Messenger of Allah ﷺ was upon the mountain of Hira, ' and there were along with him Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman. 'Ali, Talha, 'Zubair, that the mountain stirred; thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Be calm, there is none upon you but a Prophet, a Fiddle (the testifier of truth) and a Martyr.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ هُوَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فَتَحَرَّكَتِ الصَّخْرَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ اهْدَأْ فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ

Hira! be calm, for there is none upon you but a Prophet, a Siddiq, a Shahid, and there were upon it Allah's Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, 'Umar, Uthman, 'Ali, Talha, Zubair, Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas (Allah be pleased witli them).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ عَلَى جَبَلِ حِرَاءٍ فَتَحَرَّكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ اسْكُنْ حِرَاءُ فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ وَعَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ؓ

Abdullah ibn Zalim al-Mazini said: I heard Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl say: When so and so came to Kufah, and made so and so stand to address the people, Sa'id ibn Zayd caught hold of my hand and said: Are you seeing this tyrant? I bear witness to the nine people that they will go to Paradise. If I testify to the tenth too, I shall not be sinful. I asked: Who are the nine? He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said when he was on Hira': Be still, Hira', for only a Prophet, or an ever-truthful, or a martyr is on you. I asked: Who are those nine? He said: The Messenger of Allah, AbuBakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talhah, az-Zubayr, Sa'd ibn AbuWaqqas and AbdurRahman ibn Awf. I asked: Who is the tenth? He paused a moment and said: it is I. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by al-Ashja'i, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Hilal b. Yasaf, from Ibn Hayyan on the authority of 'Abd Allah b. Zalim through his different chain of narrators in a a similar manner.

لَمَّا قَدِمَ فُلاَنٌ الْكُوفَةَ أَقَامَ فُلاَنٌ خَطِيبًا فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ أَلاَ تَرَى إِلَى هَذَا الظَّالِمِ فَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ إِنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَمْ إِيثَمْ قَالَ ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ وَالْعَرَبُ تَقُولُ آثَمْ قُلْتُ وَمَنِ التِّسْعَةُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ قُلْتُ وَمَنِ التِّسْعَةُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ قُلْتُ وَمَنِ الْعَاشِرُ فَتَلَكَّأَ هُنَيَّةً ثُمَّ قَالَ أَنَا

that Sa'eed bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail said: "I bear witness for nine people, that they are in Paradise, and if I were to bear witness for a tenth, I would not be sinful." It was said: "How is that?" He said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at (mount) Hira when he said, 'Be firm, Hira! There is not upon you any but a Prophet, or a Siddiq, or a martyr." It was said: "And who were they?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman, 'Ali, Talhah, Az-Zubair, Sa'd, and 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf." It was said: "And who is the tenth?" He said: "Me."

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَمْ آثَمْ قِيلَ وَكَيْفَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِحِرَاءَ فَقَالَ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ قِيلَ وَمَنْ هُمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ قِيلَ فَمَنِ الْعَاشِرُ قَالَ أَنَا

'I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Stand firm, O (mountain of) Hira', for there is no one upon you but a Prophet, a Siddiq or a martyr.' " Then he listed them as follows: "The Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman, 'Ali, Talhah, Zubair, Sa'd, Ibn 'Awf and Sa'eed bin Zaid."

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ وَعَدَّهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَابْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Dwell in Hira, for there is none upon you except a Prophet, or a truthful person, or a martyr.’ He said: ‘And upon it were the Prophet ﷺ , Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talhah, Zubair, Saad, Abdur Rahman bin Awf and Said bin Zaid.’"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ اسْكُنْ حِرَاءُ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ قَالَ وَعَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ

[AI] Al-Mughira ibn Shuba gave a sermon and spoke against Ali, so Saeed ibn Zayd came out and said: Do you not marvel at this? He is insulting Ali! I bear witness about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that we were on Hira or Uhud, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Be still, Hira or Uhud, for upon you are only a truthful one or a martyr." Then the Prophet ﷺ named the ten. He named Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubayr, Saad, Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, and he named himself, Saeed.

خَطَبَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ، فَنَالَ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ، فَخَرَجَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، فَقَالَ: أَلَا تَعْجَبُ مِنْ هَذَا؟ يَسُبُّ عَلِيًّا! أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّا كُنَّا عَلَى حِرَاءٍ أَوْ أُحُدٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ أَوْ أُحُدُ، فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ». فَسَمَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْعَشْرَةَ، فَسَمَّى أَبَا بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، وَعُثْمَانَ، وَعَلِيًّا، وَطَلْحَةَ، وَالزُّبَيْرَ، وَسَعْدًا، وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، وَسَمَّى نَفْسَهُ سَعِيدًا.

[AI] "Do you not see this unjust man who commands the cursing of a man from the people of Paradise? So I bear witness on behalf of the nine that they are in Paradise, and if I were to bear witness on behalf of the tenth, I would not be wrong. He said, "I asked, 'And who are they?' He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Zubayr, Talha, Abdur-Rahman bin Auf, and Saad bin Malik.' He then remained silent. I said, 'And who is the tenth?' He said, 'It is me.'"

لَمَّا خَرَجَ مُعَاوِيَةُ مِنَ الْكُوفَةِ اسْتَعْمَلَ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ فَأَقَامَ خُطَبَاءَ يَقَعُونَ فِي عَلِيٍّ قَالَ وَأَنَا إِلَى جَنْبِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ قَالَ فَغَضِبَ فَقَامَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَتَبِعْتُهُ فَقَالَ أَلا تَرَى إِلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ الظَّالِمِ لِنَفْسِهِ الَّذِي يَأْمُرُ بِلَعْنِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ فَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَمْ آثَمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَنْ هُمْ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَطَلْحَةُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَمَنِ العَاشِرُ؟ قَالَ قَالَ أَنَا

[AI] Ali is one of the people of Paradise. I said, "And what is that?" He said, "He is among the nine. And if I wanted to name the tenth, I would name him." He said, "Hiraa' shook." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Stay steady, Hiraa', for there is no one on you but a Prophet, or a truthful person, or a martyr." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "And Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali, Uthman, Talha, Zubair, Abdul Rahman ibn Awf, Saad, and I, meaning Sa'id himself."

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ قُلْتُ وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ هُوَ فِي التِّسْعَةِ وَلَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أُسَمِّيَ الْعَاشِرَ سَمَّيْتُهُ قَالَ اهْتَزَّ حِرَاءٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَعُثْمَانُ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعْدٌ وَأَنَا يَعْنِي سَعِيدٌ نَفْسَهُ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ was upon the mountain of Hira, ' and there were along with him Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman. [AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting on Hira' with Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman. The mountain moved, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Calm down, Hira', for you have nothing on you except a prophet, a truthful friend, or a martyr."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ جَالِسًا عَلَى حِرَاءٍ وَمَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ فَتَحَرَّكَ الْجَبَلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ

[AI] "Mughira bin Shu'ba used to include Ali in his sermons, and he appointed orators who also included Ali in their sermons. While he was delivering a sermon and praising Ali, Sa'id bin Zaid bin Amr bin Nufayl al-'Adawi, who was sitting next to me, punched me with his hand and said, 'Do you not see what he is saying? Or should I say, these are my witnesses, the nine who are assured of paradise. And if I were to testify about the tenth, I would be truthful. We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hira, myself, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubayr, Sa'd, and Abdul Rahman bin Awf when the mountain shook.' The Prophet ﷺ then said, 'Hold on to Hira, for you will have nothing but a prophet, a truthful one, or a martyr.'"

كَانَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ يَنَالُ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ وَأَقَامَ خُطَبَاءَ يَنَالُونَ مِنْهُ فَبَيْنَا هُوَ يَخْطُبُ وَنَالَ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ وَإِلَى جَنْبِي سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ قَالَ فَضَرَبَنِي بِيَدِهِ وَقَالَ «أَلَا تَرَى مَا يَقُولُ هَذَا؟ أَوْ قَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ حَلَفْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَصَدَقْتُ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِحِرَاءٍ أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فَتَزَلْزَلَ الْجَبَلُ» فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ»

خُطَبَاءُ يَتَنَاوَلُونَ عَلِيًّا ؓ وَفِي الدَّارِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي وَقَالَ أَلَا تَرَى هَذَا الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي أَرَى يَلْعَنُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَمْ آثَمُ فَقُلْتُ مَنِ التِّسْعَةُ؟ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ فَقَالَ «اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ نَبِيًّا وَصَدِّيقًا وَشَهِيدًا» قُلْتُ مَنْ هُمْ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ قُلْتُ مَنِ الْعَاشِرُ؟ فَتَفَكَّرَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ أَنَا

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was on Mount Hira and he moved and struck with his foot and said, "Be calm, Hira, for there is none upon you but a Prophet or a Siddiq or a martyr." And these people were with him: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, Saad, Abdur Rahman ibn Awf, and myself, meaning himself.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ فَتَحَرَّكَ فَضَرَبَ بِرِجْلِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «اسْكُنْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ» وَهَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمُ مَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَأَنَا يَعْنِي نَفْسَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on Mount Hira and the mountain began to shake. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Stay firm, O Hira, for there is nothing upon you but a prophet, a truthful one or a martyr." With him were the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubayr, Abdul Rahman ibn Awf, Saad, and Sa'id ibn Zaid ibn Amr ibn Nufayl.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى حِرَاءَ فَتَزَلْزَلَ الْجَبَلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اثْبُتْ يَا حِرَاءُ فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ» وَعَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعْدٌ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Establish prayer for the sake of Allah, for there is no obligation upon you except a Prophet or a truthful person or a martyr.' Upon him are the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr and Umar and Uthman and Ali and Talhah and Zubayr and Abdur-Rahman bin Awf and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas and me."

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ» وَعَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَأنا

[AI] Saeed ibn Zaid bears witness to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying: "Establish Hira, for there is no one upon whom it is incumbent except a prophet, a truthful person, or a martyr." The Prophet, ﷺ , mentioned Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, Saad, Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf, Saeed ibn Zaid, and Hilal ibn Yasaf, who did not hear it from Abdullah ibn Zalim.

سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ» وَعَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ هِلَالُ بْنُ يَسَافٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ

[AI] When Muawiya arrived in Kufa, Al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba appointed orators to criticize Ali. Sa'id ibn Zayd took my hand and said, "Do you not see this oppressor commanding the curse of a man from the people of Paradise? I testify about the nine that they are in Paradise, and if I were to testify about the tenth, I would say who the nine are." He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on Mount Hira and said, "Be firm, for upon you are none but a Prophet, a truthful one, or a martyr." [Sa'id] said, "And who are the nine?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, Sa'd, Abd al-Rahman." [Sa'id] asked, "And who is the tenth?" He said, "I am."

لَمَّا قَدِمَ مُعَاوِيَةُ الْكُوفَةَ أَقَامَ مُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ خُطَبَاءَ يَتَنَاوَلُونَ عَلِيًّا فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي سَعِيدَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ «أَلَا تَرَى هَذَا الظَّالِمَ الَّذِي يَأْمُرُ بِلَعْنِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ قُلْتُ مَنِ التِّسْعَةُ» قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ «اثْبُتْ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ» قَالَ وَمَنِ التِّسْعَةُ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ» قُلْتُ مَنِ الْعَاشِرُ قَالَ «أَنَا»

" عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثنِى أبِى أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ صَعدَ حِرَاءَ فَارْتَجَّ بِهِمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : اسكنْ حِرَاءُ! فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِىٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أوْ شَهِيدٌ، وَعَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ وَأبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ، وَعُثْمَانُ، وَعَلِىٌّ، وَطَلْحَةُ، وَالزُّبيْرُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِى وَقَّاصٍ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ".

"عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى حِرَاءَ فَذَكرَ عَشْرةً فِى الْجَنَّةِ، أبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعمرُ، وَعُثْمانُ، وَعَلىٌّ، وَطَلْحَةُ، والزُّبَيْرُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحَمنِ بنُ عَوْفٍ، وَسَعدُ بْنُ مَالكٍ، وَسَعيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ، وَعَبدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ".

"عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى حِرَاءَ فَتَزَلْزَلَ الْجَبَلُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَمَا عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِىٌّ، أَوْ صدِّيقٌ، أَوْ شَهِيدٌ، وَعَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْر، وَعُمرُ، وَعُثْمَانُ، وعَلىٌّ، وَطَلَحَةُ، والزُّبَيْرُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، وَسَعدُ بْنُ أبِى وَقَّاصٍ، وَسَعِيدُ بْن زَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَرو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ".
