muslim:2162a[Chain 1] Ḥarmalah b. Yaḥyá > Ibn Wahb > Yūnus > Ibn Shihāb > Ibn al-Musayyab > Abū Hurayrah [Chain 2] ʿAbd b. Ḥumayd > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > Ibn al-Musayyab > Abū Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The rights of a Muslim over another Muslim are five.”

from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Five things are incumbent upon a Muslim toward his brother: (1) returning the greeting of peace, (2) saying ‘may Allah have mercy on you’ to one who sneezes, (3) accepting an invitation, (4) visiting the sick, and (5) following funeral processions.”

muslim:2162bYaḥyá b. Ayyūb And Qutaybah And Ibn Ḥujr > Ismāʿīl Wahū Ibn Jaʿfar > al-ʿAlāʾ from his father > Abū Hurayrah

Six are the rights of a Muslim over another Muslim. It was said to him: Messenger of Allah, what are these? Thereupon he said: When you meet him, offer him greetings;when he invites you to a feast accept it. when he seeks your council give him, and when he sneezes and says:" All praise is due to Allah," you say Yarhamuk Allah (may Allah show mercy to you) ; and when he fails ill visit him; and when he dies follow his bier.
