Ibn Juraij told me that Abu Zubair heard Jabir say that the Prophet ﷺ kept standing for a bier until it disappeared.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِجَنَازَةٍ مَرَّتْ بِهِ حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ

Again Abu Zubair heard Jabir say that the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions kept standing for a bier of a Jew until it disappeared from sight.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ لِجَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ

"We were with 'Ali and a funeral passed by him, and they stood up for it. 'Ali said: "What is this?' They said: 'The command of Abu Musa.' He said: 'Rather the Messenger of Allah stood up for a Jewish funeral but he did not do it again."'

كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَلِيٍّ فَمَرَّتْ جَنَازَةٌ فَقَامُوا لَهَا فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ مَا هَذَا قَالُوا أَمْرُ أَبِي مُوسَى فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِجَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيَّةٍ وَلَمْ يَعُدْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ

a funeral passed by Al-Hasan bin 'Ali and Ibn 'Abbas. Al-Hasan stood up but Ibn 'Abbas did not/ Al-Hasan said: 'Didn't the Messenger of Allah stand up for the funeral of a Jew?' Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Yes, then he sat down."'

أَنَّ جَنَازَةً مَرَّتْ بِالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَامَ الْحَسَنُ وَلَمْ يَقُمِ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِجَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ

"The Prophet and his Companions stood up for the funeral of Jew that passed by him, until it disappeared." (In another narration) Jabir said: "The Prophet and his Companions stood up for the funeral of a Jew until it disappeared."

قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِجَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ مَرَّتْ بِهِ حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَيْضًا أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا ؓ يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ لِجَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up for a funeral, and we stood up, until he sat down, then we sat down.”

قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِجِنَازَةٍ فَقُمْنَا حَتَّى جَلَسَ فَجَلَسْنَا

[Machine] He heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying that the Prophet ﷺ stood up for the funeral of a Jew until it passed by him.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِجَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ حَتَّى جَاوَزَتْهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up for a funeral procession that passed by, along with those who were with him, until it disappeared.

قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِجَنَازَةٍ مَرَّتْ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ

a funeral passed by the Messenger of Allah and he stood up. It was said: "It is the funeral of a Jew." He said: "We stood up for the angels." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1929)

«أَنَّ جِنَازَةَ يَهُودِيٍّ مَرَّتْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ» فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا جِنَازَةُ يَهُودِيٍّ فَقَالَ «إِنَّمَا قُمْتُ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ»

[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing for the funeral of a Jew."

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ لِجِنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ مَرَّتْ عَلَيْهِ»

[Machine] Al-Hasan suggested, "Hasn't the Prophet ﷺ stood up for the funeral of a Jewish person or woman passing by?" Ibn Abbas replied, "Indeed he did, and he sat down afterwards."

الْحَسَنُ «أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِجِنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ أَوْ يَهُودِيَّةٍ مَرَّتْ بِهِ؟» فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ «بَلَى وَجَلَسَ»

[Machine] Did not the Prophet ﷺ stand up for the funeral of a Jewish man or woman who passed by? Ibn Abbas said, "Yes, he did, and he sat down."

الْحَسَنُ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِجِنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ أَوْ يَهُودِيَّةٍ مَرَّتْ بِهِ؟ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسً بَلَى وَجَلَسَ

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ only attended a Jewish funeral, then he did not attend any other after that."

«إِنَّمَا قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِجِنَازَةِ يَهُودِيَّةٍ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَعُدْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ»

a funeral passed by Al-Hasan bin 'Ali and Ibn 'Abbas. Al-Hasan stood up but Ibn 'Abbas did not/ Al-Hasan said: 'Didn't the Messenger of Allah stand up for the funeral of a Jew?' Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Yes, then he sat down."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1924)

"The Prophet and his Companions stood up for the funeral of Jew that passed by him, until it disappeared." (In another narration) Jabir said: "The Prophet and his Companions stood up for the funeral of a Jew until it disappeared." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1928)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺلِجِنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ وَأَصْحَابُهُ حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ
