The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever drinks an intoxicant and puts it in his belly, Allah will not accept his Salah for seven ˹days˺, if he dies during them then he will die as a disbeliever. If he was too intoxicated to offer any of the obligatory" – ˹and the narrator˺ Ibn Adam said: "or ˹understanding of˺ the Qurān, his Salah will not be accepted for forty days. If he dies during them, he will die as a disbeliever."
Whoever drinks an intoxicant and does not get intoxicated, his Salah will not be accepted so long as any trace of it remains in his belly or his veins, and if he dies he will die as a disbeliever. If he becomes intoxicated his Salah will not be accepted for forty nights, and if he dies during them, he will die as a disbeliever.

I entered upon ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ while he was in an orchard of his in Ṭāʾif called al-Wahṭ, and he was restraining a young man from Quraysh who was suspected of drinking wine. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Whoever drinks wine once, his repentance will not be accepted for forty mornings; if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns (to it), his repentance will not be accepted for forty mornings; if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns again, it will be a due right upon Allah to make him drink from the mud of al-khabāl on the Day of Resurrection.” The wording is that of ʿAmr.

[Machine] I visited Abdullah ibn Amr while he was in his garden in Ta'if, called Al-Wahat, and he was talking to a young man from Quraysh who was rumored to drink wine. I said to him, "I have heard a hadith that whoever drinks a sip of wine will not have his repentance accepted by God for forty days, and that the miserable is the one who is miserable in his mother's womb, and that whoever goes to the House of Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) for nothing but prayer will have his sins erased as if he were reborn." When the young man heard the mention of wine, he withdrew his hand from Abdulah's hand and left. Abdullah ibn Amr then said, "I do not allow anyone to attribute to me something I did not say. I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, 'Whoever drinks a sip of wine, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days, but if he repents, God will accept his repentance. If he returns to it, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days, but if he repents, God will forgive him again. If he returns for the third or fourth time, I do not know for sure, it will be a right upon God to make him drink from the pond of 'Khabal' on the Day of Resurrection.' I also heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, 'God created His creation in darkness, then cast His light upon them on that day. Whoever was touched by His light was guided, and whoever it missed was misguided. That is why I say the pen has dried according to the knowledge of God.' I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, 'Solomon the son of David, ﷺ , asked God for three things, and He granted him two, and we hope that the third one was granted for him as well. He asked for a judgment that coincides with God’s judgment, and God granted it to him. He asked for a kingdom that no one after him would deserve, and God granted it to him. And he asked that whoever leaves his house intending only to pray in this mosque would have his sins erased as if he was reborn, and we hope that God has granted him that as well.'"

[Machine] Al-Awza'i praised and the wording of this hadith is from Abu al-Abbas who said: Rabia bin Yazid and Yahya bin Abi 'Amr al-Saybani narrated to me, they said: 'Abdullah bin Firoz al-Daylami narrated to me, he said: I entered upon Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-'As while he was in a wall in Taif called al-Wahat and he was lecturing a young man from the Quraysh. And this young man would indulge in drinking wine.
So I said to Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-'As, "Tell me something about you that I can narrate from you about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Whoever drinks wine, his repentance will not be accepted for forty mornings." The young man clenched his hand with the hand of Abdullah, then he turned away. Abdullah said: "Indeed, a miserable person is the one who is miserable in his mother's womb. And whoever leaves his house intending only to pray in al-Masjid al-Haram, he will come out of his sin like the day his mother gave birth to him."
Abdullah bin 'Amr bin al-'As said: "O Allah! I will not permit anyone to attribute to me what I did not say. Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever drinks wine, his repentance will not be accepted for forty mornings. But if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. But if he returns to it, his repentance will not be accepted for forty mornings.' I do not remember if it was on the third or fourth time that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Then it is a right upon Allah to make him drink from the mud of the Kohl on the Day of Resurrection.'"
He said: "I also heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'Indeed, Allah created His creation in darkness and then He cast upon them some of His light. So whoever receives some of that light on that day, then he has been guided. And whoever is misguided, then it is because of that.' So I say: The pen has dried upon the knowledge of Allah."
And I also heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'Indeed, Sulaiman bin Dawud asked his Lord three times, so He gave him two and we hope that He gave him the third. He asked Him for a judgment that aligns with his judgment, so He gave it to him. And he asked Him for a kingdom that none after him should have, so He gave it to him. And he asked Him that whenever a man leaves his house and intends only to pray in this mosque, he should come out of his sin like the day his mother gave birth to him. We hope that Allah has given him that.' Al-Awza'i said: Rabia bin Yazid narrated this hadith to me between al-Miqsilat and al-Jasa'ir.

[Machine] Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, Umar ibn Al-Khattab, and some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, sat together after the death of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. They discussed the greatest sins, but they did not have knowledge about them. So, they sent me to Abdullah ibn Amr to ask him about it. He informed me that the greatest of sins is drinking alcohol. I went back to them and informed them, but they denied it and disputed with me until they went to Abdullah ibn Amr's house. I informed him about their denial, and he told them that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "There was a man from the Children of Israel who was given the choice to either drink alcohol, kill someone, commit adultery, eat pork, or be killed. If he refused, they would kill him. So, he chose to drink alcohol. After he drank it, he did not refrain from anything they wanted from him." The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, also said to us, "Anyone who drinks alcohol, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty nights, and if he dies within forty nights, he will die the way a pre-Islamic pagan dies."

[Machine] The messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drinks wine and becomes intoxicated by it, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. If he drinks it again until he becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. If he drinks it a third time until he becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. If he drinks it a fourth time and becomes intoxicated, then it is rightful for Allah to make him drink from the pus of Hell."
It was asked, "What is the pus of Hell?" He ﷺ said, "It is the discharge of the people of Hell."

If he drinks wine again and gets drunk, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days, and if he dies he will enter Hell, but if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he drinks wine again and gets drunk, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days, and if he dies he will enter Hell, but if he repents Allah will accept his repentance. But if he does it again, then Allah will most certainly make him drink of the mire of the puss or sweat on the Day of Resurrection.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is the mire of the pus or sweat? He said: “The drippings of the people of Hell.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3377)

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever drinks a sip of wine, Allah will not accept from him his prayers and good deeds for three days. And whoever drinks a cup (of wine), Allah will not accept from him his prayers and good deeds for forty mornings. And the habitual drinker of wine, it is a right upon Allah that He gives him to drink from the river of Al-Khabal." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the river of Al-Khabal?" He said, "It is the pus of the people of Hellfire."

[Machine] Regarding the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he said, "Whoever drinks alcohol and becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights. And if he dies in that state, he will enter the Fire. But if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. However, if he drinks again, it will be the same. And if he drinks a third time, it will be the same. But if he drinks a fourth time, it becomes the right of Allah to make him drink from the sludge of impurity." It was asked, "What is the sludge of impurity?" He replied, "It is the juice of the people of the Fire."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever drinks alcohol, his prayers will not be accepted for forty nights. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. He said it three times. If he repeats the sin, it is upon Allah to make him drink from the river of filth." It was asked, "What is the river of filth?" He said, "It is the pus of the people of Hell."

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever drinks alcohol, Allah will not accept his repentance for forty days. If he dies in this state, he dies as a disbeliever. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he repeats it, it is certain that Allah will make him drink the pus of the people of hell." And if he dies while in that state, he dies as disbeliever. And if his mind is distracted from fulfilling any of the obligatory duties, his prayers will not be accepted from him for forty days. And if he dies during that time, he dies as disbeliever."

[Machine] And I heard him say, "Whoever drinks alcohol in this world, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns [to drinking], his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he returns [again], his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he drinks it for the fourth time, it is the right of Allah to make him drink from the mud of Khabeel." It was asked, "What is the mud of Khabeel?" He said, "The pus of the people of Hell."

The Prophet [SAW] said: "Whoever drinks Khamr and puts it in his belly, Allah will not accept his Salah for seven (days), if he dies during them" - Muhammad bin Adam (One of the narrators) said: "he will die a Kafir. If he was too intoxicated to offer any of the obligatory" - Ibn Adam said: "or recite Qur'an, his Salah will not be accepted for 40 days, and if he dies during them," And Ibn Adam said: "He will die a Kafir." "I entered upon 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As when he was in a garden of his in At-Ta'if called Al-Waht. He was walking and holding hands with a young man of Quraish who was suspected of drinking Khamr. He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: Whoever drinks Khamr once, his repentance will not be accepted for 40 days, then if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he does it again, his repentance will not be accepted for 40 days, then if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. [Machine] A king from the kings of the Israelites captured a man and gave him a choice between drinking wine, killing a person, committing adultery, eating pork, or being killed if he refused. The man chose to drink wine, and when he drank it, he did not refuse anything they wanted from him. No one drinks it and has their prayers accepted for forty nights. They will not die while they have it in their bladder except that paradise is forbidden for them because of it. If they die within forty nights, they die a death of ignorance.
