كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي جَسَدِي وَعَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي وَاجْعَلْهُ الْوَارِثَ مِنِّي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Urge your dying ones to say: “La ilaha illallahul-Halimul-Karim, Subhan-Allahi Rabbil-‘Arshil-‘Azim, Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil-‘alamin (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Forbearing, the Most Kind. Glory is to Allah, Lord of the magnificent Throne; praise is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds).’” They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what about those who are alive?’ He said: ‘Even better, even better.’”
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَقِّنُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ لِلأَحْيَاءِ قَالَ أَجْوَدُ وَأَجْوَدُ
The Messenger of Allah ؓ said: ʿShall I not teach you some words which, if you say them you will be forgiven, even though you are already forgiven: There is no god but Allah, Most High, the Almighty; there is no god but Him, the most Forbearing the Most Generous; glory be to Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne; praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.”
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَلا أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ إِذَا قُلْتَهُنَّ غُفِرَ لَكَ عَلَى أَنَّهُ مَغْفُورٌ لَكَ؟ (لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.)»
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me to say, if calamity befell me: “There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing the Most Generous; glory be to Allah, blessed be Allah, the Lord of the mighty Throne; praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.”
عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِي كَرْبٌ أَنْ أَقُولَ (لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَتَبَارَكَ اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me some words and told me to say them if some distress or hardship befell me: ʿThere is no god but Allah, the Most Generous, the Forbearing, glory be to Him, Blessed be Allah, Lord of the mighty Throne and praise be to Allah the lord of the Worlds.
لَقَّنَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَؤُلاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ وَأَمَرَنِي إِنْ نَزَلَ بِي كَرْبٌ أَوْ شِدَّةٌ أَنْ أَقُولَهُنَّ (لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ الْكَرِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَبَارَكَ اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: “Shall I not teach you some words that if you say them, you will be forgiven, even though you are already forgiven. [Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ taught them these words to say to the sick person: "There is no god but Allah, the Noble, the Forbearing. Glory be to Allah! Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the Great Throne. And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds."
أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَّمَهُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ يَقُولُهُنَّ عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ الْكَرِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمُ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ»
[Machine] When she enters upon you, say, "There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the Noble. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Great Throne. Praise be to Allah, Lord of all the worlds." And he claimed that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was afflicted with something, he would say this.
لَهَا إِذَا دَخَلَ بِكِ فَقُولِي «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا حَزَبَهُ أَمْرٌ قَالَ هَذَا
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: “Shall I not teach you some words that if you say them, you will be forgiven, even though you are already forgiven. "لا إِلَهَ إِلا الله، الحَكِيم (*) الكريم، سُبْحَانَ الله، وَتَبَاركَ الله رَبُّ العَرْشِ الْعَظِيم، والْحَمْدُ لله رَبِّ الْعَالمِينَ".
"عن عَلِىٍّ قَالَ: عَلَّمَنِى رسولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَؤلاءِ الكَلمِاتِ وَأمَرنِى إِنْ نَزَلَ بِى كَرْبٌ أو شِدَّةٌ أنْ أقُولَها: "لاَ إِله إلاَّ اللهُ الحَلِيمُ الكَرِيمُ، سُبحانَ اللهِ، وتَبارك اللهُ ربُّ العَرْشِ العَظيِم والْحَمد للهِ رَبِّ العَالمِينَ".
