that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Indeed, in the black seed there is healing from every disease except al-sam;" and al-sam is death, and the black seed is shuniz."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ فِي الْحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ إِلاَّ السَّامَ»، وَالسَّامُ الْمَوْتُ، وَالْحَبَّةُ السَّوْدَاءُ الشُّونِيزُ.»

Similar to the hadith of Uqayl, and in the hadith of Sufyan and Yunus it is "the black seed," and he did not say "shuniz."

بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ عُقَيْلٍ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ وَيُونُسَ: الْحَبَّةُ السَّوْدَاءُ، وَلَمْ يَقُلِ الشُّونِيزُ.

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There is no disease except that in the black seed there is a cure for it, except death."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَا مِنْ دَاءٍ إِلاَّ فِي الْحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ مِنْهُ شِفَاءٌ، إِلاَّ السَّامَ»
