سَبْرَةُ بْنُ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ أَخُو خُرَيْمٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The scale is in the hand of Allah, He lifts some people and lowers others, and the heart of the son of Adam is between two fingers of the fingers of the Most Merciful. He turns it as He wills. If He wills, He misguides it, and if He wills, He keeps it steadfast."  

الطبراني:٦٥٥٧ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَا ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا الزُّبَيْدِيُّ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ سَبْرَةَ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمِيزَانُ بِيَدِ اللهِ يَرْفَعُ أَقْوَامًا وَيَضَعُ قَوْمًا وَقَلَبُ ابْنِ آدَمَ بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنْ شَاءَ أَزَاغَهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ أَقَامَهُ»

If He wants to establish it, He establishes it, and if He wants to mislead it, He misleads it." He also used to say, "O Turner of the hearts, make our hearts steadfast on Your religion. The scale is in the hand of the Most Merciful, He lowers it and raises it."

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'There is no heart that is not between two of the Fingers of the Most Merciful. If He wills, He guides it and if He wills, He sends it astray.' The Messenger of Allah used to say: 'O You Who makes hearts steadfast make our hearts steadfast in adhering to Your religion.' And he said: 'The Scale is in the Hand of the Most Merciful; He will cause some peoples to rise and others to fall until the day of Resurrection.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 199)
