The Prophet ﷺ said, "Plague is the cause of martyrdom of every Muslim (who dies because of it). (Using translation from Bukhārī 2830)  

أحمد:١٣٧٠٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ سِيرِينَ قَالَتْ قَالَ لِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ بِمَ مَاتَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ؟ فَقُلْتُ بِالطَّاعُونِ فَقَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "(Death from) plague is martyrdom for every Muslim."
