[Machine] We were in the house of an Ansari man when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived and stood up. He took hold of a pillar by the door and said, "The leaders of Quraish have a right over you, and you have a similar right over them. When they seek peace, grant it to them, and when they judge, be just. When they make a pledge, fulfill it. Whoever does not do so among them, then upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people."  

كُنَّا فِي بَيْتِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَجَاءَ رسول الله ﷺ حَتَّى وَقَفَ فَأَخَذَ بِعِضَادَتيِ الْبَابِ فَقَالَ الْأَئِمَّةُ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَلَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَقٌّ وَلَكُمْ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ مَا إِذَا اسْتُرْحِمُوا رَحِمُوا وَإِذَا حَكَمُوا عَدَلُوا وَإِذَا عَاهَدُوا وَفَّوْا فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ  

[Machine] I speak of it every Sunday, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood at the door of the house while we were inside. The leaders of the Quraysh said, "They have a right over you, and you have a right over them the same way, when they seek protection, you grant it to them, and when they make a promise, you fulfill it, and when they judge, they do so with justice. So whoever does not do this from among them, has the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people upon them."  

أُحَدِّثُهُ كُلَّ أَحَدٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ عَلَى بَابِ الْبَيْتِ وَنَحْنُ فِيهِ فَقَالَ الْأَئِمَّةُ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَقًّا وَلَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ حَقًّا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ مَا إِنْ اسْتُرْحِمُوا فَرَحِمُوا وَإِنْ عَاهَدُوا وَفَوْا وَإِنْ حَكَمُوا عَدَلُوا فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ  

[Machine] Abu Barzah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, "The leaders from Quraysh, if they show mercy, they should be merciful, and if they make a promise, they should fulfill it, and if they judge, they should be just. Whoever among them does not do this, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people."  

سَمِعَ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْأَئِمَّةُ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ إِذَا اسْتُرْحِمُوا رَحِمُوا وَإِذَا عَاهَدُوا وَفَوْا وَإِذَا حَكَمُوا عَدَلُوا فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came while we were in a house, and each one of us delayed leaving his seat in order to allow the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to sit. He stood at the door and said, "The leaders of the Quraysh have their rights, and I have my rights. So if they make just decisions, they are fair. And if they make agreements, they fulfill them. And if they seek protection, they are granted it. But whoever does not do these things, the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people is upon them."  

جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ فِي بَيْتٍ فَكُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنَّا تَأَخَّرَ عَنْ مَجْلِسِهِ لِيَجْلِسَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ عَلَى الْبَابِ فَقَالَ الْأَئِمَّةُ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَلَهُمْ حَقٌّ وَلِي حَقٌّ مَا فَعَلُوا ثَلَاثًا إِنْ حَكَمُوا عَدَلُوا وَإِنْ عَاهَدُوا وَفَّوْا وَإِنِ اسْتُرْحِمُوا رَحِمُوا فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ  

"الأئِمَّةُ مِن قُرَيش وَلَكُم عَلَيهم حقٌّ وَلَهُمْ عَلَيكُم حَقٌّ ما فَعَلُوا ثَلاثًا: مَا حَكَمُوا فَعَدَلُوا، واسْتُرْحِمُوا فَرَحمُوا، وَعَاهَدُا فَوَفَّوْا، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِك مِنْهُم فَعَلَيه لَعْنَةُ الله وَالملائكَةِ وَالْنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ" .  

"الأئمَّةُ مِنْ قُرَيش وَلَهُم عَلَيكُمْ حَقٌّ وَلَكُمْ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ مَا إِنْ

اسْتُرْحِمُوا رَحِموا، وَإنْ اسْتُحكمُوا عَدلُوا، وَإنْ عَاهَدُوا وَفَّوْا، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ فَعَلَيه لَعْنَةُ الله وَالْمَلائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ، لا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفٌ وَلَا عَدْلٌ" .  

"الأُمراءُ من قريشٍ، الأُمراءُ مِنْ قُريش، الأُمراءُ من قريشٍ، لكُمْ

عَليَهِم حَقٌّ، ولَهُمْ عليكم حق ما فعلوا ثلاثًا: ما حكموا فعدلوا، واستُرحِمُوا فرحموا، وَعَاهَدُوا فَوفَّوْا، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَل ذلك منهم فَعَلَيهُ لَعْنَةُ الله والملائِكَةُ والنَّاسُ أَجْمَعِين" .  

"عَنْ عَليٍّ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَقَالَ: أَلَا إنَّ الأُمَرَاءَ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، أَلَا إِنَّ الأُمَراَءَ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، أَلَا إِنَّ الأُمَرَاءَ مِنْ قُريْشٍ مَا أَقَامُوا بِثَلَاثٍ: مَا حَكَمُوا فَعَدَلُوا، وَمَا عَاهَدُوا فَوَفَوْا، وَمَا اسْتُرْحِمُوا فَرَحِمُوا، مَنْ لم يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ الله والْمَلَائِكَةِ والنَّاسِ أجْمَعِينَ".
