البزّار:٥٧٧٢حَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَأحمد بْنُ عَبْدَةَ قَالاَ حَدَّثنَا أَبُو داود حَدَّثنا شُعْبَةُ عَن سُليمان التَّيْمِيِّ وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ وَحَمَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ وَعَتَّابٍ مَوْلَى هُرْمُزٍ عَن أَنَس؛

I arrived at the Masjid and al-Mughīrah, the Amīr of al-Kūfah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Indeed a lie upon me is not like a lie upon anyone else, for whoever lies upon me intentionally, then he shall take his seat in the Fire."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever tells a lie about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 584)

أحمد:٢٦٧٥حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ الْوَضَّاحُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الثَّعْلَبِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اتَّقُوا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِّي إِلا مَا عَلِمْتُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Beware of narrating from me except what I taught you, for whoever lies about me on purpose, then let him take his seat in the Fire. And whoever says (something) about the Qur'an according to his (own) opinion, then let him take his seat in the Fire." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2951)

[AI] Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ood, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever intentionally lies about me, let him prepare his place in Hell."

[AI] I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever attributes to me what I have not said, let him take his place in the fire. And he prohibited alcohol, gambling, drum (a musical instrument), and lute. And he said, every intoxicant is forbidden."

أحمد:٦٤٧٨حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel (which have been taught to you), for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3461)

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever falsely attributes to me something I have not said, let him take his seat in the Hellfire." He also said, "Indeed, Allah Almighty has forbidden alcohol, gambling, idols, and divining arrows, and every intoxicant is forbidden."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sees me in a dream has indeed seen me, for Satan does not impersonate me." Shu'bah said, or he said, "He does not resemble me. And whoever intentionally lies about me, let him take his seat in the fire."

[AI] I heard Abu Hurairah saying, and he used to begin his narration by saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Al-Qasim, the truthful and trustworthy one, whoever deliberately lies about me, should take his place in the (Hell) Fire."

ahmad:10055Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Abū Ḥaṣīn > Dhakwān Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah

Do not take down anything from me, and he who took down anything from me except the Qur'an, he should efface that and narrate from me, for there is no harm in it and he who attributed any falsehood to me-and Hammam said: I think he also said:" deliberately" -he should in fact find his abode in the Hell-Fire. أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَكْتُبُوا عَنِّي شَيْئًا إِلَّا الْقُرْآنَ فَمَنْ كَتَبَ عَنِّي شَيْئًا فَلْيَمْحُهُ وَقَالَ حَدِّثُوا عَنِّي وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet of Allah ﷺ , he said: "Whoever deliberately lies about me, will have a house in the Fire (Hell)."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever lies against me, let him secure his place in Hellfire intentionally." He repeated this statement twice and added, "And whoever intentionally lies against me once."

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one should swear falsely from my pulpit except that they will have a seat in the Fire."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَحْلِفُ أَحَدٌ عَلَى مِنْبَرِي كَاذِبًا إِلَّا تَبَوَّأَ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

ahmad:18140Qurrān b. Tammām > Saʿīd b. ʿUbayd al-Ṭāʾī > ʿAlī b. Rabīʿah al-Asadī > Māt a man from al-Anṣār

[AI] "What is the ruling on lying in Islam? Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Verily, lying against me is not like lying against anyone else. So, whoever intentionally lies about me, let him reserve his seat in the Hellfire.' And indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Whoever imitates a people, he will be punished for what they are known for imitating.'"

أحمد:١٨١٤٠حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّانُ بْنُ تَمَّامٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّائِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ قَالَ مَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهُ قَرَظَةُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ فَنِيحَ عَلَيْهِ فَخَرَجَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ

مَا بَالُ النَّوْحِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ؟ أَمَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ كَذِبًا عَلَيَّ لَيْسَ كَكَذِبٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ أَلَا وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ أَلَا وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ عُذِّبَ بِمَا يُنَاحُ بِهِ عَلَيْهِ

[AI] What is the matter with this cry in Islam? A man from the Ansar died and people wailed over him. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Verily, lying about me is not like lying about anyone else. So whoever lies about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell.' I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Indeed, the one whom people wail over will be punished because of the wailing."

أحمد:١٨٢٠٢حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا فَرَقِيَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ

مَا بَالُ هَذَا النَّوْحِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَكَانَ مَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَنِيحَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ كَذِبًا عَلَيَّ لَيْسَ كَكَذِبٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ فَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ مَنْ نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ يُعَذَّبْ بِمَا نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone swears a false oath in confinement, he should make his seat in Hell on account of his (act). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3242)

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying: "Whoever deliberately lies about me should prepare his place in Hellfire."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ

malik:36-14Yaḥyá > Mālik > Hāshim b. Hāshim b. ʿUtbah b. Abū Waqqāṣ > ʿAbdullāh b. Nisṭās > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh al-Anṣārī

Yahya said, Malik related to us from Hisham ibn Hisham ibn Utba ibn Abi Waqqas from Abdullah ibn Nistas from Jabir ibn Abdullah al- Ansari that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If someone swears a false oath near this mimbar of mine, he will take his seat in the fire.' "

مالك:٣٦-١٤قَالَ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ هَاشِمِ بْنِ هَاشِمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نِسْطَاسٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِي آثِمًا تَبَوَّأَ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

[AI] Tell me something you heard from the Messenger of Allah, may peace and blessings be upon him. He said, "I fear that my tongue may slip into saying something that the Messenger of Allah, may peace and blessings be upon him, did not say. I have heard the Messenger of Allah, may peace and blessings be upon him, say, 'Beware of speaking excessively about me. Whoever intentionally lies about me should prepare his place in the Fire.'"

الحاكم:٣٨٠حَدَّثَنِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا عَتَّابُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَوْذَبٍ ثنا كَعْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي قَتَادَةَ

حَدِّثْنِي بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَخْشَى أَنْ يَزِلَّ لِسَانِي بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ يَقُلْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِيَّاكُمْ وَكَثْرَةَ الْحَدِيثِ عَنِّي مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا تَرَكْتُ بَعْدِي فِتْنَةً أَضَرَّ عَلَى الرِّجَالِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَالَ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقُلْ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»
