that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There are six things due from the believer to another believer: Visiting him when he is ill, attending (his funeral) to him when he dies, accepting his invitation when he invites, giving him Salam when he meets him, replying to him when he sneezes, and wishing him well when he is absent and when he is present."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ سِتُّ خِصَالٍ يَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيَنْصَحُ لَهُ إِذَا غَابَ أَوْ شَهِدَ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْمَخْزُومِيُّ الْمَدَنِيُّ ثِقَةٌ رَوَى عَنْهُ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ  

“The Muslim has four things due from the Muslim: He should answer [by saying Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)] to him if he sneezes (and says Al-Hamdulillah); he should accept his invitation if he invites him; he should attend his funeral if he dies; and he should visit him if he falls sick.”  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ أَرْبَعُ خِلاَلٍ يُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ  

“The Muslim has the right to six acts of kindness from his fellow Muslim: he should greet him with salam when he meets him; he should say ‘Yarhamukallah (may Allah have mercy on you) when he sneezes; he should visit him when he is sick; he should respond to him when he invites him; he should attend his funeral when he dies, he should love for him what he loves for himself; and he should be sincere towards him when he is not present.ʿ It was narrated from Abu Ishaq from al-Harith... and he narrated a similar report with the same isnad.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ سِتٌّ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَامَرِضَ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ وَيُحِبُّ لَهُ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ وَيَنْصَحُ لَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: The right of a believer upon another believer are six qualities: to greet him when they meet, to say "Yarhamuk Allah" (May Allah have mercy on you) when he sneezes and says "Alhamdulillah" (Praise be to Allah), to respond to his invitation when he invites, to visit him when he is sick, to attend his funeral when he dies, and to give him sincere advice when he is absent.  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ حَقُّ الْمُؤْمِنِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ سِتُّ خِصَالٍ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ وَيُشَمِّتَهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَإِنْ دَعَاهُ أَنْ يُجِيبَهُ وَإِذَا مَرِضَ أَنْ يَعُودَهُ وَإِذَا مَاتَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَهُ وَإِذَا غَابَ أَنْ يَنْصَحَ لَهُ  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: The rights of a Muslim upon another Muslim are five: to greet him when meeting him, to say "May Allah have mercy on you" when he sneezes and says "Alhamdulillah," to visit him when he is ill, to follow his funeral procession when he dies, and to respond to his invitation when he invites.  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ حَقُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ خَمْسٌ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَيَشْهَدُ جِنَازَتَهُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ « لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ أَرْبَعُ خِلَالٍ يَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ»  

"The believer owes six duties toward his fellow believer: To visit him when he is sick, to attend his funeral when he dies, to accept his invitation, to greet him with Salam when he meets him, to reply to him (say: Yarhamuk Allah, may Allah have mercy on you) when he sneezes and to be sincere to him, whether he is absent or present." (Hasan). (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1938)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لِلْمُؤْمِنِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ سِتُّ خِصَالٍ يَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيَنْصَحُ لَهُ إِذَا غَابَ أَوْ شَهِدَ»  

"حَقُّ المُسْلِمِ عَلَى المُسْلِم خَمْسٌ: يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ، ويُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطِسَ، ويَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ، ويَشْهَدُ جَنَازَتَهُ إِذَا مَاتَ، ويُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ".  

"لِلمُؤمِن عَلَى الْمُؤِمِن سِتُّ خصَال: يَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ، وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا مَاتَ، وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ، وَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَيهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ، وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ، وَيَنْصَحُ لَهُ إِذَا غَابَ أَوْ شَهِدَ".  

"لِلمُسْلِم عَلَى المُسْلِم أَرْبَعُ خِلالٍ: يُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ, وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ، وَيُشَهدُهُ إِذَا مَاتَ، وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ".
