darimi:744Aḥmad b. ʿAbdullāh > Layth b. Saʿd > Abū al-Zubayr > Sufyān b. ʿAbdullāh > ʿĀṣim b. Sufyān > Um Ghazawā Ghazwah al-Salāsil Farajaʿūā > Muʿāwiyah And ʿIndah Abū Ayyūb Waʿuqbah b. ʿĀmir > Abū Ayyūb

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever performs ablution as commanded and prays as commanded, his previous sins will be forgiven." Is that true, O 'Uqbah? He said, "Yes."

darimi:745al-Ḥakam b. al-Mubārak > Mālik > Suhayl b. Abū Ṣāliḥ from his father > Abū Hurayrah

Messenger of Allah said: "When a Muslim, or believer, performs Wudu', washing his face, every evil that he looked at with his eyes leaves with the water - or with the last drop of water, or an expression similar to that - and when he washes his hands, every evil he did with his hands leaves with the water - or with the last drop of water - until he becomes free of sin." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2)

darimi:746Yaḥyá b. Ḥassān > Ḥammād b. Salamah > ʿAlī b. Zayd > Abū ʿUthmān

[Machine] I was with Salman under a tree, and he took a dry branch from it and shook it until its leaves fell. He said, "Do you not ask me why I did this?" I said to him, "Why did you do it?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did the same to me." Then he said, "Verily, when a Muslim performs ablution well and prays the five prayers, his sins fall off just like these leaves." Then he recited, "And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember." [Hud 114]
