The first is a person to whom Allah has given knowledge and wealth, so he acts upon his knowledge in his wealth. The second is a person to whom Allah has given knowledge, but not wealth, so he says, "If Allah had given me what He gave to this person, I would have acted in the same way as he does." Their rewards are equal. The third is a person to whom Allah has given wealth, but not knowledge, so he uses his wealth in wrongful ways, without fearing Allah or maintaining family ties. The fourth is a person who has neither been given knowledge nor wealth, so he says, "If Allah had given me what He gave to this person, I would have acted in the same way as he does." They are equal in sin.

Then another Muslim sees him and wishes to have the same wealth and to do the same actions. They both share the burden of sin equally."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The example of this Ummah is like that of four people. Allah has given one of them wealth and knowledge, so he spends it in the right way. Another person has been given knowledge but not wealth, so he says, "If I had wealth like this person, I would do the same deeds as him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: They are equal in reward. Another person has been given wealth but not knowledge, so he spends it in the wrong way. And there is a person who has not been given knowledge or wealth, so he says, "If I had wealth like so-and-so, I would do the same deeds as him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: They are equal in sin.

[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "I am going to tell you something, so preserve it. Verily, the people of this world are of four types: a servant whom Allah has blessed with wealth and knowledge, so he fears his Lord therein, maintains kinship ties, and does good deeds for the sake of Allah. This person is in the highest rank. And a servant whom Allah has blessed with knowledge but not wealth, so he says: 'If I had wealth, I would have done the deeds of so and so.' Their rewards are equal. And a servant whom Allah has blessed with wealth but not knowledge, so he squanders his wealth without knowledge, neither fearing his Lord nor maintaining kinship ties, nor doing good deeds for the sake of Allah. This person is in the worst of ranks. And a servant whom Allah has not blessed with wealth nor knowledge, so he says: 'If I had wealth, I would have done the deeds of so and so.' Their intentions and burdens are equal."
