الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

tabarani:6556 – Aḥmad b. ʿAmr al-Khallāl al-Makkī > Yaʿqūb b. Ḥumayd > Sabrah b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. al-Rabīʿ b. Sabrah from his father from his grandfather from his father

[Machine] The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a cloud, so they said, "O Messenger of Allah, we were hoping that this cloud will rain on us." He said, "It has been commanded to rain on Balil," meaning a valley called Balil.

الطبراني:٦٥٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا سَبْرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

رَأَى أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَحَابَةً فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كُنَّا نَرْجُو أَنْ تُمْطِرَنَا هَذِهِ السَّحَابَةُ فَقَالَ «أُمِرَتْ أَنْ تُمْطِرَ بَلِيلَ» يَعْنِي وَادِيًا يُقَالُ لَهُ بَلِيلُ

أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَرْجُو أَنْ تُمْطِرَنَا هَذِهِ السَّحَابَةُ فَقَالَ «هَذِهِ سَحَابَةٌ أُمِرَتْ أَنْ تُمْطِرَ يَعْنِي الْوَادِيَ»
