1. Book of Purification (6/11)
[Machine] Ibrahim used to say, "If one purifies themself at the time of 'Asr, they should pray Zuhr and 'Asr."
[Machine] "If she is pure during the time of prayer, she prays."
[Machine] "If you become pure at the time of prayer, then pray that prayer and do not pray any other."
[Machine] "The Prophet said, 'Pray the Dhuhr and Asr prayers.' I asked him, 'What if the time for purification (after impurity) is close to sunset?' He replied, 'In that case, perform the Asr prayer and do not pray Dhuhr. Even if one has not purified (from impurity) until sunset, there is no harm in that.' Abdullah was then asked if he followed this ruling, to which he replied, 'No.'"
1.96 [Machine] If a woman's menstruation days coincide with her istihada days
[Machine] A woman wrote to him, "I have been experiencing menstruation since such and such days, and I have been informed that Ali said, 'One should perform ablution before every prayer.'" Ibn Abbas said, "We do not find anything contrary to what Ali said."
[Machine] Zainab used to stay in seclusion with the Prophet ﷺ and during her menstrual period, she would bleed. So he instructed her to take a ritual bath after every prayer.
[Machine] Ali and Ibn Mas'ud used to say, "A woman experiencing Istihadah (continuous vaginal bleeding outside of menstruation) should perform Wudu (ablution) before every prayer."
[Machine] Al-Awza'i, Al-Zuhri, and Mak'hul used to say, "One should perform ablution before every prayer."
[Machine] "Wahb, the mother of Habiba bint Jahsh, had a condition where she experienced bleeding. She asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, so he instructed her to perform ablution (ritual purification) before each prayer and then pray."
[Machine] About that, they said that Ali used to say, "You should wash for every prayer." So, I read and wrote the answer with my own hand, I couldn't find anything except what Ali said. It was said that Kufa is a cold land, so he said, "If Allah had willed, He would have tested it with something harsher than that."
[Machine] It was said to Ibn Abbas that indeed its land is a cold land, so he said, "It delays the noon and hastens the afternoon, and it washes (the body) with a wash and it delays the sunset and hastens the evening prayer, and it washes (the body) with a wash. And it washes (the body) with a wash before dawn."
[Machine] "The daughter of Jaheesh used to be under the care of Abdur Rahman ibn Awf, and she used to experience menstruation. She would leave her designated place of seclusion, and indeed she had a high menstrual flow, so she would perform prayer."
[Machine] Ibn Abbas used to say, "For every two prayers, there is a washing, and for the morning prayer, there is a special washing."
[Machine] "You should use water to slaughter it, as it cuts off the blood from you."
[Machine] About the waiting period (Iddah) of a divorced woman: If a woman experiences menstruation after the divorce, she should wait for one year. If she does not experience menstruation within that year, she should wait for three more months. If she still does not experience menstruation within that time, her waiting period is deemed complete.
[Machine] About a woman who gets divorced while she is young and her menstruation stops without reaching menopause? He asked, "Does she stop menstruating without having menopause?" And Tawus said, "For three months."
[Machine] "If a man divorces his wife and she has her period once or twice and then her period stops, if this is due to old age, she must wait three months. But if she is young and uncertain, she must wait one year after her last menstrual cycle."
[Machine] "The istihadah (irregular bleeding) is a condition in which a woman does not have a regular menstrual cycle. Its purification (by performing ghusl) is required once a month if it occurs once, and twice a month if it occurs twice, and its waiting period is three months."
[Machine] "The duration of impurity for a woman who experiences istihadah is a year."
[Machine] "The woman experiencing istihadah (abnormal bleeding outside of menstruation) can recite the Quran."
[Machine] "Abu Muhammad, the people of the Hijaz say that al-Aqrā'u al-Aṭhār (referring to a specific tribe or group of individuals) are the purest. The people of Iraq said it is al-Hayd (menstruation). Abdullah said, and I say that it is al-Hayd."
[Machine] "The woman experiencing istihaadah can make herself clean by using sanitary pads."
[Machine] "About a man who divorced his wife while she was a young woman who was menstruating, and her menstrual cycle stopped when he divorced her, and she did not see any blood. How many days should she count?" He said, "Three months."
[Machine] About a man who divorced his wife, then she had two menstruations, and then her menstruation ceased. How long should she wait before remarrying? He said, "Her waiting period is one year."
[Machine] About a man who divorced his wife while she was menstruating, she stayed for three months then had another period, then her period was delayed, and she stayed for seven months and eight days, then she had another period that came earlier than expected and another one that was delayed. How should she count her waiting period? He said, "If her period differs from her regular cycle, then her waiting period shall be one year."
[Machine] About the man who buys a young girl who has not yet reached puberty or become pregnant, for how long can he keep her? He said, "For three months."
[Machine] "And Yahya bin Abi Kathir said, 'For forty-five days.'"
[Machine] He used to say that a woman in a state of Istihadah should perform ablution before every prayer and then pray.
[Machine] "Is it true that a woman who has missed her prayer for months should make up for them? It was asked, how should she make them up? He said, she should make them up in one day if she is able. It was asked of Abdullah, do you say this? He said, yes, by Allah."
1.97 [Machine] When Al-Hubla sees blood
[Machine] My wife saw blood and I saw her pregnant. He said, "That is the shedding of the womb. Allah knows what every female carries, what the wombs shed, and what they increase. And everything has its extent" [Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 8]. So, whatever she shed, it increased similarly in her pregnancy.
[Machine] Regarding this verse {Allah knows what every female carries and what the wombs lose] (Al-Ra'd 8), Ikrimah said, "This refers to the menstrual blood on the umbilical cord. It does not menstruate for a day on the cord unless it increases its purity in its cord."
[Machine] About Aisha: "When a woman experiences the menstrual blood, she does not pray until she becomes clean."
[Machine] ‘Ikrimah said, "And the uterus contracts" (Al-Ra'd 8). He said, "It is the menstrual period that occurs on a regular basis." (Al-Ra'd 8). He said, "So she continues to menstruate every month during her pregnancy, and her purity increases until she completes nine months free of impurity."
[Machine] About Mujahid, "And (the) wombs do not lessen (the value)" [Ar-Ra'd: 8], he said, "When a woman menstruates while pregnant," he said, "It will result in a decrease in the child. But when it exceeds nine months, it will complete what was decreased from her child."
[Machine] He said, "My wife is menstruating while she is pregnant."
A similar tradition has been transmitted by A’ishah through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2220)
[Machine] About Shu'aybi in pregnancy, you will see blood. "If she is ignorant, she should perform ablution and pray. If it's just a perception, she should perform ablution and pray."
[Machine] "If she saw him as she used to see him before, in her recitals, she left the prayer. But if it only happened for a day or two, she did not abandon the prayer."
