“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon us when we were washing his daughter Umm Kulthum. He said: ‘Wash her three or five times, or more than that if you think you need to, with water and lote leaves, and put camphor or a little camphor in (the water) for the last washing. When you have finished, call for me.’ When we finished, we called him, and he gave his waist-wrapper to us and said: ‘Shroud her with it.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1458)
[Machine] "That they do not associate anything with Allah" [Al-Mumtahina 12] until His saying "And do not disobey you in what is good" [Al-Mumtahina 12]. She said, there was wailing in it. She said, so I said, O Messenger of Allah, except for the family of so-and-so, as they have made me happy in the pre-Islamic era, so I must make them happy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, except for the family of so-and-so."

“I fought alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in seven campaigns, looking after their goods, making food for them, tending the wounded and looking after the sick.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2856)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me some mutton of sadaqa. I sent a piece out of that to 'A'isha. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to 'A'isha, he said: Have you anything with you (to eat)? She said: Nothing, except only that mutton sent to us by Nusaiba (the kunya of Umm 'Atiyya) which you had sent to her. Whereupon he said: It has reached its proper place. (Using translation from Muslim 1076)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them while washing her daughter: Begin with her right side, and the places where the ablution is performed. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3145)
We were forbidden accompany the biers, but it was not stressed upon us. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3167)
'No deceased person should be mourned for more than three days, except a woman should mourn for her husband for four months and ten days, and she should not wear dyed clothes, except for a garment of 'Asb, and she should not wear kohl or perfume, except at the beginning of her purity, when she may apply a little Qust and Azfar.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2087)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ meant by the pledge that we not mourn, so only five women among us fulfilled it, Umm Sulaim, the wife of Mu'adh, the daughter of Abu Sabrah, Umm Al-A'laa, and another woman.
"One of the daughters of the Prophet died, and he sent word to us saying: 'Wash her with water and lotus leaves, and wash her an odd number of times, three, or five, or seven if you think (that is needed), and put some camphor in it the last time. And when you have finished, inform me.' When we finished, we finished, we informed him, and he threw his informed him, and he threw his waist-wrap to us and said: 'Shroud her in it.' And we combed her hair and put it in three braids, and put it behind her." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1885)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ made a pledge with us and took from us an oath that we will not mourn excessively. Then, a woman from the Ansar said, "The family of so-and-so made me happy during the pre-Islamic period, and they have a special event. I will not pledge allegiance to you until I make them happy as they made me." She then said, "It seemed as if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ agreed with her on that. So, she went and made them happy, then she returned and pledged her allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ." Umm Atiyyah said, "No woman among us fulfilled her pledge except for her and Umm Sulaim bint Milhan."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made a pledge with the women that they should not shave their heads. A woman said, "O Messenger of Allah, if a woman brings happiness to me, should I not bring happiness to her?" So, she held his hand and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also held her hand, but he did not pledge allegiance to her.
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, he gathered the women of the Ansar in a house. He then sent Umar ibn Al-Khattab to them, who stood at the door and greeted them. They returned the greeting and he said, "I am the Messenger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to you. Say, 'Welcome, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Messenger.' " They said so. He then said, "Pledge to me that you will not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill your children, nor bring forth false accusations that you fabricate with your hands and feet, nor disobey in what is known." They said, "Yes." Umar extended his hand from outside the door and they extended their hands from inside. Then he said, "O Allah, bear witness." He commanded us to emancipate slaves on both of the Eid days and to forbid us from following funerals or congregating on Fridays. So, I asked him about false accusations and about His saying, "And they do not disobey you in what is known" [Surah Al-Mumtahanah: 12]. He said, "It refers to lamentations."
