38.148 [Machine] The ritual ablution of someone in a state of major ritual impurity when they want to drink

٣٨۔١٤٨ وُضُوءِ الْجُنُبِ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ

"If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu', and if he wanted to eat or drink," she said: "he would wash his hands and then eat or drink." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 257)   

الكبرى للنسائي:٦٨٥٤أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَيَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ»
