I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "If a slave-girl of yours commits illegal sexual intercourse and her illegal sexual intercourse is proved, she should be lashed, and after that nobody should blame her, and if she commits illegal sexual intercourse the second time, she should be lashed and nobody should blame her after that, and if she does the offense for the third time and her illegal sexual intercourse is proved, she should be sold even for a hair rope."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا زَنَتْ أَمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ وَلاَ يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ وَلاَ يُثَرِّبْ ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتِ الثَّالِثَةَ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا فَلْيَبِعْهَا وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ مِنْ شَعَرٍ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the slave-girl, if she was a virgin and committed illegal sexual intercourse. The Prophet ﷺ said, "If she committed illegal sexual intercourse, lash her, and if she did it a second time, then lash her again, and if she repeated the third time, then sell her even for a hair rope." Ibn Shihab said, "I don't know whether to sell her after the third or fourth offense."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الأَمَةِ إِذَا زَنَتْ وَلَمْ تُحْصِنْ قَالَ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَبِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ لاَ أَدْرِي بَعْدَ الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ

When the slave-woman of any of you commits adultery and this (offence of hers) becomes clear, she should be flogged (as the prescribed) punishment, but hurl no reproach at her. If she commits adultery again, she should (again be punished) by flogging, but hurl no reproach upon her. If she commits fornication for the third time and it becomes clear, then he should sell her, even if only for a rope of hair.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a slave-woman who commits fornication, and she is not married: If she commits fornication, flog her: if she commits fornication again flog her; if only for a rope of hair (dafir). Ibn Shihab: I do not know whether he (the Prophet) said it is a third or a fourth time. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4469)

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If any of your female slaves commit adultery, flog them. If they commit adultery again, flog them. If they commit adultery a third time, flog them. And if they commit adultery again, then sell them, even if it is with a rope made of hair."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا زَنَتْ أَمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ وَلَا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ وَلَا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِنْ زَنَتِ الثَّالِثَةَ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا فَلْيَبِعْهَا وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ مِنْ شَعْرٍ»

[Machine] From the Prophet, ﷺ , he said, "If one of you's slave woman commits adultery, then he should punish her (by lashing), and not harm her. If she commits adultery again, then he should punish her (by lashing) again. And if she commits adultery again, then he should sell her, even if it is with a rope made of hair or braids made of hair."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا زَنَتْ أَمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا وَلَا يُعَنِّفْهَا فَإِنْ زَنَتْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا فَإِنْ زَنَتْ فَلْيَبِعْهَا وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ مِنْ شَعْرٍ أَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ مِنْ شَعْرٍ»

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ said, "If the slave girl of one of you commits adultery, then he should flog her. If she commits adultery again, then he should flog her. And do not revile her, for if she commits adultery again, then he should sell her, even if it is for a strand of hair."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا زَنَتْ أَمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا فَإِنْ زَنَتْ فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا وَلَا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا فَإِنْ زَنَتْ فَلْيَبِعْهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "If the slave woman of any of you commits adultery, then let him ascertain her adultery, then let him lash her with one hundred lashes and let there be no compassion for her. If she commits adultery again, then let him lash her with one hundred lashes and there be no compassion for her. If she commits adultery for the third time, then let him ascertain her adultery, then let him sell her, even for a rope of hair."

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال إذا زنت أمة أحدكم فليجلدها ثُمَّ إن زنت فليبعها ولو بضفير عبد الرحمن بن وردان عن الْمَقْبُرِيّ عَن أبي هُرَيرة

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إذا زنت أمة أحدكم فليجلدها ثُمَّ إن زنت فليبيعها ولو بضفيروهذا الحديث يرويه الثقات عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عن عُبَيد الله عَن أبي هُرَيرة وزيد بن خالد

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إذا زنت أمة أحدكم فليجلدها وإذا زنت فليجلدها ثلاثًا ثُمَّ بيعوها ولو بحبل

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إذا زنت أمة أحدكم فليجلدها ثُمَّ إن زنت فليجلدها ثُمَّ إن زنت فليبعها ولو بضفيروَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ سُفيان عَن حبيب عَن أبي صالح عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ معاوية بن هشام

الله عليه وسلم قال إذا زنت أمة أحدكم فليجلدها ثم إن زنت فليجلدها ثم إن زنت في الثالثة أو الرابعة فليبعها ولو بضفيروهذا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عن مُجاهد عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا أبو يحيى القتات ولا عن أبي يحيى إلا كامل وقد روي عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ من وجوه

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If a slave-girl commits illegal sexual intercourse and it is proved beyond doubt, then her owner should lash her and should not blame her after the legal punishment. And then if she repeats the illegal sexual intercourse he should lash her again and should not blame her after the legal punishment, and if she commits it a third time, then he should sell her even for a hair rope." "إِذَا زَنَتْ أمةُ أحدكم، فتَبَّين زناها فليجلدْها الحدَّ، ولا يُثرِّب عليها، ثم إن زنت فليَجْلِدْهَا الحدِّ ولا يُثَرِّب عليها، ثم إن زَنَتْ الثالثَة فَليَبِعْهَا ولو بِحَبْلٍ من شَعْرٍ".

"إِذَا زنتْ الأمة فاجلدوها، فإن زنتْ فاجلدوها ثم إن زنت فَبِيعُوها ولو بضفيرٍ".

"إِذَا زنت أمة أحدكم فَليَجَلِدْهَا ولا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيهَا، فإِنَ عَادَتَ فَليَجِلدهَا فإِنْ عادت فَليَبِعْهَا ولو بضفيرِ من شَعْرٍ".

"إِذَا زنت أمةُ أحدِكم فَليَجْلِدْها، ولا يُعيِّرها، ولا يُفنِّدْها، ثم إِن زنتْ فَليَجْلِدْهَا ولا يعيِّرها ولا يُفَنِّدْها ثم إن زنت الثالثَة فَليَبِعْهَا ولو بحبل من شعْرٍ".
