The Prophet ﷺ said, "A single endeavor (of fighting) in Allah's Cause in the afternoon or in the forenoon is better than all the world and whatever is in it. A place in Paradise as small as the bow or lash of one of you is better than all the world and whatever is in it. And if a houri from Paradise appeared to the people of the earth, she would fill the space between Heaven and the Earth with light and pleasant scent and her head cover is better than the world and whatever is in it."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَرَوْحَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ غَدْوَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قِيدٍ يَعْنِي سَوْطَهُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ اطَّلَعَتْ إِلَى أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ لأَضَاءَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَمَلأَتْهُ رِيحًا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

Um Ar-Rubai'bint Al-Bara', the mother of Hartha bin Suraqa came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Allah's Prophet! Will you tell me about Hartha?" Hartha has been killed (i.e. martyred) on the day of Badr with an arrow thrown by an unidentified person. She added, "If he is in Paradise, I will be patient; otherwise, I will weep bitterly for him." He said, "O mother of Hartha! There are Gardens in Paradise and your son got the Firdausal-ala (i.e. the best place in Paradise).

أَنَّ أُمَّ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتَ الْبَرَاءِ وَهْىَ أُمُّ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ سُرَاقَةَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَلاَ تُحَدِّثُنِي عَنْ حَارِثَةَ وَكَانَ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ غَرْبٌ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ اجْتَهَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْبُكَاءِ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ ابْنَكِ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الأَعْلَى

Haritha was martyred on the day (of the battle) of Badr, and he was a young boy then. His mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! You know how dear Haritha is to me. If he is in Paradise, I shall remain patient, and hope for reward from Allah, but if it is not so, then you shall see what I do?" He said, "May Allah be merciful to you! Have you lost your senses? Do you think there is only one Paradise? There are many Paradises and your son is in the (most superior) Paradise of Al- Firdaus."

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا ؓ يَقُولُ أُصِيبَ حَارِثَةُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَهْوَ غُلاَمٌ فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ عَرَفْتَ مَنْزِلَةَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّي فَإِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِنْ تَكُ الأُخْرَى تَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ وَيْحَكِ أَوَهَبِلْتِ أَوَجَنَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ هِيَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّهُ فِي جَنَّةِ الْفِرْدَوْسِ

Haritha was martyred on the day (of the battle) of Badr while he was young. His mother came to the Prophet ﷺ saying, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! You know the relation of Haritha to me (how fond of him I was); so, if he is in Paradise, I will remain patient and wish for Allah's reward, but if he is not there, then you will see what I will do." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "May Allah be merciful upon you! Have you gone mad? (Do you think) it is one Paradise? There are many Paradises and he is in the (most superior) Paradise of Al-Firdaus."

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ أُصِيبَ حَارِثَةُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَهْوَ غُلاَمٌ فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ عَرَفْتَ مَنْزِلَةَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّي فَإِنْ يَكُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِنْ تَكُنِ الأُخْرَى تَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ وَيْحَكِ أَوَهَبِلْتِ أَوَجَنَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ هِيَ جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي جَنَّةِ الْفِرْدَوْسِ

Um (the mother of) Haritha came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ after Haritha had been martyred on the Day (of the battle) of Badr by an arrow thrown by an unknown person. She said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! You know the position of Haritha in my heart (i.e. how dear to me he was), so if he is in Paradise, I will not weep for him, or otherwise, you will see what I will do." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Are you mad? Is there only one Paradise? There are many Paradises, and he is in the highest Paradise of Firdaus." The Prophet added, "A forenoon journey or an after noon journey in Allah's Cause is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and a place equal to an arrow bow of anyone of you, or a place equal to a foot in Paradise is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and if one of the women of Paradise looked at the earth, she would fill the whole space between them (the earth and the heaven) with light, and would fill whatever is in between them, with perfume, and the veil of her face is better than the whole world and whatever is in it."

أَنَّ أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ هَلَكَ حَارِثَةُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَصَابَهُ غَرْبُ سَهْمٍ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَوْقِعَ حَارِثَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِي فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَمْ أَبْكِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِلاَّ سَوْفَ تَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ لَهَا هَبِلْتِ أَجَنَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ هِيَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الأَعْلَى (وَقَالَ غَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قَدَمٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ اطَّلَعَتْ إِلَى الأَرْضِ لأَضَاءَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَمَلأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا يَعْنِي الْخِمَارَ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا)

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "To go out in the cause of Allah in the morning, or the afternoon, is better than the world and what is in it. And the space that a bow of one of you - or the space that his hand - would occupy in Paradise is better than the world and what is in it. And if a woman among the women inhabiting Paradise were to appear to the people of the earth, then she would illuminate what is between the ( the heavens and the earth), and a pleasant scent would fill up what is between them, and the scarf on her head is better than the world and what is in it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ يَدِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ اطَّلَعَتْ إِلَى الأَرْضِ لأَضَاءَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَمَلأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

that Ar-Rubai' bint An-Nadr came to the Prophet ﷺ - and her son Harithah bin Suraqah had been killed on the Day of Badr, having been struck by an arrow, shot by an unknown person - so she came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "Inform me about Harithah. If he has reached goodness, I shall be forbearing and patient. If he has not reached goodness, I will struggle supplicating for him." So Allah's Prophet ﷺ said: "O Umm Harithah! There are gardens in Paradise, and verily your son Harithah has reached the highest part of Paradise, and Al-Firdaws is the highest part of Paradise, its most center and best."

أَنَّ الرُّبَيِّعَ بِنْتَ النَّضْرِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَكَانَ ابْنُهَا حَارِثَةُ بْنُ سُرَاقَةَ أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ غَرَبٌ فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ حَارِثَةَ لَئِنْ كَانَ أَصَابَ خَيْرًا احْتَسَبْتُ وَصَبَرْتُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبِ الْخَيْرَ اجْتَهَدْتُ فِي الدُّعَاءِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ فِي جَنَّةٍ وَإِنَّ ابْنَكِ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الأَعْلَى وَالْفِرْدَوْسُ رَبْوَةُ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَوْسَطُهَا وَأَفْضَلُهَا قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَنَسٍ

[AI] That Harithah went out as a lookout and an arrow came and killed him. His mother said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have come to know the location of Harithah from me. If he is in paradise, then I will be patient, and if not, you will see what I will do." He said, "O mother of Harithah, indeed paradise is not one garden, but there are many gardens. And indeed Harithah is in the best of them, or he said, in the highest level of Paradise, with doubt, it increases."

أَنَّ حَارِثَةَ خَرَجَ نَظَّارًا فَأَتَاهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ عَرَفْتَ مَوْقِعَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّي فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ وَإِلَّا رَأَيْتَ مَا أَصْنَعُ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِجَنَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَلَكِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ لَفِي أَفْضَلِهَا أَوْ قَالَ فِي أَعَلَى الْفِرْدَوْسِ شَكَّ يَزِيدُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْرَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قَدِّهِ يَعْنِي سَوْطَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَوِ اطَّلَعَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ لَمَلَأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا وَلَطَابَ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, if Haritha has attained goodness, if not, I have cried a lot." He said, "O mother of Haritha, it is many gardens, and indeed he is in the highest Paradise."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنْ كَانَ حَارِثَةُ أَصَابَ خَيْرًا وَإِلَّا أَكْثَرْتُ الْبُكَاءَ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى

[AI] Harithah, my cousin's son, set off on a mission and was struck by an arrow, killing him. His mother then went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if my son Harithah is in Paradise, then I have patience and seek rewards." He replied, "O mother of Harithah, indeed there are many gardens and Harithah is in the highest level of Paradise."

انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ ابْنُ عَمَّتِي نَظَّارًا مَا انْطَلَقَ لِلْقِتَالِ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنِي حَارِثَةُ إِنْ يَكُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى

[AI] Indeed, Umm al-Rubayi' came to the Prophet ﷺ while she was the mother of Haritha bin Suraaqah. She said, "O Prophet of Allah, will you not tell me about Haritha?" He replied, "If he is in Paradise, then I am patient. If he is not, then I exert myself in weeping for him." She said, "O mother of Haritha, it is the gardens in Paradise, and your son has reached the highest level of Paradise, Al-Firdaus." Qatadah said, "And Al-Firdaus is the elevated and most excellent part of Paradise."

إِنَّ أُمَّ الرُّبَيِّعِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهِيَ أُمُّ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ سُرَاقَةَ فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَلَا تُحَدِّثُنِي عَنْ حَارِثَةَ؟ وَكَانَ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ غَرْبٌ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِيالْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ اَجْتَهَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْبُكَاءَ فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ ابْنَكِ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ قَتَادَةُ وَالْفِرْدَوْسُ رَبْوَةُ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَوْسَطُهَا وَأَفْضَلُهَا

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, you have surely known my status with Haritha. If he is among the people of Paradise, then I will be patient. Otherwise, Allah will see what I will do." He replied, "O mother of Haritha, Paradise is not just one, but it is numerous gardens. And indeed, he is in the highest level of Paradise."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَكَانَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّي فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَسَأَصْبِرُ وَإِلَّا فَسَيَرَى اللهُ مَا أَصْنَعُ قَالَ فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِجَنَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَلَكِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى

[AI] Haritha, my cousin's son, set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of the Battle of Badr as a young boy with spectacles. When he set out for battle, he was struck by an arrow and killed. His mother, my cousin, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if my son Haritha is in paradise, then I will be patient and anticipate rewards. But if not, then Allah will see what I will do." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O mother of Haritha, there are many gardens and Haritha is in the highest paradise, al-Firdaus."

انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ ابْنُ عَمَّتِي يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ غُلَامًا نَظَّارًا مَا انْطَلَقَ لِلْقِتَالِ قَالَ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ قَالَ فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّهُ عَمَّتِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنِي حَارِثَةُ إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِلَّا فَسَيَرَى اللهُ مَا أَصْنَعُ؟ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى

[AI] Haritha was injured on the day of Badr, so his mother said, "O Prophet of Allah, if my son enters Paradise, then I will not cry for him, otherwise I will cry a lot for him." He said, "O mother of Haritha, there are many gardens in Paradise, and Haritha has reached the highest level of Paradise, Al-Firdaus."

كَانَ حَارِثَةُ أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَتْأُمُّ حَارِثَةَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنْ كَانَ ابْنِي أَصَابَ الْجَنَّةَ وَإِلَّا أَجْهَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْبُكَاءَ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ فِي جَنَّةٍ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الْأَعْلَى

[AI] Haritha, my cousin's son, departed on the day of Badr wearing armor to engage in battle. He was struck by an arrow and killed. My aunt came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my son Haritha, if he is in paradise, I will have patience and hope for reward. Otherwise, you will see what I will do." The Messenger of Allah replied, "O mother of Haritha, there are many gardens in paradise, and Haritha is in the highest level of paradise, Al-Firdaus."

انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ ابْنُ عَمَّتِي نَظَّارًا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَمَا انْطَلَقَ لِقِتَالٍ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ فَجَاءَتْ عَمَّتِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْنِي حَارِثَةُ إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِلَّا فَتَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ «يَا أُمِّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى»

[AI] Harithah, the son of my aunt, set off with an armor on the day of Badr when he left for battle. He was struck by an arrow and killed. Then my aunt, his mother, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if my son Harithah is in Paradise, I will be patient and content. Otherwise, you will see what I will do." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O mother of Harithah, there are many gardens in Paradise, and Harithah is in the highest level of Paradise, Al-Firdaus."

انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ بْنُ عَمَّتِي نَظَّارًا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مَا انْطَلَقَ لِقِتَالٍ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ فَجَاءَتْ عَمَّتِي أُمُّهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْنِي حَارِثَةُ إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِلَّا فَسَتَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى»

Um (the mother of) Haritha came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ after Haritha had been martyred on the Day (of the battle) of Badr by an arrow thrown by an unknown person. She said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! You know the position of Haritha in my heart (i.e. how dear to me he was), so if he is in Paradise, I will not weep for him, or otherwise, you will see what I will do." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Are you mad? Is there only one Paradise? There are many Paradises, and he is in the highest Paradise of Firdaus." The Prophet added, "A forenoon journey or an after noon journey in Allah's Cause is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and a place equal to an arrow bow of anyone of you, or a place equal to a foot in Paradise is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and if one of the women of Paradise looked at the earth, she would fill the whole space between them (the earth and the heaven) with light, and would fill whatever is in between them, with perfume, and the veil of her face is better than the whole world and whatever is in it." أَنَّ أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَدْ هَلَكَ حَارِثَةُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمُ غَرْبٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَوْقِعَ حَارِثَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِي فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَمْ أَبْكِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِلَّا سَوْفَ تَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ لَهَا ﷺ «أَجَنَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ هِيَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى»

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "To go out in the cause of Allah in the morning, or the afternoon, is better than the world and what is in it. And the space that a bow of one of you - or the space that his hand - would occupy in Paradise is better than the world and what is in it. And if a woman among the women inhabiting Paradise were to appear to the people of the earth, then she would illuminate what is between the ( the heavens and the earth), and a pleasant scent would fill up what is between them, and the scarf on her head is better than the world and what is in it." أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «غَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ مَوْضِعُ قَدَمٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً اطَّلَعَتْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ لَأَضَاءَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَمَلَأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا»

أَنَّ الرُّبَيِّعَ بِنْتَ النَّضْرِ أَتَتْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يارسول اللَّهِ إِنَّ ابْنِي حَارِثَةَ أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ نَظَّارًا فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ وَاحْتَسَبْتُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ اجْتَهَدْتُ فِي الْبُكَاءِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ فِي جَنَّةٍ وَإِنَّهُ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الأَعْلَى وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ إلاَّ قَتَادَةُ عَن أَنَس

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, you have known the status of Haritha from me. If he is among the people of paradise, then I will be patient. But if not, then you will see what I will do." He said, "O Umm Haritha, it is not just one paradise, but there are many gardens, and he is in the highest level of paradise." She said, "Then I will be patient."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَكَانَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّي فَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَسَأَصْبِرُ وَإِلَّا فَسَتَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ قَالَ «يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِجَنَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَلَكِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَهُوَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى» قَالتْ فَسَأَصْبِرُ

[AI] Harithah died on the Day of Uhud. He was struck by an arrow and his mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if he is in Paradise, then I will not cry over him. But if he is in Hellfire, then Allah will see what I will do." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, he is in Paradise, and verily, he is in the highest level of Paradise."

هَلَكَ حَارِثَةُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَأَتَتْ أُمُّهُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَمْ أَبْكِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي النَّارِ فَسَيَرَى اللهُ مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى»

[AI] "Indeed, Rubayyah bintu al-Nadhir came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, my son Harithah was martyred on the Day of Badr. If he is in Paradise, I will have patience and seek reward. If not, I will weep and grieve.' The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'O mother of Harithah, it is gardens within Paradise, and he has surely attained the highest part of Firdaus.'"

أَنَّ الرُّبَيِّعَ بِنْتَ النَّضْرِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ ابْنِي حَارِثَةَ أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ وَاحْتَسَبْتُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ اجْتَهَدْتُ فِي الْبُكَاءِ فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ فِي جَنَّةٍ وَإِنَّهُ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الْأَعْلَى»

[AI] That Umm Haritha came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Haritha had died on the day of Badr and was struck by an arrow. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, you knew the status of Haritha in my heart, so if he is in Paradise, I will not cry over him, otherwise you will see what I will do." He said to her, "Are there not just one or multiple gardens? Indeed, there are many gardens and surely he is in the highest Firdaws."

أَنَّ أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ هَلَكَ حَارِثَةُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمُ غَرْبٍ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَوْقِعَ حَارِثَةَ مِنْ قَلْبِي فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَمْ أَبْكِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِلَّا فَسَوْفَ تَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ لَهَا «هُبِلْتِ أوَ جَنَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ؟ هِيَ إِنَّهَا لَجِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى»

[AI] Haritha, the cousin of my aunt, set off on the day of Badr wearing armor when he went out to fight. He was struck by an arrow that killed him. My aunt, his mother, came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if my son Haritha is in Paradise, then be patient and have hope. If not, you will see what I will do." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O mother of Haritha, there are many gardens in Paradise, and Haritha is in the highest level of Paradise, Al-Firdaus."

انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ ابْنُ عَمَّتِي نَظَّارًا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مَا انْطَلَقَ لِقِتَالٍ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ فَجَاءَتْ عَمَّتِي أُمَّهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنِي حَارِثَةَ إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِلَّا فَسَتَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ «إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى»

Um Ar-Rubai'bint Al-Bara', the mother of Hartha bin Suraqa came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Allah's Prophet! Will you tell me about Hartha?" Hartha has been killed (i.e. martyred) on the day of Badr with an arrow thrown by an unidentified person. She added, "If he is in Paradise, I will be patient; otherwise, I will weep bitterly for him." He said, "O mother of Hartha! There are Gardens in Paradise and your son got the Firdausal-ala (i.e. the best place in Paradise). (Using translation from Bukhārī 2809)

أَنَّ أُمَّ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتَ الْبَرَاءِ وَهِيَ أُمُّ حَارِثَةَ بِنْتُ سُرَاقَةَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَلَا تُخْبِرُنِي عَنْ حَارِثَةَ؟ وَكَانَ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ غَرْبٌ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ صَبَرْتُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ اجْتَهَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْبُكَاءَ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ ابْنَكِ أَصَابَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ قَتَادَةُ الْفِرْدَوْسُ رَبْوَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَوْسَطُهَا وَأَفْضَلُهَا

"لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أوْ رَوْحةٌ خَيرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ أوْ مَوْضِعُ قَدِّه -يَعْنِي سَوْطَهُ- فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، وَلَو اطَّلَعَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَاءِ أهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَى الأرْضِ بَمَلأَتْ مَا بَينَهُمَا رِيحًا، وَلأَضَاءَت مَا بَينَهمَا، وَلَنَصِيفهَا عَلَى رَأسِهَا خَيرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا".

" يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ: إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِجَنَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَلَكِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرةٌ، وَإنَّ حَارِثَةَ لَفِى الفِرْدَوسِ الأعْلَى ".

"عَنْ أنَسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عَمَّتِى حَارِثَةُ انْطَلَقَ مَعَ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ، فَانْطَلَقَ غُلاَمًا نَطارًا مَا انْطَلَقَ لِقِتَالٍ، فَأصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ، فَجَاءَتْ عَمَّتِى أُمُّهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ الله ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ الله ابْنِى حَارِثَة إِنْ يَكُ فِى الجَنَّة صَبَرْتُ وَاحْتَسَبْتُ، وَإِلا فَسَتَرَى مَا أصْنَعُ، فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ: إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثيرَةٌ، وَإِنًّ حَارِثَةَ فِى الفِرْدَوْسِ الأعْلَى".

"أنَّ حَارِثَةَ بْنَ الرُّبَيَّعِ جَاءَ نَظارًا يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَكَانَ غُلَامًا، فَأَصَابَهُ سهم عزب، فَوَقَعَ فِى ثَغْرَةِ نَحْرِهِ فقَتَلَهُ، فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّهُ الرُّبَيَّعُ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ الله قَدْ عَلمْتَ مَكَانَ حَارِثَةَ مِنِّى، فَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَسَأَصْبِرْ وإِلَّا فَسَتَرى مَا أَصْنَعُ، قَالَ: يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِجَنَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَلَكِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، وَهِىَ فِى الْفِرْدَوْسِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَتْ: فَسَأَصْبِرُ".
