41. Chapter of Rā (Female)
[Machine] "Indeed, Rubayyah bintu al-Nadhir came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, my son Harithah was martyred on the Day of Badr. If he is in Paradise, I will have patience and seek reward. If not, I will weep and grieve.' The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'O mother of Harithah, it is gardens within Paradise, and he has surely attained the highest part of Firdaus.'"
[Machine] "On a certain day, Abdullah, you and your child kept me busy, so I couldn't give any charity with you. He asked, 'What if you were to receive the reward for both?' They asked the Prophet ﷺ about it and he said, 'You will receive the reward for what you have spent on them.'"
[Machine] "I do not like it if you do not have any reward in doing so," so she asked the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , while she was in this state. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a woman with a skill that I seek to earn by, but I and my husband do not have anything, nor do my children. They keep me busy, so I cannot give in charity." He said, "You will have a reward for whatever you spend on them."
[Machine] Narrated by Abdullah bin Maslamah Al-Qa'nabi, my father told me, from Hisham bin Urwah, from his father, from Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah, from Ra'itah, the wife of Abdullah bin Mas'ud. She was a crafts-woman and Abdullah bin Mas'ud had no wealth. She would spend on him and his child from the proceeds of her craft. She said, "By Allah, you and your child have kept me occupied from giving in charity. I am unable to give anything with you." He said, "I would not like it if you did not have any reward in that, if you were to give in charity." So, she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "You will have a reward for that."
[Machine] I asked the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I am a woman with a skill that I seek to earn with, and I have nothing for me nor for my husband, nor for my children who distract me, so I do not give charity." He said, "You will have a reward for what you spend on them."
