38.27 [Machine] Barley bread

٣٨۔٢٧ خُبْزُ الشَّعِيرِ

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ was brought bread made from barley with grease on it, so they started eating it. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Indeed, goodness is the best of the hereafter.'"  

الكبرى للنسائي:٦٦٠٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِخُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ عَلَيْهِ إِهَالَةٌ سَنِخَةٌ فَجَعَلُوا يَأْكُلُونَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرُ الْآخِرَةِ»

The family of Muhammad had not eaten wheat bread to their satisfaction for three consecutive days since his arrival at Medina till he died. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5416)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٦٦٠٣أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«مَا شَبِعَ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ مُنْذُ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ مِنْ طَعَامٍ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ تِبَاعًا حَتَّى قُبِضَ»
