I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be open him) pronouncing taslim on his right and on his left till I saw the whiteness of his cheek.

كُنْتُ أَرَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى أَرَى بَيَاضَ خَدِّهِ

The Prophet ﷺ used to give the salutation to his left and right sides until the whiteness of his cheek was seen, (saying: "Peace be upon you, and mercy of Allah" twice. AbuDawud said: This is a version of the tradition reported by AbuSufyan. The version of Isra'il did not explain it. AbuDawud said: This tradition has been narrated by Zubayr from AbuIshaq and Yahya ibn Adam from Isra'il from AbuIshaq from AbdurRahman ibn al-Aswad from his father from Alqamah on the authority of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. AbuDawud said: Shu'bah used to reject this tradition, the tradition narrated by AbuIshaq as coming from the Prophet ﷺ.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: "It is as if I can see the whiteness of his cheek, saying to his right: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah)." (Sahih

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَدِّهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say the salam to his right so that the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, and to his left so that the whiteness of his cheek could be seen."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ

The Prophet ﷺ used to say salam to his right and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen from here, and the whiteness of his cheek from here.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ مِنْ هَا هُنَا وَبَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ مِنْ هَا هُنَا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say salam to his right:As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) , until the whiteness of his right cheek could be seen, and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his left cheek could be seen.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الأَيْمَنِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الأَيْسَرِ

“As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah).”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say the Salam to his right and to his left, until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen (saying): ‘As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah.’”

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to greet by waving his right hand and then his left hand, until the whiteness of his cheeks became visible.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدَّيْهِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say the Salam to his right and to his left, until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen (saying): ‘As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 916)

[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ greeting with his right hand, saying, 'Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah,' until the whiteness on his right cheek became visible. And he would do the same with his left hand."

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ

“As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 914)

[AI] The Messenger of Allahﷺ used to greet in his prayer from his right side and from his left side until the whiteness of his cheeks could be seen.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدَّيْهِ

The Prophet ﷺ used to say salam to his right and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen from here, and the whiteness of his cheek from here. [AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send greetings upon himself in his prayer, on his right side and on his left side, until the whiteness of his cheeks could be seen.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدَّيْهِ

“As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 914)

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ»

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allahﷺ extending his greetings with his right hand and his left hand until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ»

I offered prayer along with the Prophet ﷺ. He would give the salutation to his right side (saying): Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings; and to his left side (saying): Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 997)

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ»

قَالَ أَمَّنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسَلَّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْسَرِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَمَا نَسِيتُ بَعْدُ فِيمَا نَسِيتُ

[AI] "I used to see the radiance of the Prophet's ﷺ cheeks when he used to turn his face to the right and left to give Salam."

«كُنْتُ أَرَى بَيَاضَ خَدَّيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to greet with "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" on his right side and on his left side.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to greet with his right hand and his left hand until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ

[AI] I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ greet by saying "peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" until the whiteness of his cheek is visible and the same is seen from the other side.

لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ وَمَنِ الْجَانِبِ الْآخَرِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he used to greet with his right hand saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, and with his left hand saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he used to greet with his right hand and his left hand, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to extend his greetings to his right and left until the whiteness of his face would become visible. I do not remember what I forgot. "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى أَوْ يَبْدُو بَيَاضُ وَجْهِهِ فَمَا نَسِيتُ فِيمَا نَسِيتُ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to greet with "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" from his right and from his left, so that they could see his face.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى تَبْدُوَ لَهُمْ صَفْحَتُهُ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ used to greet with his right hand and his left hand until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, saying 'Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah'."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ used to greet by shaking hands with his right and left hand until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to greet with his right hand and left hand until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»

[AI] It is as if I am seeing the whiteness of the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ cheeks as he gives the Salam with his right hand, saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings". And with his left hand he says "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah".

كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَدَّيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ» وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْسَرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to greet with his right hand and his left hand, until his cheek was visible saying, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah." This is reported by Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas and Jabir bin Samurah from the Prophet ﷺ.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ خَدُّهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَهُوَ ثَابِتٌ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

"عَنْ عَلِىٍّ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَاره: السَّلام عَلَيْكُمْ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ".

"أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله، حَتَّى يُرَي بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ".

"عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: مَا نَسيتُ فَمَا نَسيتُ عَنْ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ , أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَيُسَلِّم عَنْ يَمينِه، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله، حَتَّى يُرى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ، وَعَنْ يَسَارهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، حتَّى يُرَى بياضُ خَدِّهِ".
