30. Those with Teknonyms Among Male Companions Whose Name is Not Known
٣٠۔ مُسْنَدُ مَنْ يُعْرَفُ بِالْكُنَى مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِمَّنْ لَمْ يُنْقَلْ إِلَيْنَا اسْمُهُ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "When one of you leaves his house, let him say: 'In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah, there is no power or might except with Allah. Whatever Allah wills, I rely on Allah. Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best disposer of affairs.'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ «إِذَا خَرَجَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ حَسْبِي اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ»
[Machine] The patronymic name of Fatima is the mother of her father.
«كُنْيَةُ فَاطِمَةُ أُمُّ أَبِيهَا»
[Machine] "He said to me, more than one person told me that Fatima was their youngest and most beloved to the Messenger of Allah. And Az-Zubayr ibn Bakkar claimed that Ruqayyah was younger than Fatima."
«قَالَ لِي غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ أَصْغَرَهُنَّ وَأَحَبَّهُنَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» وَزَعَمَ الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ أَنَّ رُقَيَّةَ أَصْغَرُ مِنْ فَاطِمَةَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ had a son named Al-Qasim, who was his eldest child. Then came Zainab, then Abdullah, who was also called At-Tayyib and At-Tahir. He was born after the prophethood and died at a young age. Then came Umm Kulthum, then Fatimah, then Ruqayyah. This is the order of their birth. The first to die was Al-Qasim in Makkah, then Abdullah.
«وَلَدُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْقَاسِمُ وَهُوَ أَكْبَرُ وَلَدِهِ ثُمَّ زَيْنَبُ ثُمَّ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ الطِّيبُ وَيُقَالُ لَهُ الطَّاهِرُ وُلِدَ بَعْدَ النُّبُوَّةِ وَمَاتَ صَغِيرًا ثُمَّ أُمُّ كُلْثُومٍ ثُمُّ فَاطِمَةُ ثُمَّ رُقَيَّةُ هَكَذَا الْأَوَّلُ فَالْأَوَّلُ مَاتَ الْقَاسِمُ بِمَكَّةَ ثُمَّ مَاتَ عَبْدُ اللهِ»
[Machine] "Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , was known as the mother of her father. It is said that she was the youngest child of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after Khadijah. It is also said that she was the twin of Abdullah, the son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."
«وَكَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تُكَنَّى أُمَّ أَبِيهَا يُقَالُ كَانَتْ أَصْغَرَ وَلَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ خَدِيجَةَ وَيُقَالُ بَلْ كَانَتْ تَوْأَمَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»
[Machine] Fatimah passed away six months after the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and Ali ibn Abi Talib buried her at night.
«تُوُفِّيَتُ فَاطِمَةُ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِسِتَّةِ أَشْهُرٍ وَدَفَنَهَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ لَيْلًا»
[Machine] "That Fatima lived for six months after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
«أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ عَاشَتْ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ»
«أَنَّ عَلِيًّا دَفَنَ فَاطِمَةَ لَيْلًا»
«أَنَّ عَلِيًّا دَفَنَ فَاطِمَةَ لَيْلًا»
[Machine] Fatima stayed after the Prophet ﷺ for six months and then she died.
«مَكَثَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ ثُمَّ مَاتَتْ»
[Machine] Aisha said, "Indeed, Fatima lived after the Prophet ﷺ for six months."
عَائِشَةُ «إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ عَاشَتْ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ»
[Machine] Fatima stayed after the Prophet ﷺ for three months, and she was not seen smiling after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except that her tooth corner moved.
«مَكَثَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَمَا رُئِيَتْ ضَاحِكَةً بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَمْتَرُوا فِي طَرَفِ نَابِهَا»
[Machine] That when death approached Fatimah, she ordered Ali to prepare the ritual washing for her. She washed and purified herself and requested her burial shroud. So, coarse thick clothing was brought to her, and she wore it. She touched some of the perfume and instructed Ali not to uncover her when she passed away and to bury her as she was in her clothes. So, I asked him if anyone taught her to do that, and he said yes, Kathir ibn Abbas, who wrote on the edges of her shroud: "Kathir ibn Abbas bears witness that there is no god but Allah."
أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ «لَمَّا حَضَرَتْهَا الْوَفَاةُ أَمَرَتْ عَلِيًّا فَوَضَعَ لَهَا غُسْلًا فَاغْتَسَلَتْ وَتَطَهَّرَتْ وَدَعَتْ بِثِيَابِ أَكْفَانِهَا فَأُتِيَتْ بِثِيَابٍ غِلَاظٍ خَشِنٍ وَلَبِسَتْهَا وَمَسَّتْ مِنَ الْحَنُوطِ وَأَمَرَتْ عَلِيًّا أَنْ لَا تُكْشَفَ إِذَا قُبِضَتْ وَأَنْ تُدْرَجَ كَمَا هِيَ فِي ثِيَابِهَا» فَقُلْتُ لَهُ هَلْ عَلَّمَتْ أَحَدًا فِعْلَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ كَثِيرَ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَكَتَبَ فِي أَطْرَافِ أَكْفَانِهِ يَشْهَدُ كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ
[Machine] I heard Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah say, "Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , passed away when she was twenty-seven years old."
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ يَقُولُ «تُوُفِّيَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً»
