"The Messenger of Allah enjoined Sadaqatul Fitr, a Sa' of barley or a Sa of dates or a Sa' of cottage cheese."
فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ
"The Messenger of Allah enjoined Sadaqatul Fitr, a Sa' of barley or a Sa of dates or a Sa' of cottage cheese."
فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ has made Sadaqat-ul-Fitr obligatory, (and it was), either one Sa' of barley or one Sa' of dates (and its payment was obligatory) on young and old people, and on free men as well as on slaves.
فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ عَلَى الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ وَالْحُرِّ وَالْمَمْلُوكِ
Ibn 'Umar said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prescribed Zakat-ul-Fitr one sa' of dates or one sa' of barley for every slave or freeman, young or old.
فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ عَلَى كُلِّ
Ibn 'Abbas said concerning Sadaqatul-Fitr. "A Sa' of wheat, or a Sa' of dates, or Sa of barley, or a Sa' of rye." (Sahih Mawquf)
صَاعًا مِنْ بُرٍّ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ سُلْتٍ
"At the time of the Messenger of Allah we used to give a Sa' of dates, or a Sa' of barley, or a Sa' of cottage cheese, and we did not give anything else."
كُنَّا نُخْرِجُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ لاَ نُخْرِجُ غَيْرَهُ
Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr, one Sa, of barley or one Sa of dates for every Muslim, free or slave, male or female.”
فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
that the Messenger of Allah enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr, one Sa of dates, one Sa of barley, or one Sa of Sult (a kind of barley without skin on it, resembling wheat).
عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ مُؤَذِّنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ سُلْتٍ
Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr, one Sa, of barley or one Sa of dates for every Muslim, free or slave, male or female.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1826)
فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ عَنْ كُلِّ ذَكَرٍ وَأُنْثَى وَحُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "When he (referring to Prophet Muhammad) mandated the payment of Zakat al-Fitr, he ordered to give a Sa'a (a measure) of dates or a Sa'a of barley, and nothing else was to be given as Zakat al-Fitr except dates."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ حِينَ فَرَضَ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ وَكَانَ لَا يُخْرَجُ إِلَّا التَّمْرُ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ enjoined upon us the obligation of giving a Sa' of barley or a Sa' of dates as charity in Ramadan."
«فَرَضَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَدَقَةَ رَمَضَانَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ»
