[Machine] I have never envied any woman as I have envied Khadija, and the Prophet of Allah ﷺ did not marry me until after her death, because he informed her of a house in Paradise for her, in which there is no noise or fatigue.

[Machine] "I have never been jealous of any woman as I have been jealous of Khadijah due to the frequent mention of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about her." She said, "And he married me three years after her."

nasai-kubra:8306ʿAmr b. Manṣūr > al-Ḥajjāj b. al-Minhāl > Dāwud b. Abū al-Furāt > ʿIlbāʾ > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew four lines on the ground and said, "Do you know what this is?" They said, Allah and his Messenger know best. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of women among the people of Jannah are: (1) Khadījah b. Khuwaylid, (2) Fatimah b. Muḥammad, (3) ‘Āsiyah b. Muzāḥim, the wife of Pharaoh, and (4) Maryam daughter of ‘Imran." (Using translation from Aḥmad 2668)

[Machine] "When he asked him, 'When was the last time you saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He replied, 'I don't have a chance to see him since such and such, so she understood that she could get something from me, so I said to her, 'Leave me alone, for I will not leave him until he asks forgiveness for me and asks forgiveness for you.' I prayed with him the Maghrib prayer, then he stood and prayed until he prayed the Isha prayer, then he left and I left with him. Suddenly, someone obstructed him and he disappeared from my sight.' I said, 'Huzaifah?' He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, did you see the person who obstructed me?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Indeed, he is an angel from the angels who sought permission from his Lord to greet me and to inform me that Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn are the masters of the youth of Paradise and that Fatima bint Muhammad ﷺ is the mistress of the women of the people of Paradise.'"

nasai-kubra:8308Muḥammad b. Bashhār > ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Muḥammad b. ʿAmr > Abū Salamah > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ fell ill, so Fatimah came and covered the Prophet ﷺ with a blanket. She cried, then she covered him and laughed. When the Prophet ﷺ passed away, I asked her why she cried when she covered him and she told me that when she covered him, he informed her that he was going to die from his illness, so she cried. Then when she covered him again, he informed her that she would be the first of his family to join him and that she would be the leader of the women in Paradise, except for Maryam bint Imran. So she lifted her head and laughed.

nasai-kubra:8309Muḥammad b. Rāfiʿ > Sulaymān b. Dāwud > Ibrāhīm from his father > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

The Prophet ﷺ in his fatal illness, called his daughter Fatima and told her a secret because of which she started weeping. Then he called her and told her another secret, and she started laughing. When I asked her about that, she replied, The Prophet ﷺ told me that he would die in his fatal illness, and so I wept, but then he secretly told me that from amongst his family, I would be the first to join him, and so I laughed." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3625)

nasai-kubra:8310ʿAlī b. Ḥujr > Saʿdān b. Yaḥyá > Zakariyyā > Firās > al-Shaʿbī > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

Once Fatima came walking and her gait resembled the gait of the Prophet ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ said, "Welcome, O my daughter!" Then he made her sit on his right or on his left side, and then he told her a secret and she started weeping. I asked her, "Why are you weeping?" He again told her a secret and she started laughing. I said, "I never saw happiness so near to sadness as I saw today." I asked her what the Prophet ﷺ had told her. She said, "I would never disclose the secret of Messenger of Allah ﷺ." When the Prophet ﷺ died, I asked her about it. She replied. "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Every year Gabriel used to revise the Qur'an with me once only, but this year he has done so twice. I think this portends my death, and you will be the first of my family to follow me.' So I started weeping. Then he said. 'Don't you like to be the chief of all the ladies of Paradise or the chief of the believing women? So I laughed for that." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3623)

"I have not seen anyone closer in conduct, way, and manners to that of the Messenger of Allah in regards to standing and sitting, than Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." She said "Whenever she would enter upon the Prophet ﷺ he would stand to her and kiss her, and he would sit her in his sitting place. Whenever the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her she would stand from her seat, and kiss him and sit him in her sitting place. So when the Prophet ﷺ fell sick and Fatimah entered, she bent over and kissed him. Then she lifted her head and cried, then she bent over him and she lifted her head and laughed. So I said: 'I used to think that this one was from the most intelligent of our women, but she is really just one of the women.' So when the Prophet ﷺ died, I said to her: 'Do you remember when you bent over the Prophet ﷺ and you lifted your head and cried, then you bent over him, then you lifted your head and laughed. What caused you to do that?' She said: 'Then, I would be the one who spreads the secrets. He ﷺ told me that he was to die from his illness, so I cried. Then he told me that I would be the quickest of his family to meet up with him. So that is when I laughed.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3872)

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Prophet ﷺ Abraham emigrated with Sarah and entered a village where there was a king or a tyrant. (The king) was told that Abraham had entered (the village) accompanied by a woman who was one of the most charming women. So, the king sent for Abraham and asked, 'O Abraham! Who is this lady accompanying you?' Abraham replied, 'She is my sister (i.e. in religion).' Then Abraham returned to her and said, 'Do not contradict my statement, for I have informed them that you are my sister. By Allah, there are no true believers on this land except you and 1.' Then Abraham sent her to the king. When the king got to her, she got up and performed ablution, prayed and said, 'O Allah! If I have believed in You and Your Apostle, and have saved my private parts from everybody except my husband, then please do not let this pagan overpower me.' On that the king fell in a mood of agitation and started moving his legs. Seeing the condition of the king, Sarah said, 'O Allah! If he should die, the people will say that I have killed him.' The king regained his power, and proceeded towards her but she got up again and performed ablution, prayed and said, 'O Allah! If I have believed in You and Your Apostle and have kept my private parts safe from all except my husband, then please do not let this pagan overpower me.' The king again fell in a mood of agitation and started moving his legs. On seeing that state of the king, Sarah said, 'O Allah! If he should die, the people will say that I have killed him.' The king got either two or three attacks, and after recovering from the last attack he said, 'By Allah! You have sent a satan to me. Take her to Abraham and give her Ajar.' So she came back to Abraham and said, 'Allah humiliated the pagan and gave us a slave-girl for service." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2217)

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that Ibrahim did not lie except in three instances, two of which were concerning the attributes of Allah. One was his statement, 'Indeed, I am ill' (Surah As-Saaffat, 37:89), and the other was his statement, 'Rather, this [largest of them] has done it'(Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:63). He says this when he was journeying through the land of the tyrants and oppressors, and he stopped at a certain place. A man from the tribe of the tyrants approached him and said, 'Indeed, a man has arrived here in your land, accompanied by a woman who is among the best of people. So send [a message] to him.' Ibrahim asked, 'Who is this woman?' The man replied, 'She is my sister.' Ibrahim said, 'Go and send her to me.' He then went to Sarah and said, 'This tyrant has asked me about you, so I informed him that you are my sister. Therefore, do not deny it when we come before him, for indeed you are my sister according to the Book of Allah ﷻ, and there is no Muslim on earth except for me and you.' He then took her with him and Ibrahim stood to pray. When she entered upon him, he inclined towards her and desired her. He grabbed her forcefully, and she said, 'Invoke Allah for me, and do not harm me.' So she supplicated for him and he released her. This happened twice, and on the third time, he grabbed her even harder. He then mentioned the two previous occurrences, and she said, 'Invoke Allah for me, and do not harm me.' So she supplicated for him and he released her. He then called her closer and said, 'Indeed, you have not brought me a human being, but you have brought me a shaytan. Get out and accept (her) hajj gift.' She left, and he accepted her hajj gift. When Ibrahim felt her presence, he stopped his prayer and said, 'O Satan!' She replied, 'Allah has sufficed your adversary, and Hajar has helped me.' Abdullah ibn Awf then narrated this story."

[Machine] Ibrahim ﷺ never lied except three times, two of which were about Allah Himself, when he looked at the stars and said, "I am sick" [Surah As-Saffat, verse 89], and when he said in Surah Al-Anbiya, "Rather, this one did it, their chief did" [Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 63]. He also came to a king, accompanied by a woman, and inquired about her. The king informed him that she was his sister, so Ibrahim told her, "Say to him that you are my sister, so that he may treat me better or drive you away." When Ibrahim met her, he said, "This man has asked me about you, and I have told him that you are my sister and indeed you are my sister in the Book of Allah, but there is no believer on the earth except me and you and neither me nor you other than that and that he has commanded you to come to him." She replied, "Then I will come to him." When the king looked at her, he was struck by her beauty and said, "Pray for me and for you that I do not come back to you." Ibrahim responded, "Leave him." The king tried again, but Ibrahim told her to continue refusing. The king then ordered her to be given food and provided with a maidservant named Hajar. When Ibrahim saw her, he said, "It's okay." The woman said, "May Allah protect me from the deceit of the disbelieving oppressor" and continued to serve Ibrahim. Abu Hurairah said, "That woman was your mother, O children of the people of the sky's water, and her voice made the son of 'Uwn humble."

Ayub narrated it to me, saying Wahb narrated it to him, and Hammad ibn Zaid narrated it to him, from Ayub, from Abdullah ibn Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from his father, from Ibn Abbas, something like that, and he did not mention Ubay or the Prophet ﷺ . Wahb said, 'So I went to Salamah ibn Abi Muti', and he narrated this hadith to me, and he narrated it from Hammad ibn Zaid, from Ayub, from Abdullah ibn Sa'id ibn Jubayr, and he strongly rejected that, and then he said to me, 'What does your father say?' I said, 'My father says it is narrated by Ayub from Sa'id ibn Jubayr.' He said, 'By Allah, it is strange that this man, who is one of our memorizers, has made a mistake.' [Machine] "O Ibrahim, where are you going, leaving us in this valley that has no company or anything?" She said to him repeatedly, but he did not turn to her. She then asked him, "Did Allah command you to do this?" He said, "Yes." She said, "Then He will not let us perish." Then she returned, and Ibrahim set off facing the Kaaba, and he made the following supplication, raising his hands: "Indeed, I have settled my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred house, O Allah, [our Lord], that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful." (Quran 14:37) Then Ismail's mother breastfed and nursed Ismail until the water in the water-skin was depleted, causing her and her son to thirst and hunger. She disliked looking at her child in that state. She then saw Mount Safa closest to her, so she ascended it and looked to see if anyone was there. When she saw no one, she descended and walked briskly until she reached the valley, raising the edges of her dress to protect herself. She did this seven times. Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet ﷺ said, "That is why the people run between them." When she descended from Mount Marwah, she heard a voice, so she said, "Stay here, if you will" and listened again. When she heard nothing, she said, "I have heard you. If you have any means of assistance, then help us." Then she heard the sound again. She said, "Indeed, I have [now] perceived that I am being pursued." She hurried to the mountain and upon reaching it, she looked to see if anyone was there, but she found no one. She did this seven times. Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah have mercy on the mother of Ismail; if she had left the water flowing, it would have been a flowing stream." So she drank from it and nursed her child. The angel said to her, "Do not fear of being lost, for there is a house of Allah that will be constructed by this boy and his father, and Allah will never abandon them." The house was at a higher elevation than the surrounding land, like a fixed and firm mountain. Streams flowed from it on both sides. They lived in this manner until a group or a tribe passed by and saw birds circling above a specific location. They said, "There must be water there, this is the site we have been searching for." They sent someone, and behold, there was indeed water. They informed Ismail's family about it, and they settled there. Ismail grew up and learned Arabic from them. He amazed them with his intelligence. When he reached marriageable age, they married him to a woman from their tribe. Ismail's mother passed away.

When Abraham had differences with his wife), (because of her jealousy of Hajar, Ishmael's mother), he took Ishmael and his mother and went away. They had a water-skin with them containing some water, Ishmael's mother used to drink water from the water-skin so that her milk would increase for her child. When Abraham reached Mecca, he made her sit under a tree and afterwards returned home. Ishmael's mother followed him, and when they reached Kada', she called him from behind, 'O Abraham! To whom are you leaving us?' He replied, '(I am leaving you) to Allah's (Care).' She said, 'I am satisfied to be with Allah.' She returned to her place and started drinking water from the water-skin, and her milk increased for her child. When the water had all been used up, she said to herself, 'I'd better go and look so that I may see somebody.' She ascended the Safa mountain and looked, hoping to see somebody, but in vain. When she came down to the valley, she ran till she reached the Marwa mountain. She ran to and fro (between the two mountains) many times. They she said to herself, 'i'd better go and see the state of the child,' she went and found it in a state of one on the point of dying. She could not endure to watch it dying and said (to herself), 'If I go and look, I may find somebody.' She went and ascended the Safa mountain and looked for a long while but could not find anybody. Thus she completed seven rounds (of running) between Safa and Marwa. Again she said (to herself), 'I'd better go back and see the state of the child.' But suddenly she heard a voice, and she said to that strange voice, 'Help us if you can offer any help.' Lo! It was Gabriel (who had made the voice). Gabriel hit the earth with his heel like this (Ibn ʿAbbas hit the earth with his heel to Illustrate it), and so the water gushed out. Ishmael's mother was astonished and started digging. (Abu Al-Qasim) (i.e. the Prophet) said, "If she had left the water, (flow naturally without her intervention), it would have been flowing on the surface of the earth.") Ishmael's mother started drinking from the water and her milk increased for her child . Afterwards some people of the tribe of Jurhum, while passing through the bottom of the valley, saw some birds, and that astonished them, and they said, 'Birds can only be found at a place where there is water.' They sent a messenger who searched the place and found the water, and returned to inform them about it. Then they all went to her and said, 'O ishmael's mother! Will you allow us to be with you (or dwell with you)?' (And thus they stayed there.) Later on her boy reached the age of puberty and married a lady from them. Then an idea occurred to Abraham which he disclosed to his wife (Sarah), 'I want to call on my dependents I left (at Mecca).' When he went there, he greeted (Ishmael's wife) and said, 'Where is Ishmael?' She replied, 'He has gone out hunting.' Abraham said (to her), 'When he comes, tell him to change the threshold of his gate.' When he came, she told him the same whereupon Ishmael said to her, 'You are the threshold, so go to your family (i.e. you are divorced).' Again Abraham thought of visiting his dependents whom he had left (at Mecca), and he told his wife (Sarah) of his intentions. Abraham came to Ishmael's house and asked. "Where is Ishmael?" Ishmael's wife replied, "He has gone out hunting," and added, "Will you stay (for some time) and have something to eat and drink?' Abraham asked, 'What is your food and what is your drink?' She replied, 'Our food is meat and our drink is water.' He said, 'O Allah! Bless their meals and their drink." Abu Al-Qa-sim (i.e. Prophet) said, "Because of Abraham's invocation there are blessings (in Mecca)." Once more Abraham thought of visiting his family he had left (at Mecca), so he told his wife (Sarah) of his decision. He went and found Ishmael behind the Zamzam well, mending his arrows. He said, "O Ishmael, Your Lord has ordered me to build a house for Him." Ishmael said, "Obey (the order of) your Lord." Abraham said, "Allah has also ordered me that you should help me therein." Ishmael said, "Then I will do." So, both of them rose and Abraham started building (the Kaʿba) while Ishmael went on handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, "O our Lord ! Accept (this service) from us, Verily, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." (2.127). When the building became high and the old man (i.e. Abraham) could no longer lift the stones (to such a high position), he stood over the stone of Al- Maqam and Ishmael carried on handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, 'O our Lord! Accept (this service) from us, Verily You are All-Hearing, All-Knowing." (2.127) (Using translation from Bukhārī 3365)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The believing sisters are Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , and Ummul Fadl, the daughter of Al-Harith, and Salma, the wife of Hamzah, and Asma, the daughter of 'Umays, their mother's sister."

My brother and I came from Yemen (to Medina) and remained for some time, thinking that Ibn Masud and his mother belonged to the family of the Prophet ﷺ because of their frequent entrance (upon the Prophet) and their being attached to him. (Using translation from Bukhārī 4384)

[Machine] Asma, the daughter of Umays, entered upon Hafsa, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , as a visitor. She had migrated to Ethiopia with those who had migrated there before. Umar also entered upon Hafsa and Asma was with her. When Umar saw Asma, he asked, "Who is this?" Asma replied, "I am Asma, the daughter of Umays." Umar then said, "Is this the Abyssinian? The one from the sea?" Asma replied, "Yes." Umar said, "We preceded you in migrating, and we are more entitled to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than you are." This made Asma angry, and she replied, "No, by Allah! You were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he fed your hungry and taught your ignorant, while we were in a land of disbelief and hatred, in Abyssinia. And that was with the permission of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ . By Allah, I will not eat any food or drink any drink until I mention what you said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . We were persecuted and afraid, so I will mention that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . By Allah, I will not lie or exaggerate about it." When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came, Asma said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Umar said this and that." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What did you say?" Asma replied, "I said this and that." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Umar is not more entitled to me than you all. He and his companions had one migration, and you, the people of the ship, had two migrations." Abu Burdah said, "Asma said that she saw Abu Musa and that he was eager to hear this hadith from her."
