A woman asked the Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him) about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees in his dream (sexual dream). He (the Holy Prophet) said: If she experiences what a man experiences, she should take a bath.

سَأَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ فِي مَنَامِهِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ مِنْهَا مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ

that Umm Sulaym asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a woman if she had a wet dream like that of a man. He said, "If water is released then let her perform Ghusl."

أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ قَالَ: «إِذَا أَنْزَلَتِ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ۔»

"I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a woman who has a wet dream and he said: 'If she sees water, let her perform Ghusl.'"

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَحْتَلِمُ فِي مَنَامِهَا فَقَالَ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ

[AI] I heard Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib saying that my aunt Khawla bint Hakeem al-Sulamiyah asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a woman who experiences nocturnal emission, and he commanded her to perform ghusl (ritual bath).

سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ سَأَلَتْ خَالَتِي خَوْلَةُ بِنْتُ حَكِيمٍ الْسُلَمِيَّةُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَحْتَلِمُ «فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ»

[AI] I heard Ibn Umar say that Umm Sulaim, the mother of Anas ibn Malik, asked the Prophet ﷺ , "O Messenger of Allah, do women have the same kind of dreams as men?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "When a woman sees such a dream, she should take a bath."

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ سَأَلَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَهِيَ أُمُّ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تَرَى الْمَرْأَةُ فِي الْمَنَامِ مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ ذَلِكَ وَأَنْزَلَتْ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ

[AI] Khawlah bint Hakim Al-Sulamiyyah, who is one of the aunts of the Prophet ﷺ , asked the Prophet ﷺ about a woman who experiences sexual dreams. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ answered, "She should perform ablution."

أَنَّ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتَ حَكِيمٍ السُّلَمِيَّةَ وَهِيَ إِحْدَى خَالَاتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَحْتَلِمُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِتَغْتَسِلْ

"If water is released then let her perform Ghusl." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 195)

أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ؟ قَالَ «إِذَا أَنْزَلَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ»

قالت جَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إن الله لا يستحي من الحق الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ أتغتسل؟ قال نعم

[AI] Sayyidah Umm Salamah asked the Prophet ﷺ about a woman who experiences nocturnal emissions. He asked, "Does she experience desire?" She replied, "Yes." He said, "Then let her perform ghusl (ritual bath)."

أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَحْتَلِمُ فَقَالَ «تَجِدُ شَهْوَةً؟» قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ»

[AI] Khawlah bint Hakim asked the Prophet ﷺ , "O Messenger of Allah, can a woman see in her dream what a man sees?" He replied, "If she sees such a thing, she should perform ablution."
