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You should not intend to pray either at sunrise or sunset."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَحَرَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

"No one of you should deliberately try to pray when the sun is rising, or when it is setting." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 563)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»

[AI] Narrated Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should offer prayer at the time of the rising or setting of the sun."

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَتَحَرَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not pray at the time of the sunrise or sunset, as it sets between the horns of Satan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'He will never enter the Fire, the one who prays before the sun rises and before it sets.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 471)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not hurry in performing your prayers at the time of sunrise or sunset, for the sun rises between the two horns of Satan and sets between the two horns of Satan."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَتَغْرُبُ فِي قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ»

[AI] "About prayer at sunrise and at sunset"

عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَلَاةٍ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ وَتَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ»

[AI] "That which is missed of the Asr prayer is as if one has lost his wealth and children."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ كَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ

[AI] A person asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about praying in a single garment, so he asked, "Do you each have two garments?"

أَنَّ سَائِلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ؟

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should perform prayer at sunrise or sunset."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Do not perform your prayers at sunrise or sunset, for indeed, it rises and sets between the two horns of the Satan, as narrated in the authentic Hadith from Hisham ibn Urwah.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بِقَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you enters the mosque, let him pray two voluntary units (rak'ahs) before sitting down."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The shade of the wealthy is oppression, and if any one of you is followed in matters of leadership, then let him be followed..."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ وَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى مَلِيٍّ فَلْيَتْبَعْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him attend it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا

"لا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلا غُرُوبَهَا، فَإِنَّهَا تَطلُعُ بِقَرْنَىْ شَيطَانٍ".

"لا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلا غُروبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطلُعُ بَينَ قَرْنَىْ شَيطَانٍ".

"لَا تُصَلُّوا عِنْدَ طُلُوع الشَّمسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلعُ بَين قَرْنَى الشَّيطَانِ، وَتَغْرُبُ بَينَ قَرْنَى الشَّيطَانِ".

"لا يَتحرى أحدُكم فَيُصَلِّي عند طلوعِ الشمسِ، ولا عندَ غروبها".
