I heard Abu Burda who accompanied Yazid bin Abi Kabsha on a journey. Yazid used to observe fasting on journeys. Abu Burda said to him, "I heard Abu Musa several times saying that Allah's Apostle said, 'When a slave falls ill or travels, then he will get reward similar to that he gets for good deeds practiced at home when in good health." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2996)

[Machine] I entered the house of Abu Musa to visit the daughter of Umm Al-Fadl. I sneezed, but she did not say "May Allah have mercy on you." Then she sneezed and I said "May Allah have mercy on you." I returned to my mother and informed her about it. When Abu Musa came to her, she said to him, "Your son sneezed in front of me but I did not say 'May Allah have mercy on you,' and then I sneezed and he said 'May Allah have mercy on you.'" Abu Musa said, "Indeed, your son sneezed and you did not praise Allah, so I did not say 'May Allah have mercy on you.' And when you sneezed and praised Allah, I said 'May Allah have mercy on you.'" Then I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "When any of you sneezes and praises Allah, you should say 'May Allah have mercy on you,' and if he does not praise Allah, do not say it." She said, "You did well, you did well."

One due to their justice and another due to their following enjoining of good and forbidding evil. And they receive a reward for it. And there is a type who does acts of injustice, and they receive two blames (due to their injustice) twice. One due to their injustice and another due to their not enjoining good and not forbidding evil. And so they bear the sin of it. And there is a type who does acts of injustice, so they bear the sin of that and another sin (that is) on the shoulders of the people (because of their actions).

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, I did not repeat a story for two consecutive days. However, I would sometimes hesitate and dislike it if men from the companions of Muhammad ﷺ or from some of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ testified to something and I witnessed it just like they did, and heard it just like they did, and they narrated it with different words than what they said. I knew that they did not deviate from goodness, so I feared that they would attribute to me what they attributed to them. Sometimes I would say, "If I were to narrate to you that I heard from the Prophet ﷺ, such and such, I would be truthful," and sometimes I would firmly say, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying such and such." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Nasr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, from Abu Harun al-Ghaniwi, who said: Hanit al-A'war narrated to me, from Muttarif, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, who narrated the Hadith similarly to this. [Machine] And Ismail said: "Once, the people passed by us on their way back from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . So, I approached them and listened until I memorized the Quran. The people were waiting for the conquest of Makkah to embrace Islam. When Makkah was conquered, a man would come to the Messenger of Allah and say, 'O Messenger of Allah, I am the envoy of the tribe of so-and-so, and I have come to embrace Islam.' Then, my father would go to his people to announce their Islam and return to them. So, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'Let those who have memorized the most Quran among you come forward.' They looked and I was only a boy, yet they did not find anyone who had memorized more Quran than me. They brought me forward, and I led them in prayer while I was wearing a sheet. Whenever I bowed or prostrated, my nakedness would be exposed. After we finished praying, an elderly woman said to us, 'O people, I have been blind for a long time, so protect us from your reader.' They cut a piece of their garment for me as I remembered how happy he, the Prophet, was with it, very delighted."

[Machine] A man stood before us in our gathering in Al-Baqi' and said, "My father or my uncle told me that he saw the Prophet ﷺ in Al-Baqi', saying, 'Whoever gives in charity, I will testify for him on the Day of Resurrection.' So, I took off my two dirty rags (torn clothes) and I wanted to give them in charity. Then, what can be given in charity by the son of Adam met me, and I tied the two rags with my Imama (turban). A man came whom I had not seen in Al-Baqi' to be whiter than him or more beautiful than his eyes, and his camel was the best camel I had ever seen in Al-Baqi'. He asked, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ ! Is this a charity?' The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'Yes.' The man said, 'This is better than the camel.' A man sitting by his side said, 'He gives it in charity whereas he is better than it!' The Prophet ﷺ heard this and said, 'You have lied. No, but he (the person who gave the charity) is better than him and from it (the camel) there will be three intercessions.' Then, the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Woe to the owners of the camels who burden themselves with them (by overloading), yet they will not reach (their destination) except in a miserable state.' They said, 'Except the one, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Except the one who says this and that (provides good provisions) and collects his hands from his right and left sides.' Then, he said, 'Indeed, the one who renounces the worldly life and makes effort in worship is indeed successful.'"
