Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Jews greet anyone of you they say: 'Sam'Alaika (death be upon you); so you should say; 'Wa 'Alaika (and upon you).'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إِنَّمَا يَقُولُونَ سَامٌ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Jews greet you, they usually say, 'As-Samu 'alaikum (Death be on you),' so you should say (in reply to them), 'Wa'alaikum (And on you).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَهُودُ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ أَحَدُهُمُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ وَعَلَيْكَ

When the Jews offer you salutations, some of them say as-Sam-u-'Alaikum (death be upon you). You should say (in response to it): Let it be upon you.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا عَلَيْكُمْ يَقُولُ أَحَدُهُمُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ

The Prophet ﷺ said: When one of the Jews greets you saying: Death may come upon you, reply: The same to you. Abu Dawud said: Malik b. 'Adb Allah b. Dinar transmitted it in a similar manner, and al-Thawri transmitted it from 'Abd Allah b. Dinar. He said in this version: The same to you.

أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed when a Jew gives Salam to one of you, then he is only saying: 'As-Samu 'Alaikum' (Death be upon you) so say: "Alaik (And upon you).'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا فَإِنَّمَا تَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ

[Machine] "About the Prophet ﷺ, when a Jew greets you with the word 'As-salamu alaykum', he is only saying 'death be upon you,' so respond with 'wa alaykum' (and upon you). And he also mentioned once, when the Jews greet you, say 'wa alaykum' (and upon you), as they are saying 'death be upon you.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ الْيَهُودِيُّ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ وَعَلَيْكَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَهُودُ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

[Machine] Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, when the Jews greet you, they say 'as-salamu 'alaykum' (peace be upon you).’ Therefore, the Prophet ﷺ said to respond by saying 'wa 'alayka' (and upon you)’."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا عَلَيْكُمْ قَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقُلْ وَعَلَيْكَ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed when a Jew gives Salam to one of you, then he is only saying: 'As-Samu 'Alaikum' (Death be upon you) so say: "Alaik (And upon you).'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1603)

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ الْيَهُودِيُّ وَالنَّصْرَانِيُّ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكُمْ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Jews greet anyone of you they say: 'Sam'Alaika (death be upon you); so you should say; 'Wa 'Alaika (and upon you).'" (Using translation from Bukhārī 6928)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا قَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, when a Jew greets you, one of them will say to you, 'As-salamu 'alaykum,' so say to him, 'Alayka.'"

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ

'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of the Jews greets you and says, 'Poison be upon you (as-samu 'alaykum),' say, 'And on you.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكَ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ إِنَّ اليَهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمُوا عَلَيْكُمْ يَقُولُونَ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the Jews greet you, they usually say, 'As-Samu 'alaikum (Death be on you),' so you should say (in reply to them), 'Wa'alaikum (And on you). (Using translation from Bukhārī 6257)

"إِذا سَلَّمَ عليكم اليَهُودُ فإنَّما يقولُ أحدُ (هُمْ): السامُ عليكَ، فَقُلْ: وعليكَ".

"إِنَّ اليهُودَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ علَيْكُمْ أحدُهُم فَإِنَّمَا يقُولُ: السَّامُ علَيْكُم، فقولوا: وعلَيْكُم ".
