I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "None of you should fast on Friday unless he fasts a day before or after it."  

البخاري:١٩٨٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا بِشْرٍ هَذَا لَمْ أَقِفْ عَلَى اسْمِهِ وَلَيْسَ بِبَيَانِ ابْنِ بِشْرٍ وَلَا بِجَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ وَشَاهِدٌ هَذَا بِغَيْرِ هَذَا اللَّفْظِ مُخَرَّجٌ فِي الْكِتَابَيْنِ

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ صَوْمَ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مُبَاحٌ إِذَا صَامَ الْمَرْءُ مَعَهُ الْخَمِيسَ أَوِ السَّبْتَ
