41. Chapter of Rā (Female)
[Machine] I left my husband and went to 'Umar, and asked him, "What am I required to do?" He replied, "You don't need to do anything except have a new marriage contract and wait until you menstruate." She said, "The Prophet's ﷺ ruling regarding this matter was only followed in the case of Maryam al-Maghrifiyah, when she was with Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas and she left him because of it."
[Machine] Regarding the ablution of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , she said, "Yes, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to us and visit us, and he would perform ablution with this container and with a similar container, which was about a Mudd in size. She said, "He would first wash his hands, then he would rinse his mouth and nose, then he would wash his face three times, then he would wash his hands three times, then he would wipe his head twice, and he would wipe both the outward and inward parts of his ears, and then he would wash his feet three times, three times."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and I poured water for him. He rinsed his mouth, sniffed water into his nostrils, washed his face three times, his arms three times, wiped his head twice starting from the back then to the front, wiped the back of his ears, inserted his fingers into the ear holes, and washed his feet three times.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to come to us and we would bring for him a container that had water in it, the amount of which would suffice for the entire city. He would pour it upon his hand, washing them three times, then he would gargle and rinse his mouth, and then he would wash his face three times. He would wipe his head once and then wipe the outer and inner parts of his ears. Finally, he would cleanse his feet.
[Machine] About the wudu' (ablution) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would perform ablution there. So, I went to her and asked her, and she brought a container to me. The container was about the length and a quarter of a handbreadth made of Hashimi fabric. She said, "I used to bring his ablution water in this." He would start by pouring water on his right hand, washing it three times before putting it in the container. Then he would rinse and sniff water three times, washing his face three times, washing his right hand three times, washing his left hand three times, then he would wipe his head both from the front and the back. Sufyan described how he wiped his head until he reached the beginning. This is the wording of the hadith of Ibn Abi 'Umar, and Ibn Abi 'Umar added in his hadith that Sufyan said, "And Ibn 'Ajlan informed me from Ibn 'Aqil who said, "Rabee'ah said, 'He then wiped his forehead and cheeks, then he returned them to their original position, then he extended them to his ears, then he wiped his ears, then he washed his feet."
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and wiped the front and back of his ears.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ wiped his head with what was in his hand, starting from the back of his head, then he moved it to the front of his head, then he moved it back.
It was narrated from ‘Ali that The Prophet () did wudoo’ washing each part three times. (Using translation from Aḥmad 928)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to us frequently. She said, "So he came to us and we prepared the basin for him, so he performed ablution and washed his hands three times. Then he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nostrils once. He washed his face three times, his arms three times, and wiped with what remained of his ablution twice, starting from the back of his head. Then he returned his hands to his forehead, and washed his feet three times, three times."
[Machine] I performed wudu (ablution) for the Prophet ﷺ, and I brought him a container of water that held nine or thirteen mud (measurement unit). He said, "Pour it." So, he performed wudu and wiped the front part of his head, and he wiped the outer part of his ears as well as the inner part of them.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us, performed ablution, wiped the front part of his head, and wiped the outer part of his ears and the inner part of them.
[Machine] I heard Rubay'ah bint Mu'awwidh ibn 'Afrah saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to us, and I would pour water for him, and he would perform ablution at our place, using an amount of water equivalent to one and a half large bowls. I would pour it on his hands three times, then he would put his hands in it and rinse his mouth, sniff water into his nose, and wash his face three times, his hands three times, and wipe his head and ears. Then he would wash his feet three times, three times."
[Machine] About the ablution of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , she said, "Yes, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ performed ablution using a vessel like this, and she pointed with her hand to a spot that takes a handful and one-third for the first washing, as I have seen. He then rinsed his mouth, sniffed water into his nostrils, washed his face and hands three times, wiped the front and back of his head, wiped his ears along with the back of his head, and washed his feet."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to us and narrate that he said, "Pour water for ablution." So I poured water for him in a container, which was a pot that holds a measure and one-third or a measure and one-fourth of water. He then said, "Pour on my hand." He washed his hands three times, and then said, "Put." So I handed him the water to perform ablution. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution by washing his face three times, gargling, blowing his nose once, and washing his right hand three times, then washing his left hand three times. He wiped his head twice, starting from the back of his head, then moving to the front, and also wiped both ears. He wiped the back of his neck and the front of it. He then washed his right foot three times, and washed his left foot three times.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to us and take a container of water with a sufficient amount, either a measure and a half or two-thirds of a measure. Then he would pour the water upon his hands three times, then he would rinse his mouth, inhale water into his nostrils, and then he would wash his face three times. He would then wipe his head twice and then wash his feet three times, three times.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution next to it, then he wiped his head. He wiped his entire head from above the hair in each direction. He did not move the hair from its original position.
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution. He wiped his head front and back, his temples and his ears once. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 129)
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fill his hands with water, then wipe his head with the front and back of his hands, and then return to the middle of his head and wipe it. He then took his hands to his ears and wiped the inside and outside of them, and he took the wax from his ears.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered and asked for water for ablution. A container that could hold a mudd and a third, or a mudd and a half, of the Prophet's ﷺ mudd was brought. The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution, washing his face, then washing his hands and wiping his head, and wiping the back of his head until he reached the middle in each wipe.
[Machine] I heard Rubayyah, the daughter of Mu'awwidh ibn 'Afra', say: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution, then he took fresh water and poured it on his head, wiped the back of his head with his hands, and then brought them forward."
