41. Chapter of Rā (Female)
٤١۔ بَابُ الرَّاءِ
[Machine] We were in the city on the day of Ashura, and the slave girls were beating the duff and singing. Then spring came upon us, so we mentioned it to her. She said, "The messenger of Allah, ﷺ , entered upon me on the morning of my wedding and I had two slave girls who were singing and lamenting my fathers who were killed in Badr, and they were saying…"
كُنَّا بِالْمَدِينَةِ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَالْجَوَارِي يَضْرِبْنَ بِالدُّفِّ ويُغَنِّينَ فَدَخَلَتْ عَلَيْنَا الرَّبِيعُ فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لَهَا فَقَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَبِيحَةَ عُرْسِي وَعِنْدِي جَارِيَتَانِ تُغَنِّيَانِ وَتَنْدُبَانِ آبَائِي الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا بِبَدْرٍ وَتَقُولَانِ
[Machine] I said to Rabee'ah bint Mu'awwidh bin 'Afraa, "Describe to me the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." She replied, "If you had seen him, you would have seen the sun rising."
قُلْتُ لِلرَّبِيعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ صِفِي لِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ «لَوْ رَأَيْتُهُ رَأَيْتُ الشَّمْسَ طَالِعَةً»
