[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "There are five practices of the messengers: modesty, forbearance, cupping, using the toothstick, and wearing perfume."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ خَمْسٌ مِنْ سُنَنِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ الْحَيَاءُ وَالْحِلْمُ وَالْحِجَامَةُ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَالتَّعَطُّرُ  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik and Bakr bin Sahl narrated from Abdullah bin Yusuf that Malik narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm, from Abbad bin Tamim, that Abu Bashir Al-Ansari informed him that he was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys. Abdullah bin Abi Bakr said, "I thought that the people were carrying their loads on the necks of their camels, with necklaces of semen and other necklaces, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a messenger and said, 'Do not let any necklace remain on the neck of the camel, be it made of wool or any other material." Malik said, "I think this was because of the 'ayn (evil eye)."  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ أَنَّ أَبَا بَشِيرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَسُولًا قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَالنَّاسُ فِي مَقِيلِهِمْ «لَا تَبْقَيَنَّ فِي عُنُقِ بَعِيرٍ قِلَادَةٌ مِنْ وَبَرٍ وَلَا قِلَادَةٍ إِلَّا قُطِعَتْ» قَالَ مَالِكٌ «أَرَى أَنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْعَيْنِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was praying with them one day when a woman passed by Al-Bathaa. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , gestured to her to wait, so she returned until he had finished praying, and then she passed by.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَمَرَّتِ امْرَأَةٌ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تَأَخَّرِي فَرَجَعَتْ حَتَّى صَلَّى ثُمَّ مَرَّتْ
