A person asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the offering of the prayer in a single garment. Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Has every one of you got two garments?"

أَنَّ سَائِلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ

An inquirer asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the prayer in a single garment. He (the Holy Prophet) add: Has everyone of you two garments?

أَنَّ سَائِلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ

A person addressed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said to him: Can any one of us say prayer in one garment? He said: Do all of you possess two garments?

نَادَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَيُصَلِّي أَحَدُنَا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ

Does every one of you has two garment?

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ

"Does everyone of you have two garments?"

أَنَّ سَائِلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ

“A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! One of us performs prayer in a single garment.’ The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Does everyone have two garments?’”

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَحَدُنَا يُصَلِّي فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, should a man pray in a single garment?" He said, "Does every one of you have two garments or do you all have two garments?"

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ؟ قَالَ «أَوَ كُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ أَوْ لِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ ؟»

A person addressed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said to him: Can any one of us say prayer in one garment? He said: Do all of you possess two garments? (Using translation from Muslim 515c)

نَادَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَيُصَلِّي أَحَدُنَا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ؟ قَالَ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ؟

"Does everyone of you have two garments?" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 763)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَيُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ؟ فَقَالَ أَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ؟

[AI] The messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Should a man pray in one garment?" He said, "Can any of you find two garments?"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَيُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِيثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ؟ فَقَالَ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ؟

"Does everyone of you have two garments?" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 763)

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ؟

[AI] A person asked the Prophet ﷺ if they can pray in a single garment. He replied, "Does everyone of you have two garments?"

أَنَّ سَائِلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَنُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ؟ فَقَالَ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ

[AI] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whether one of us should pray while wearing a robe. He replied, "Does each one of you find two robes?"

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُصَلِّي أَحَدُنَا فِي الثَّوْبِ؟ قَالَ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Should a man pray in a single garment?" He replied, "Is not each of you having two garments?"

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ؟ قَالَ أَوَكُلُّكُمْ لَهُ ثَوْبَانِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Said ibn al- Musayyab from Abu Hurayra that some one asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about praying in one garment. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do you all have two garments?"

أَنَّ سَائِلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ

Does every one of you has two garment? (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 625)

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ»

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "What do you think about praying in a single garment?" He replied, "Should each one of you find two garments?"

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا تَرَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ؟ فَقَالَ «أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ»

أنه قال سَمِعْتُ رجلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أيصلي أحدنا في الثوب الواحد؟ قال أوكلكم يجد ثوبين

قال يا رَسولَ اللهِ أيصلي أحدنا في الثوب الواحد؟ قال أوكلكم يجد ثوبين؟!

أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَن الصلاة في الثوب الواحد قال أوكلكم يجد ثوبين

أَنَّ رَجُلا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عن الصلاة في الثوب الواحد قال وكلكم يجد ثوبين وَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ يُونُسَ إلا هشيم

قال نادى رجل النبي ﷺ أيصلي أحدنا في الثوب الواحد قال وكلكم يجد ثوبين

قال يا رسول الله أيصلي أحدنا في الثوب الواحد قال وكلكم يجد ثوبين

قال يا رسولَ الله أيصلي أحدنا في الثوب الواحدقال أو كلكم يجد ثوبين وَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ قَتَادةَ عن ابن سيرين إلاَّ عبد الأعلى عن سعيد

قال يا رسول الله أيصلي أحدنا في الثوب الواحد قال وكلكم يجد ثوبين

A person asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the offering of the prayer in a single garment. Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Has every one of you got two garments?" (Using translation from Bukhārī 358)

أَنَّ سَائِلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ «أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ؟»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the price of the dog, the dowry of the prostitute, and the fee of the soothsayer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ وَحُلْوَانِ الْكَاهِنِ

[AI] We used to pray Asr, then the traveler would go to Quba, and they would come to them while the sun was still high.

كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ يَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى قُبَاءَ فَيَأْتِيهِمْ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ

[AI] "That which is missed of the Asr prayer is as if one has lost his wealth and children."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ كَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ

[AI] A person asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about praying in a single garment, so he asked, "Do you each have two garments?"

أَنَّ سَائِلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ؟

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting the wording of the Hadith of Yahya ibn Yahya in Maghrib, at At-Tur.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِالطُّورِ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should perform prayer at sunrise or sunset."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you enters the mosque, let him pray two voluntary units (rak'ahs) before sitting down."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيَرْكَعْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ

[AI] Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited fasting these two days: the day of your breaking the fast from your fasting, and the other day when you partake in your rituals.

إِنَّ هَذَيْنِ يَوْمَانِ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صِيَامِهِمَا يَوْمُ فِطْرِكُمْ مِنْ صِيَامِكُمْ وَالْآخَرُ يَوْمٌ تَأْكُلُونَ فِيهِ مِنْ نُسُكِكُمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed a retreat in Al-Bathaa, near Dhul-Hulayfah, where he would pray. Abdullah bin Umar used to do the same.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَاخَ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ الَّتِي بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ يُصَلِّي بِهَا قَالَ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ forbade the price of a dog, the dowry of a prostitute, and the earnings of a fortune-teller."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ وَحُلْوَانِ الْكَاهِنِ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The shade of the wealthy is oppression, and if any one of you is followed in matters of leadership, then let him be followed..."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ وَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى مَلِيٍّ فَلْيَتْبَعْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The abundance of water should not be prevented in order to prevent coldness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him attend it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا

[AI] Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about gambling, and he said, "Every intoxicant is forbidden."

عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْبِتْعِ فَقَالَ كُلُّ شَرَابٍ أَسْكَرَ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, when a Jew greets you, one of them will say to you, 'As-salamu 'alaykum,' so say to him, 'Alayka.'"

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ
