[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, he gathered the women of the Ansar in a house. He then sent Umar ibn Al-Khattab to them, who stood at the door and greeted them. They returned the greeting and he said, "I am the Messenger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to you. Say, 'Welcome, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Messenger.' " They said so. He then said, "Pledge to me that you will not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill your children, nor bring forth false accusations that you fabricate with your hands and feet, nor disobey in what is known." They said, "Yes." Umar extended his hand from outside the door and they extended their hands from inside. Then he said, "O Allah, bear witness." He commanded us to emancipate slaves on both of the Eid days and to forbid us from following funerals or congregating on Fridays. So, I asked him about false accusations and about His saying, "And they do not disobey you in what is known" [Surah Al-Mumtahanah: 12]. He said, "It refers to lamentations."
