“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say the Salam to his right and to his left, until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen (saying): ‘As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 916)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ أَيْضًا
The Prophet ﷺ said: "It is as if I can see the whiteness of his cheek, saying to his right: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah)." (Sahih
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَدِّهِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ
The Prophet ﷺ used to say salam to his right and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen from here, and the whiteness of his cheek from here.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ مِنْ هَا هُنَا وَبَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ مِنْ هَا هُنَا
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say salam to his right:As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) , until the whiteness of his right cheek could be seen, and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his left cheek could be seen.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الأَيْمَنِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الأَيْسَرِ
The Prophet ﷺ used to give the salutation to his left and right sides until the whiteness of his cheek was seen, (saying: "Peace be upon you, and mercy of Allah" twice. AbuDawud said: This is a version of the tradition reported by AbuSufyan. The version of Isra'il did not explain it. AbuDawud said: This tradition has been narrated by Zubayr from AbuIshaq and Yahya ibn Adam from Isra'il from AbuIshaq from AbdurRahman ibn al-Aswad from his father from Alqamah on the authority of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. AbuDawud said: Shu'bah used to reject this tradition, the tradition narrated by AbuIshaq as coming from the Prophet ﷺ.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ
I offered prayer along with the Prophet ﷺ. He would give the salutation to his right side (saying): Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings; and to his left side (saying): Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah.
صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَكَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ
“As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah).”
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ يَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ يَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he used to salute with his right hand and his left hand until I saw the whiteness of his face, and I have not forgotten after that: "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى أَرَى بَيَاضَ وَجْهِهِ فَمَا نَسِيتُ بَعْدُ فِيمَا نَسِيتُالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ
The Prophet ﷺ used to say salam to his right and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen from here, and the whiteness of his cheek from here. “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say the Salam to his right and to his left, until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen (saying): ‘As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 916)
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ»

“As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullah (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 914)
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ»
[Machine] I saw the Prophet ﷺ raising his hands and saying the Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) during every lifting, putting down, standing, sitting, and he would greet with the Salam (peace) from his right and left saying, "As-Salamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi" (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.
أَنَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفْعٍ وَوَضْعٍ وَقِيَامٍ وَقُعُودٍ وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَشِمَالِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ
[Machine] I saw the Prophet (PBUH) raising his hands in every lifting and putting down, while standing and sitting, and he would greet with "peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" on his right and left until the whiteness of his cheek was visible.
أَنَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفْعٍ وَوَضْعٍ وَقِيَامٍ وَقُعُودٍ وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَشِمَالِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ
[Machine] I saw the Prophet ﷺ raising his hands in every takbeer, standing, sitting, and placing his hands on his sides. He would also say the salaam by moving his right and left hand, saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.
أَنَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفْعٍ وَوَضْعٍ وَقِيَامٍ وَقُعُودٍ وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَشِمَالِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to greet with "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" on his right side and on his left side.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he used to greet with his right hand saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, and with his left hand saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah" until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he used to greet with his right hand and his left hand, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to extend his greetings to his right and left until the whiteness of his face would become visible. I do not remember what I forgot. "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى أَوْ يَبْدُو بَيَاضُ وَجْهِهِ فَمَا نَسِيتُ فِيمَا نَسِيتُ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ used to greet with his right hand and his left hand until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, saying 'Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah'."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to greet with his right hand and left hand until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»
[Machine] I did not forget about the things, for I have never forgotten to deliver the greeting of peace and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , in the prayer, both to his right and left side, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."
مَا نَسِيتُ مِنَ الْأَشْيَاءِ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَنَسَ تَسْلِيمَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ greeting with his right hand and his left hand, saying: "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah."
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»
[Machine] It is as if I am seeing the whiteness of the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ cheeks as he gives the Salam with his right hand, saying "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings". And with his left hand he says "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah".
كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَدَّيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ» وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ»
The Prophet ﷺ said: "It is as if I can see the whiteness of his cheek, saying to his right: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah)." أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْسَرِ
عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى الْمُغِيرَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَةَ أَحَادِيثَ
"أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله، حَتَّى يُرَي بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ".
"عَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ فِى الصَّلَاةِ تَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ: تَسْلِيمَةً عَنْ يَمِينِهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله، وَتَسْلِيمَةً عَنْ يَسَارِهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ، حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ مِنْ هَهُنَا وَمِنْ هَهُنَا".
"عَنْ عَلِىٍّ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَاره: السَّلام عَلَيْكُمْ، السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ".
"عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: مَا نَسيتُ فَمَا نَسيتُ عَنْ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ , أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَيُسَلِّم عَنْ يَمينِه، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله، حَتَّى يُرى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ، وَعَنْ يَسَارهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، حتَّى يُرَى بياضُ خَدِّهِ".
