The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up for funerals, so we stood up; then he sat down, so we sat down.  

أحمد:١٠٩٤ – حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلجَنَازَةِ فَقُمْنَا ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَجَلَسْنَا
